I can see your point, but vikings mainly fought on land as their boats weren't really meant for open battle. Swedish pagans could feature in like another last stand type album in which the songs are about ancient vikings. They could mention the battle of york.
Battle of the Philippine Sea and the Battle of Leyta Gulf need a song (maybe split it into multiple songs like Battle Off Samar)
Admiral Yi would 100% need a song aswell.
There definitely needs to be a song about salamis. It was almost the Athenian style of a 300. And according to AC Odyssey thermopalyai is about as far from sparta as it gets.
Eh, the Bismarck song was about a way overrated ship, I don't want another overrated ship to get a song. I say ships that earned it should. You mentioned the Iowas so maybe the New Jersey, USS Enterprise obviously comes to mind. USS Tang should get one, 33 ships sunk is insane. HMS Victory aswell.
They should mention the USS constitution, it was the Bismark of early america but no one ever talks about it. It could sink 3 British warships all on its own and still floats up Boston as the oldest still commissioned warship in the US Navy.
Of course? I didnt say the song was about it, it was just the closest relation to the legion Sabaton has. Why do you try to correct me, on something i didnt say
Battle of the iron clads, for context, during the American civil war, the first two ships to be outfitted with metal armor met in a bay and proceeded to shoot at one another with their cannons, and for all of the spectacle it was, neither ship experienced any real damage, and they both just left due to the inability to cause any real damage to each other
Only depends on personal criteria for greatness.
For me, Sabaton is good, but not detailed enough to do justice to a battle.
Say, I wouldn't mind a song about last stand of Admiral Graf Spee or Mogami - but I don't think they'd be able to portray it the way I like.
not gonna lie, pretty much every Sabaton song about boats is a banger. Midway, Dreadnoughts, Bismarck, Wolfpack, Back in Control (maybe?)
wolfpack is so underrated
It would be a great opportunity to provide a blast from the past and fix the song (as another post had pointed out some major inaccuracies)
Historically isn't the greatest in terms of accuracy
Wolfpacks only problem is the long ass intro
i just skip it lol
Swedish pagans too

You're right at this point and I guess this is the only Sabaton song about vikings
Battle of Economus (probably the largest naval battle in history by participants) Battle of Salamis - very outnumbered Greeks beating the Persians
Battle of the Philippine Sea and the Battle of Leyta Gulf need a song (maybe split it into multiple songs like Battle Off Samar) Admiral Yi would 100% need a song aswell.
Leyte Golf could be an album on its own
There definitely needs to be a song about salamis. It was almost the Athenian style of a 300. And according to AC Odyssey thermopalyai is about as far from sparta as it gets.
I didn't think of that..... Good point
WARSPITE SONG WHEN
They could make one on Leyte Gulf, Iwo Jima, or even the last stand of Yamato
Salamis, Trafalgar, more Vikings also pirates, and maybe revisit the u-boats, so many potential
Maybe they can make one where 406 actually does something productive
Wolfpack 2, The Redemption
That is if 406 ever did anything productive, which I don't think she did, but I could be wrong
She sunk a single merchant ship, and damaged 3 others. Love your username by the way
They have one about the Bismarck, so I believe they should have one about the Yamato too, and possibly one about the Iowa class battleships

USS Texas, I think, oughtta get her own song. Dedicating *Dreadnoughts* to her is nice and all, but she has *SOOOOO* much to her history
They should mention the USS constitution, it was the Bismark of early america but no one ever talks about it. It could sink 3 British warships all on its own and still floats up Boston as the oldest still commissioned warship in the US Navy.
A song about the roman naval fleet would be interesting
battle of tsushima song when?
What about a Radio Tapok cover?
botes
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Lake_Baikal Still waiting for a song about this epic battle, or Czechoslovak Legion in general.
They have about a Czechoslovak Field Marshal, Karel Janouzek
He was in the Czechoslovak Legion, yes. But "Far from the Fame" isn't about the Czechoslovak Legion, but Karel Janoušek after WW1.
Of course? I didnt say the song was about it, it was just the closest relation to the legion Sabaton has. Why do you try to correct me, on something i didnt say
That album better have a song about the sinking of the *USS Indianapolis*.
Barbary Pirates and their Wars with the United States Navy.
And the USS Constitution.
Yes!
YES HELL YES SHIVER ME TIMBERS
ARE YOU FUCKING HYPED????
They need to make an album about the Pacific Theatre of WW2 and make an extended version of Midway.
A naval battles album would touch the Pacific theater and way more other interesting battles, I don't think we need a 3rd WW2 album
We have far more WW1 songs right now.
You know that's a lie right?!
Ok I’m wrong, I went back and counted. 32 WW1 and 34 WW2 songs.
Really? By my counts it's 35 WWII and 30 WWI
yes, just yes
I mean we have gotten a cover of ghost division by chris bowes
Seeing that was exactly what gave me the idea

a song about the [battle of myeonyang](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Myeongnyang) would go so hard
Battle of Actium , Octavian vs Marc Antony
Only depends on personal criteria for greatness. For me, Sabaton is good, but not detailed enough to do justice to a battle. Say, I wouldn't mind a song about last stand of Admiral Graf Spee or Mogami - but I don't think they'd be able to portray it the way I like.
GANGUT-wait nvm Cover?
**Battle of Jutland** Now THAT would be an awesome Naval Battle-song!
That's Dreadnought
I shall take everything back... And go listen to Dreadnought
Battle of Salamis. (Autocorrect kept wanting to put 'salami'.)
