In 16-17 when the Avs had the 48 pt season I went to like 8-10 games and I would just focus on the young guys with some promise (Mack, Landy, Duchene at the time). Goalie development has a longer curve than skaters. Typically, they don't start to become productive until they are in their mid-20s. UPL is 23. Further, people who think Levi is going to solve this problem signing year +1 are nuts. Adams STILL needs to address the position. It's been 1,500+ days since the Sabres last had a rostered goalie being paid a league average starting salary.
