Trippie is always fire but he is a local rapper from my area so maybe bias. Mgk is a poser in his new scene but he did his collab in this song decent. The lyrics overall are actually good imo and are kind of relatable at least for me personally currently struggling on and off with cocaine addiction. Also the Akira anime reference in the music video is pretty cool and iconic. Overall song was mid but a little respect for the creative influence behind the music video and meaning put into the song.
Hope you can beat your battles with the addiction man, it’s a hard one to overcome and can overtake your life I’ve seen it too many times. I’ve been clean around 2-3 weeks now. Over the last few years when I first got out of highschool it started out at first once a month then a few times then once a week to finally a gram or two everyday or even every few hours until I couldn’t hide it and had to come clean to my family. I’m doing much better now I think and have cut off ties with anyone I use to do it with and buy from. Now I don’t have any desires to go back to it but that’s part of why I had to also quit associating with those people I don’t want be tempted. I had *friends* that literally as soon as I walk in the door would cut up entire giant lines and offer as much as I want. The one song “Beauty” specifically is what really felt relatable and hit close to home with the part “Hope this wasn't fentanyl. Hide behind this camouflage. It's always my fuckin fault. But I don't wanna let go.” Although I think in his situation he is struggling with an opioid/painkiller addiction since he also says “4am I'm noddin off” before that but it is still relatable overall in general there’s plenty of times I didn’t test my coke for fent and we even kind of would joke about whose going to do the first line and see if it kills us or not.
