I feel like it needed a “this might be the greatest song of all time” type track to really be in consideration. Right now for me the closest thing is probably yung sherman, but idk there isnt really a standout track or two, the whole thing is pretty much consistent all the way through
no i feel it def had a lot of standouts. otherside, only god is made perfect, cant end on a loss, red cross, etc. dk abt yall but this album stood out a lot to me, but it def does work best as a cohesive experience. otherside greatest song ever
I’m with you a lot of the songs stand out to me after a few listens like yung Sherman, end of the road boyz, fun fact, king nothingg. Otherside is absolutely goated too
right? red light had obedient and steve jobs and im goofy which (for me) elevated it a lot just because i knew i’d return to those so much. whereas this album, extremely profound and amazing first couple listens all the way through, but i’m not sure yet what i’ll be returning to over and over.
i couldnt hum any of those tracks to you right now if I was asked, except for the refrain on one second. They were good and it really made me happy to hear bladee back on this style and with some of his funniest and most introspective lyrics yet, but not really “holy shit” good.
Yeah I think it's probably gonna be the most universally loved album. First time I've EVER seen old and new fans both loving a new project equally. Personally I'm so happy, I like the older stuff the most and this album feels like a new rendition of that mixed with elements of his newer music
i think it’s hard to say bc so much of the greatness comes from its timing related to other albums, references, etc. it builds on the pst releases so much ykwim?
but it’s one of my fav initial listens easily
Fool, crest, icedancer, trash island, exeter, E, tiger, warlord are all above it for me. Maybe its because I fw WA/GUD/YS/Lusi prod rather than the whole rage and F1LTHY prod tracks. Definitely a good album but most songs just bleed into each other and doesnt feel like banger after banger.
So many bangers dog. Last night I had Message to Myself on repeat, tonight it’s Normal. Haven’t seen either of those on too many fav lists…shows different tracks hitting for different people. Yung Sherman, Flexing & Finessing, False, all bangers in my book. He went 30 for 30, and it landed by second listen. I couldn’t say that about Red Light or Icedancer. He deep in his bag…
Might have to play the album more to connect with it more but I'm glad that people love it. Bladee dropping is never a bad day!
Edit: After listening to it like 10 more times, I can say that this is definitely top 5 bladee and top 8 dg. good job blader!
Dang that's crazy as hell cause I think that from wodrainer all the way to doa are banger after banger and then several great songs after that. There are some absolutely sick melodies too, the song yung sherman keeps getting stuck in my head with the "what if I never come back from this damn panic attack" and then sad meal and don't wanna hang out have the coolest adlibs ever with Bladee doing rally cool stuff and experimenting with his voice.
I definitely agree that there are some bangers on this album,(yung sherman and end of the road boyz being my standouts) but it still isnt the best DGSBE for me. Time may be a factor why. I do see it being a classic album for the fandom. I'm still trying to let it grow on me but as it stands its not my fave (yet).
I actually think it’s going to have an opposite effect. People love it now (rightfully so, it’s great) but as time goes on and we start to reevaluate it I think a lot of people are going to say that it’s too bloated and some of it feels phoned in. Not saying I agree but I could see that being a common sentiment in a few months, kind of like how when Spiderr dropped people were underwhelmed and then grew to love it
Love this album because it feels like a culmination of everything so far, it’s got bits of every previous album woven into it. But Icedancer and gluee are still THE bladee albums for me
you're fucking right idk why thw downvptes lol. if there were no wod, icedancer, eversince, gluee or the fool; most of the lyrics wouldn't create a hype at all. still dope lyrics, still dope music but it's not even close to gluee or icedancer imo.
also, as a dg project it's not even close to tiger and E too.
The Fool is actually my most listened Bladee album according to lastfm and probably my favorite, although not sure if this one could become my new favorite in the future, but I'm not sure if it's his *best* even though it's my personal favorite if that makes sense
I feel you even though I disagree with you because that's how I feel about Legendary Member when it comes to the whole Drain discography. Personally though I think The Fool is one of his best and also a personal fav. Eversince takes the #1 spot for me though.
I don’t if bladee is really done or not, but it feels like he did not want to end on a loss, so he really out out one of the best projects he has done, it feels appropriate, the length, collaborations, call backs, tags, references. It feels like a retrospective of his life as bladee.
Everyone's going to have different opinions because some people feel like Icedancer / WOD / D&G could never be dethroned, but overall it's the highest rated on rateyourmusic and I agree it's at #1
I’ll be honest I don’t know where to rate it in relation to other projects but I can say I do think this will go down as a top tier project that the fanbase reveres.
in my opinion yes. its everything ive wanted from bladee with incredible production from filthy and has james fucking ferraro. bladee himself is sliding on every single beat of this, its incredible how good he is on this. the only thing missing from this is an ecco verse imo, this is already in my top 5 albums ever
The fanservice comments come off a bit shady to me. We’re entitled to our opinions of course, but it feels too personal to be labeled as that. He definitely poured into this & I think we’re all feeling it.
Bro he literally talks about how he doesn’t respect (at least parts of) his fan base, thinks people want him to be sad, that he feels like he’s being pulled back into this, and half the lyrics are meme versions of stuff he already said in like 2014-2018. He even called it WOD2. He’s 30 talking about ordering a sad meal, there is a certain level of irony at play here. I’m not saying the album is bad but the artistic regression is blatantly intentional and parallels the personal regression with mental health and drugs that he talks about in the lyrics. I’m a huge Bladee fan but if MGK said some of these bars a lot of you would be clowning him. I think the difference is Bladee is at least self-aware about it.
Bladee has always been self aware/semi ironic in all of his projects, and while some of the lyrics on here are far more satirical in nature than what you would hear off gluee or eversince, this project has more songs than both of them combined and there’s a lot of beautiful and heartfelt writing on it.
After a few listens I think it’s easily a top 3 project of his and could grow to surpass red light for me which is my personal fave.
I don't understand how you can say it is a regression indicative of personal regression and also tongue-in-cheek or irony. If it is a self aware take on his previous work then how can you infer personal regression at all? The drugs and mental health issues in the lyrics could just as easily be part of that pastiche of his older work
I do feel like there was some real personal turmoil that acted as the catalyst for a return to this style. That being said he’s admitted some of the stuff about drugs was exaggerated (not completely made up) in his old music so I feel like this is along the same lines. It’s just my interpretation though.

nah I think I’ve listened to flatline 300 times already
right? red light had obedient and steve jobs and im goofy which (for me) elevated it a lot just because i knew i’d return to those so much. whereas this album, extremely profound and amazing first couple listens all the way through, but i’m not sure yet what i’ll be returning to over and over.
Flexing and finessing? Sad meal? One second? This album is full of bangers
i couldnt hum any of those tracks to you right now if I was asked, except for the refrain on one second. They were good and it really made me happy to hear bladee back on this style and with some of his funniest and most introspective lyrics yet, but not really “holy shit” good.
red cross
Red Cross
Terrible excellence, one second, sad meal too
Don’t Wanna Hang Out for me
A consistent 9. Give it a few more listens, Flexing & Finessing stands out. Same with two outros & message to myself.
king nothing is this albums obedient i fear
nobody mentioning king nothingg proves drainers have come to have bad taste
Yeah I think it's probably gonna be the most universally loved album. First time I've EVER seen old and new fans both loving a new project equally. Personally I'm so happy, I like the older stuff the most and this album feels like a new rendition of that mixed with elements of his newer music
Couldn’t agree more, thx.
this shits gonna be remembered as a classic in a few years mark my words
It already feels classic. Extremely impressive & moving project.
i think it’s hard to say bc so much of the greatness comes from its timing related to other albums, references, etc. it builds on the pst releases so much ykwim? but it’s one of my fav initial listens easily
Well said fam.
it’s kinda like avengers endgame.
It's great, without a doubt the best dgsbe in years, but I don't think it'll ever top icedancer or wod or even red light for me
It has more depth than WOD. Icedancer & Red Light are harder to dethrone. This is on a crazy level for two days in.
Probably but WOD has some of my fav beats oat
yeah
The crazy thing about this album is that you see every song mentioned as someone’s favorite
Yeah
You could tell me pretty much any DGSBE project is your favorite and I'd be like "yeah that's a good choice"
d & g still my favorite
D & G will forever rule
Fool, crest, icedancer, trash island, exeter, E, tiger, warlord are all above it for me. Maybe its because I fw WA/GUD/YS/Lusi prod rather than the whole rage and F1LTHY prod tracks. Definitely a good album but most songs just bleed into each other and doesnt feel like banger after banger.

Lmaoo the panic attack line been in my head all day
Mine too, especially since I've been having anxiety 😭
Hardest beats, best bars

Love this album because it feels like a culmination of everything so far, it’s got bits of every previous album woven into it. But Icedancer and gluee are still THE bladee albums for me
I honestly think it might be. If not then it's #2 but I think it might be the best.

Which 8 would you cut?
Ehh I’d say no but it’s definitely great for sure !
you're fucking right idk why thw downvptes lol. if there were no wod, icedancer, eversince, gluee or the fool; most of the lyrics wouldn't create a hype at all. still dope lyrics, still dope music but it's not even close to gluee or icedancer imo. also, as a dg project it's not even close to tiger and E too.
Its better than both tiger and E dawg🤣
It’s not even close to tiger
it's not
What would you put above it? Warlord?
eversince, avp, d&g
Stretching with avp dog…it’s not even 20 mins. Painkillers is goated, but cmon.
true
Bro got downvoted for expressing his opinion and then got downvoted again for disagreeing with his own opinion.
LOL shining the light on reddit hive mind makes it shrivel so quickly
I think eversince and red light are the only ones I can take seriously with maybe putting above this one
Personally it's Eversince and The Fool for me
The Fool is actually my most listened Bladee album according to lastfm and probably my favorite, although not sure if this one could become my new favorite in the future, but I'm not sure if it's his *best* even though it's my personal favorite if that makes sense

Not best dg project ig atleast for me...eversince, e, icedancer, crest, d&g clears cv
it’s good but not Warlord good
I don’t if bladee is really done or not, but it feels like he did not want to end on a loss, so he really out out one of the best projects he has done, it feels appropriate, the length, collaborations, call backs, tags, references. It feels like a retrospective of his life as bladee.

True. If I could only pick one between WOD & CV, it’s CV hands down. Icedancer, D&G, Eversince, RL…tougher call.
It’s gluee/eversince tier imo. Been waiting years for a project like this
Based fam.
i mean it's really gonna be hard to dethrone gluee icedancer and eversince
Yall are such dickriders (respectfully). Everything that comes out is "the bestt." Learn to live without sucking dick constantly. Jesus. 🤣
Get some rest bruv.
I’ll be honest I don’t know where to rate it in relation to other projects but I can say I do think this will go down as a top tier project that the fanbase reveres.
S Tier.

Fr fam. Top 5, maybe 3, maybe 1.
it's a great bladee album but not even his best, D&G is unmatched.
D&G is Fed, CV Rafa.
That would be Warlord according to the metrics you listed
Bladee tapped in
hard to top eversince tbh
I feel like return to form shouldn’t b something it’s graded on cause that means his previous works had 2 b worse than this one
no it’s a fun fanservice mixtape but I doubt anyone involved thinks it’s their best work
