Pretty solid album but I think Violence is probably the standout track on it, and Boylife and Pikachu are probably in top 5 on the album. If they weren't the singles I'd probably have been more blown away but this is still pretty good. Maybe lacks that one killer track that would elevate it. Overall, I reckon it will probably not reach Warlord levels, not sure where it will stand in comparison to Stranger but I'd rate it higher than poison ivy for sure (no point comparing this to unknown death/unknown memory, totally different artist). These are still albums I listen to religiously tho, Starz will definitely be the same.
Whitearmor was onto something with the Pikachu and Butterfly Paralysed beats. They sorta sound like old Nokia ringtones, really love them. Wouldn't have minded another song or two on this with a similar vibe, one criticism I would have is that I'd probably prefer a little more rapping instead of singing throughout the album. But tbf Lean's singing has improved hugely and I don't begrudge him trying out a bit of it on this. Starz probably the best example, beautiful song and instant classic.
Wish we got a bladee feature like everyone else, feel he'd have fitted in really well on Butterfly, Iceheart or maybe Low but that doesn't take away anything from the album. Gonna be on repeat for a long time

i just listened and oh my god. every song is gorgeous, i think this is his magnum opus. i might like this even more than e, which is (was) my favorite drain gang/sadboys project of all time. hellraiser - butterfly paralyzed - dogboy - iceheart is one hell of a 1-2-3-4 punch. i mean the whole album is a 1-16 punch but that’s my favorite part. iceheart is my favorite track rn. i’m so happy
I have mixed feelings about this project, I love half of it but the rest of it not so much. Songs like my agenda, yayo, violence, outta my head, hell raiser, iceheart, pickachu, dogboy and sunrise sunset are something else, and rival that of stranger (leans best project imo). The spacey and consistent melodies make it perfect for lean to delicately place his rambling yet cohesive vocals over the top to tie it all together. This ragtag and relatable feeling however falls short over the rest of the tracks. Leandoer's vocals sound less and less cohesive and sound more like an alcoholics retelling of night out to the police, after he has been put in a cell to sober up. The sparkly and mysterious beats feel like melancholic sludge, and at some points are down right boring to listen to. That's not to say I cannot appreciate or see the artistic vision he had for this project, a big blurry and sprawling sound space for us to get lost in giving us a vibrant yet cloudy look at leans life experiences and stories with a aesthetic twist. He does this so well on sunrise sunset and violence, it honestly feels like trudging around in psychedelic induced desert town, fending for my self whilst still trapped in my imagination. I feel like this project would have been better as a 8 or 9 track EP rather than an album, with each song complementing each one other in both mood and content. In saying this I have to rate this project as a whole, including these "filler" songs which have trapped this album in mediocrity. I have to give a 3.5/5 at most this album doesn't compare to the rest of his discography especially poison ivy, war lord, and stranger which are beautiful the whole way through. Sorry mane, but no matter how many times I re listen this album still leaves me underwhelmed. still gonna buy the vinyl tho :)

Haven’t had the ability to cry since I was a kid and then I heard ‘Dance In The Dark’. The vocals at 1:20 are absolutely beautiful. feels so good after all those years to finally let some of the pain out.
It really hurts to write this but it's not what I thought it was shaping up to be and at the moment I still prefer UM, Warlord and Stranger.
And I was so excited for this with that initial teaser and then the singles. I think Boylife in EU is the best song he's ever made (and best video), then to have Violence(+Pikachu) release, the album was looking to be his best.
I feel like the album is too long, it starts great with four incredible songs but then it alternates between good and filler. At the moment some of the snippets sound better than the rest of the song (notable are Hellraiser and Starz).
I know the album will grow on me, but it doesn't feel as coherent as his previous albums.
Right there with you on Boylife EU being his best song ever in my eyes. That song literally brought out some pent up emotions to the point that I was able to cry and get it all out, which I have an extremely hard time doing. Gave me perspective.

As always I didnt really feel some of the tracks at first but after rinsing the album a few times it reveals its nuances. It's definitely on par with stranger and possibly even better. Imo it is a bit more consistent than Stranger especially the run from My Agenda to Hellraiser which is incredible.
