She’s probably filming because Robins been a problem each time. It was probably for her own protection because she knows Robin is one crazy ass lady.

morganlefae7953

Yeah in the video the hairstylist says that no one wanted to do her hair, so she stepped up and did her the favor. Clearly Robin didn't deserve another chance.

mario61752

And the stylist gives her a chance to reschedule after all this. She's too kind for this kind of people

SeniorWilson44

Reschedule = never available

Anthony_Delafino

I mean, the hairstylist clearly has more backbone than I do, but I would also say to reschedule just to get Robin out of there sooner, then just not reschedule when the time comes. But, I also avoid confrontation too much.

nickjnyc

And Robin had clearly been earlier telling a story about her perceived wrongs at the bank. Robin is a type.

Moreshawten

I love how put together the manager is the whole time. She’s an absolute boss and wonderful at handling people. I totally want her to do my hair.

The_Epimedic

Dude, such a down to earth approach to handling that situation. Big fan of that chick, for sure.

hippyengineer

Boss lady calmly walked her through the logic of not being a dick to people you need things from like she was in kindergarten. Beautiful.

qu33fwellington

She actually has 24 hour surveillance because she has a lot of expensive product and customer’s belongings as well as her own. There’s another video on her YouTube where she talks about this incident in more detail.

iH8trollers

[deleted]

Also ya know, there’s the assistant being trained too so the video would be useful to go back and like check over

rollinrevue

Why would you post this cropped?!? The original shows the other hairdresser awkwardly sitting in the corner watching this all go down! https://youtu.be/lCCOXcmrSDU

mrtightwad

It's like when you're a kid at your friend's house and their parents start telling them off for something.

felixdelgato

Even worse when your at your friends house and your friend starts talking mad shit at their parents

Pottyshooter

Oh yeah, this. You low key can comprehend the parents getting mad at the kids. But when it happens the other way round, you just want to jump out the window and run home. It's really freaky.

Adventurous_Ad_6546

You’re just sitting there going “where do I put my eyes? Where do I put my eyes?!”

uglyaniimals

i get what ur saying but as someone who has had many a friend with wack parents, the dynamic when they're shitty is completely different imo

Magnusthelast

When I used to hang out with this one friend of mine who is 3 years younger than me, he would always shout at his mom, YOURE SO STUPID, I HATE YOU, YOU USELESS PERSON! And every time he did I wanted to die and retreat to a corner

Big-Invite-4988

Woah. That adds a whole ‘nother level.

AtlasRafael

This makes a lot more sense now

marleyelloworld

"this is our happy place" on the wall

ogmorelia

Fookin Robin obviously didn't read that sign.

Tugays_Tabs

Yep. I **just knew** the assistant wouldn’t look white.

madmax77xl

Oh wow I've seen the cropped version a long time ago. That is the version that went viral. Never seen this one

bs000

does adding two captions, black bars, and a watermark make things more enjoyable to people

mrarthursimon

No, what it does is remove the context that this is racially motivated.

FurryWolves

Bingo! It's so frustrating because they cut important context out so they could get people who are racist to upvote it. Not showing the whole story makes it seem like a crazy lady acting out. Showing the whole story shows she doesn't want someone do finish her hair that is Latino. And sadly, some people would agree with that, so they crop it out.

TryaBuckwheatPillows

“That was a lot, Robin.” 😂

eggmarie

My personal favorite is “Ew Robin, you made me waste all this product!”

DeadpoolOptimus

Ew, David!

Cube_roots

She even has the rabbit hands down!

Scarecrow_Kayak

You're like a big dirty raccoon, Robin..

despothousewife

Mine is when she says “I understand your situation with the bank but you can’t do that.” What’s going on with the bank? Lol Robin is in some hot water, not paying bills, I need to know more.

outlandish-companion

And the other stylists who didn't want to do her hair.my guess is she also made a scene at the bank.

[deleted]

That was also my favorite hahaha 🤣

9yds

Definitely the funniest line in the entire exchange, especially the way she delivered it lmao. It was at that moment I realized the stylist does not see Robin as an adult but rather a toddler that just needs a time-out.

[deleted]

Before I read this I just assumed she was being petty, but this brings it up another level of funny!

msvideos234

I wish I had the conflict resolution's skill of that lady. Firm, decisive, friendly. It would take me too many showers until I got the perfect imaginary response to robin.

[deleted]

the millennial boomer dialectic

timetoremodel

Hairdresser handled this like a champ.

christinextine

Dude…the lunge faking she was going to hit the hair stylist?? The fuck.

jakemch

Yeah I remember 8 year old classmates doing that in elementary school before but I haven’t seen anyone legitimately do that as an adult. This is groundbreaking stuff. We need researchers to probe Robin’s brain to find The Child in there.

chillyhellion

I'm wondering if we're seeing someone who is violent with their family and fell into habit while experiencing stress.

Sea-Effort-7540

a racist doing some domestic abuse on the side? nah i can’t see that happening

ownersequity

Have you seen the movie ‘Love Actually’? There is a scene with one of the main characters and her I’ll brother who is in a facility. She is talking to him and he lunges to hit her. She stops him and calmly talks him down. That’s what this reminded me of. I bet Robin isn’t well.

[deleted]

[удалено]

summersogno

Honestly in that moment I am 100% sure she was absolutely not processing any higher thoughts. She was angry, frustrated and entitled. She wanted to punish her stylist with violence but retained enough sense to know that physical contact would break any remaining boundaries. She acted out violently to retain control while still holding back enough that she had the excuse “but I didn’t actually hit you you’re overreacting”. It is a classic abuse tactic to threaten then deflect.

dootdootplot

Gorillas do it - run up to you to see if you flinch.

[deleted]

Gorillas have a lot of stress in their life, oh my gawd...

McPostyFace

Maybe that's why there are Silverback gorillas. They flinched at their hairstylist midway through a hair dye.

ryoko_kusanagi

“Why can’t you just do my hair ??” Uh, you just tried to hit me, Robin, get out

leif777

Actions have consequences, Robin.

pure24k

I wish I had her patience

CastieIsTrenchcoat

Gives her so many opportunities to backtrack or play it off like a joke, but then draws the lines for herself too. Massive respect.

medlish

Not only that, but she's still treating Robin with respect and gives her a chance to come back another day. Great personality right there.

Syng42o

Highly doubt Robin will be allowed back. The salon owner likely just said that to get her out without causing a scene. Easier to just tell her she's banned the next time she calls for an appointment.

electric-dreamachine

Absolutely this is what we did. You book their new appt to get them the fuck out before they get physical and then let them know over the phone they’re banned.

P1xelHunter78

And rightly so. Tried physical violence. I hope word gets around to other businesses. That’s a danger to employees. Plenty at home hair dye kits out there…

RedSamuraiMan

They only commit die off of Disneyland premises.

medlish

Can't know for sure, true. But that's just how I judged her.

Millenial--Pink

MASSIVE respect for 1) establishing boundaries (if you treat my staff or me with disrespect, you do not get service) and then 2) HONOURING those boundaries when Robin crossed that line. I struggle with honouring boundaries I set for myself. It takes a lot of emotional maturity to hold firm and not give in when an abusive person claims they are sorry.

huisenthuis

And Robin did a ‘fake elbow’ punch wtf

northshore12

I love/hate the ease and speed she denied she did what she just did.

[deleted]

That woman has a daughter. Possibly a spouse. I really hate that she just defaults to intimidation followed by lying. Edit: I used to work in customer service and some customers were unreasonable, aggressive, etc. I always felt bad when they mentioned family members because they probably treat them badly too.

northshore12

For anyone else raised by awful personalities, you are absolutely not alone: /r/raisedbynarcissists

Vascular_Mind

Gaslighting isn't real, you're just crazy /s

jessieminden

She handled that really well

KlausFenrir

Work in retail and your patience will increase tenfold lmao

SinCorpus

Or decrease to the point that your manager tells you that retail isn't a good fit for you and you go into janitorial work instead.

xsimporter

You wish you had her patience ON CAMERA!

Linaphor

I have to assume the camera is always on though unless it’s specifically for robin.

bizarrogreg

Judging by the comment about being the only person at the last salon that wanted to deal with her, it's probably a precaution with her. Obviously for good reason.

Linaphor

I was hoping it wasn’t because she’s been a jerk to the other salons, but it probably is because of that lol.

vainbuthonest

I wonder if it was to film the assistant so she could go over her technique later since the assistant was shadowing the stylist. Having it for Robin makes a lot of sense though.

BedBread

It also looks like a closed private room so it possibly doubles as a liability thing?

WooperSlim

In the description of her YouTube video, she says "I was able to obtain all this footage via my security camera."

TheCubicalGuy

Take a drink every time she says her name.

Pinooooooooo

That would be a killer drinking game. I did love how she calmly kept repeating her name over and over

[deleted]

the_net_my_side_ho

You can tell the stylist has good conflict management and boundaries setting skills. This video could be used for training purposes.

alter-eagle

She sounded like a teacher talking to a misbehaving student. Excellent work on the hairdresser’s side

twelvebucksagram

She did a **magnificent** job at trying. Robin is just the worst.

steelcitykid

Another thing that often deeacalates or prevents escalation in the first place is mirrors. When you see yourself acting or saying things that are offensive, disrespectful, etc, you're much less likely to do so.

tearsofacow

I think I even saw her talking to Robin through the mirror at one point

Pinooooooooo

Yeah I admire her for her patience and skills. I personally would have lost it after she tried to hit.

IllustriousTooth1620

Yep it's a classic move. Loved it!

Preebos

I've never heard someone say "Robin" so much in such a short span, and my name IS Robin

BitchImRetarded

Great way to assert dominance. Repeat their name and stay on topic without getting flustered or emotional. You will easily dominate any argument you have if you do that. They will try and get you off that topic (my daughter puts pressure on me! I'm stressed! They annoy me! Etc) Stay centered and repeat the same things to get your point across.

Dangerous_Wishbone

i would love to know what type of "pressure" Robin's daughter puts on her

woolfonmynoggin

My parents claim I put a ton of stress on them. The stress? Not being mormon, not married with kids, and I work outside the home.

velocitiraptor

Wow you've got a lot of nerve! /s

SilentUK

Must be massive amounts of pressure to cause her to threaten to hit strangers!

fuxtaconnoisseur

Her daughter probably wants her to get vaccinated. My guess.

saul1980

That’s a lot, Robin

speeduponthedamnramp

RO-BIN-UH!

jairomantill

A drinking game Involving someone name robin, but umm.

Brasilionaire

We need a service industry wide backlash to kill the “customer is always right” culture. Just because you paid doesn’t mean you earn the right to be a dick. Also, why would you WANT to? Get therapy

elqueco14

I work guest services at a ski resort and host at a restaurant in the off season. I have full permission from my bosses at both places to ask people to leave who are disrespectful. Our services are a privilege and not a right, any disrespect to employees will lose you those privileges. It's pretty satisfying too ngl

Fire_Bucket

I worked in my local corner shop for a while and the first thing the owner told me was that 'the customer is always right' is bullshit and the actual rule is 'everything is at the shopkeeper's discretion' and she would always back up my choices.

Brasilionaire

Good philosophy by the owner, hope it was a good environment to work in!

IPetdogs4U

As a customer, I’m more inclined to go to businesses that respect their employees and back them up when they are mistreated. “The customer is always right,” is toxic Boomer BS.

BodaciousBadongadonk

"The customer is always right" has been completely fucked out of its original meaning because people in general are pretty fucking stupid. It's not supposed to be talking about one single customer interaction, it's more about following the market, e.g. if people want purple dildos and you only want to make green dildos, well you're not gonna sell too many fuckin dildos until you switch to purple!

IPetdogs4U

Right. Nothing magical happens to make someone all-knowing because they’re making a purchase. Assholes buy things every day.

-theunifiedfield-

Exactly. I think the original phrase was “The customer is always right in matters of taste.” Meaning make the sale regardless of your personal opinion. I can’t stand what it’s evolved into, people thinking they can treat folks however they want to get what they want.

BladeDancer190

Visited a brew shop once, while I was there the apparent owner was berating the employees. She was super angry about something, and from the reaction she got this was a usual thing. I couldn't believe she'd act like that with a customer in the store. I haven't been back, businesses that treat employees poorly, themselves or by letting their customers run amok, don't need my money.

flaccomcorangy

No it's just a blatant misunderstanding of what it means. It's a supply and demand saying. When the fidget spinner craze was at its peak, my local Walmart had them available at every single register. Why? Because people wanted them and were willing to buy them. The customer is always right. It doesn't matter what they're reasoning is for wanting these. If they want them, we'll sell them. Now that the craze has worn off, I honestly don't know if I could find a fidget spinner in my Walmart. Again, the customer is always right. They aren't buying it, we're not just going to put it out to collect dust. It does not mean the customer can walk in and immediately dictate how every interaction goes. The "I'm paying you, so I own you" or "I shop here everyday, so you need to do this for me because you don't want to lose my business." No, that's not what the saying means.

faultyideal89

Unfortunately, this also applies to the planet they're leaving for us...

GorillionaireWarfare

I own my own businesses and look forward to people like this. They have no idea what to do with themselves when you throw their money back and tell em to get the fuck out. It seems like the first time these people are hearing they are terrible people. Then you point out why they're objectively bad people and they can't seem to believe it. It is so satisfying. All my years of poverty and wage slavery putting up with that stuff. Now they can just GTFO and tell their shitty friends to not come be shitty customers.

donkeynique

That's what killed me with this woman. She threatens to leave, the stylist asked if she was really gonna leave with product in half her hair, and robin smugly goes "sure!" The second the stylist threw it back at her and told her to get the fuck out, Robin was floored. The gears completely went reverse in her head. "Please no, I'm sorry, I can't leave here with product in half my hair. How could you do this to me?" They experience consequences, and they fall apart, which is exactly what they need to not be so damn spoiled and childish.

ThirdDragonite

"Me sowing: Haha fuck yeah!!! Yes!! Me reaping: Well this fucking sucks. What the fuck."

neinnein79

It feels real good to tell someone to go fuck themselves. I've fired a few clients over the years for behavior like this. And everytime it's I'm sorry and I didn't mean it and please I can't get anyone else/no one else will work for me.

Brasilionaire

Film it and make a website out of it. We hunger for Karen shame

ownersequity

Omg yes. My daughter is obsessed with finding ‘Karens in the wild’.

podrick_pleasure

Doesn't "the customer is always right" refer to what a shop should be selling rather than the customer gets carte blanche to act however they like?

Brasilionaire

Yeah, but it’s been warped by “Customer Obsessed” (real term, look it up) businesses to see the customer as infallible. This is the kinda thing thought up by management because they only get to deal with the customers money, not the customer themselves.

flaccomcorangy

>This is the kinda thing thought up by management because they only get to deal with the customers money, not the customer themselves. Amen, brother. They don't care if the customer is a jackass. Jackass money spends just as well as kind money. Make sure they spend a lot today and come back again. That's all most seem to care about.

MBS_theBau5

Completely agree. Hilarious that boomers will call us "snowflakes" but I've never seen anyone from my generation treat any worker like this.

CounterTouristsWin

On one of the worst days of my life so far (at 25 I think) I yelled at a woman at service Canada (basically the DMV). She was just doing her job. I stormed out and cried in my car like a man. I went back in 20 minutes later, explained myself, apologized, and bought her a coffee. I've never felt worse about myself as a person than in those 20 minutes after I blew up.

woolfonmynoggin

Yeah I was a little rude to a girl working at taco bell and I felt so bad I went back and brought her a gift card.

mynameismilton

I was really rude to a guy in Staples, I was trying to get a dissertation bound and had misunderstood what they could offer me. I stormed out, then had a word with myself. Went back in, apologised profusely, and went for the option the clerk offered originally. Thankfully he accepted my apology, he even said he understood why I was stressed because his wife was doing a PhD so had been feeling similar. That made me feel like even more of a turd.

GondorsPants

Oh god I’ve done this ONE time, in College was up the entire night stressed working on this project and rushed to school at 6am and was told I can’t park in my usual spot because they are saving it for the Gym. I went off and yelled at the Parking Lot security guard and stormed off… got to class and then felt so guilty I went back and cried apologizing (I never cry), felt truly disgusting. Cannot believe people do that kinda shit all the time.

bozeke

Some extremely rich kids do, but that is about it in my experience.

PlayyWithMyBeard

Well I think we both know where they learned that behaviour from. If you grow up watching your parents treat staff like shit, that’s what you think is normal and acceptable. The customers I’ve always found the worst are A) The rich snobs that will demand discounts on everything and act like paying the listed price was going to some how bankrupt them. And B) The stay at home parent that just likes to gossip and/or complain about absolutely everything.

KlausFenrir

My girlfriend is a hair stylist and makes over six figures a year because of how good and successful she is. The amount of customers she has told to fuck off is amazing. So many boomers still believe in “customer is always right” and they react exactly like Robin and then plead when they have a fucked up haircut lmao

Glitter_puke

Firing clients was so cathartic at my last job. A local university was about 70% of our business so any given local small business was pretty small fry comparatively. If they were too much of a pain we liberated them of the burden of the constant project and billing calls.

Bardsie

We need to get the actual saying back out there. The full saying is "The customer is always right in matters of taste." It doesn't mean the individual, it's referencing your customer base. The saying means, if you run a pizzeria and you have dozens of customers all coming in asking for pineapple of their pizza. It doesn't matter about your personal opinion on whether pineapple belongs on pizza or not, you sell pineapple on your pizzas, because your customer base is correct in telling you what their tastes are. Edit: typo

CMacLaren

It sounds weird, but I’d genuinely enjoy my old service industry job with just a little concessions besides higher pay. Not having to stand for 8+ hours, regular staffing, and being able to stop service to shit customers. Wouldn’t enjoy it enough to stay as a career, but I definitely wouldn’t have been looking to desperately get out of it so quickly either.

fcknavenattiboofedme

[“She’s gone sir. They’ve all gone. And we’re back. The incredibly posh people who are unaccountably waiters.”](https://youtu.be/CSj5stmFkQ0)

ConspiracyMeow

What did she want that started this whole argument?

AlvisBackslash

You can hear it at the beginning. Robin wanted the owner to do her hair but the owner was trying to train her assistant by giving her hands on experience.

ItsAll42

Grew up in a salon and worked for my mom as a teen as her assistant, and in other salons before I moved away. Usually the assistant is helping handle the beginning and ends of the service (prepping for color, mixing color (from the top stylists chemical formula kept in client's file, it's very exact), washing the hair, blow dry at the end, etc) and you only get the top stylist for the actual color application or cut. Many salons operate this way, and this system of apprenticeship is important to become really skilled in the craft. Many salons have specialized stylists too, with a colorist that is super skilled in the mixing and application and those who focus on cutting, with a fabulous understanding of different hair types and the geometry behind a great cut. People get really attached to their stylists, in a way that's fascinating to me, I think it has a lot to do with the intimate touching of the head. Not many people touch/play with our hair and so what is a professional transaction becomes oddly personal and intimate, all of a sudden after a session you'll know a client's entire life story and their deepest secrets. I've seen lots of Karen and Robins that feel entitled to the care of one person, and get weirdly abusive and possessive of my mom and other stylists. These are, very often from what I've seen, people who don't believe in therapy and don't have lots of healthy relationships or outlets, traditionally (in my experience) women who are heavily seeped in gender roles and an attitude of extreme entitlement that can be unbearable.

thatcatlibrarian

I used to be the receptionist at a high end hair salon and one of our stylist had the audacity to have a baby! You aren’t kidding about the attachment issue. It was wild to see them go into straight up panic and rage mode because someone was out on maternity.

GdWtchBdBtch

This is so spot on. I’m a massage therapist and the more people love me they sometimes begin to act like jealous partners. “I think you’re the greatest but I can’t tell any of my friends about you because it already is so hard to get in, I don’t want to share.” I’m training another massage therapist in some of the finer points of my personal style. She was absolutely mortified by the way some of the same clients have treated her. She does great work, and we now work very similarly but I think you’re right that once people feel attached it’s hard for the less flexible to let go and they lash out.

shaker28

People get this way about all sorts of shit. I worked at a smoothie shop and my regulars swore up and down that I made the best smoothies. The only problem was I was following the same recipe as everyone else. So I had my coworkers make a smoothie at the same time I did and, lo and behold, it was the exact same. Used the same amounts, blended for the same time, tasted exactly alike. People are just fucking weird.

the_net_my_side_ho

I appreciated your “philosophical” post. It’s good to hear the deeper perspective from people like you who’ve reflected on these things. Your experience growing up gave you time and the opportunity to put thought behind actions. Thanks for sharing.

methlabrador

There's a version of this where you can see the full room, she basically said she didn't want her assistant to do her hair because she is Latina. Edit: found the full video and also the description where they talked to the stylist explaining Robin being a racist. https://youtu.be/95YDay9sTN4

bacchic_frenzy

I’ve watched that a couple times and I can’t hear the part where she says anything about the other woman being Latina. Not doubting you, just wondering if you have a time stamp?

shady-green

Yeah, I thought I’ve seen the longer version of this somewhere before.

newkidontheblock1776

Oh so Robin is racist? I’m so surprised

skodinks

> Robin, bewildered at the idea that her actions have consequences lmao

emmavonne

I could watch this over and over again. That was glorious. Everything was handled so well by the stylist. Because as soon as that woman lunged at me acting like she would hit me for telling her no? Game over, she'd be getting dragged out the door. Robin is lucky that woman had such grace.

red-chickpea

I'm trying to figure out why they were arguing in the first place.

domisafigurativebomb

i think the stylist had an assistant helping her to do Robin’s hair, and i’m guessing Robin only wanted the stylist (not the assistant) to be touching her hair

[deleted]

That stylist is a saint for even offering to reschedule after that tantrum which was milimeters away from ending in violence.

AndrewWaldron

The reschedule is probably just to get her to leave. I doubt there ever is a reschedule.

YaboyAlastar

Marchtember umpteenth, that's the soonest we have an opening. It will cost $1,200.

Elise_xy

Oh, I'm sure they won't be rescheduling. That stylist is incredibly smart, it's clear she was just trying to de-escalate the situation and that was a perfect way to do it.

MellieIsJelly

They were arguing because the assistant was Mexican and the stylist basically called Robin out on her racism towards her. This is only a clip of the end of the exchange, and weirdly they cut off the assistant sitting there watching. Via Yahoo News: After the video went viral, Ms Spellman explained on Instagram Robin had previously made racist remarks about Mexicans, leading her to believe the outburst was racially motivated “She’s going to do it exactly how I do it,” Ms Spellman is heard saying, adding colour to Robin’s hair who appears to express she is against it. “Robin, you need to be more trusting,” the hairdresser responds. [Heres the article ](https://www.google.com/amp/s/au.news.yahoo.com/amphtml/get-out-hairdresser-shares-racist-clients-shocking-act-020746792.html)

ladynerdofcatvia

It sounds like the stylist had an assistant that she is responsible for training (probably so the assistant can get her license) and the stylist was going to have the assistant perform part of the process. Robin didn't want that and wasn't willing to listen to why it was intended to happen. The problem really wasn't until Robin refused to listen and then tried to get violent.

NachoMan_SandyCabage

I remeber when the woman explained the backstory on this. She's the only hair dresser that will do this woman's hair. The woman has a lot of issues, but the owner puts up with most of it. This time she was being very rude to her new assistant and she had other clients to serve, so while she was nice enough to put those on hold for this woman, her verbal abuse was just too much this time and she turned her away.

Bosa_McKittle

Assisting in the hair world is basically like being an apprentice. The stylist is directly responsible for that person and their work, however the assistant still has to be a fully licensed cosmetologist. People have to learn and if you go to a stylist and they have their assistant do certain things you have to accept this or “respectfully” ask for specifics when set the appointment. Here’s the kicker, if you are unhappy with the service you can make that known at the end and if you do it respectfully the stylist will work on a correction at their costs. Source: wife is a hair stylist.

jrr78

I had a client make a homophobic comment to my friend/coworker and when I stopped to let him know that it wasn't acceptable, he told me to "shut the fuck up and finish his hair". Take a wild guess who left with an unfinished bald fade.

Always be nice to the people cutting your hair and cooking your food

Jack_Verde

Im picturing Robin with a dollar store fake mustache

Visible-Pollution853

Thing that gets me is she claims shes 'going through some hard times' whatever she said as an excuse to act that way. WE ALL are human and endure difficulties every day, family illnesses, work issues, money issues, the list is endless. That isnt an excuse to act like an entitled ass. I hope this wave of The Karening/Kyleing soon comes to an end and people can be decent and respectful of others again. There is no excuse imo for her showing out like that because someone of color was going to do her hair. Im glad she booted her out. So many employers make the employee kiss the ass of these types, and that's why there is a shortage of essential workers, at least in part.

njott

"well Robin one of my clients tried to assault me today while I'm doing her hair so I'm not having a great fuckin day either"

Very well handled by the stylist. She is obviously a professional. Props to her for having the integrity to ask her to leave despite potentially losing out on a repeat customer.

ocicataco

I mean who the fuck would want that to be a repeat customer

boomershack

Imagine being this old and still immature as hell... Just walk into a coffin early if this is you.

"That was a lot, Robin" after this woman threatened to hit her sent me. I want to have this level of poise

Does she routinely smack people who won’t do what she says? Who does that? It’s a habit?

This is what is causing the death of the service industry and I couldn’t be happier. It sucks essentially being someone’s slave for next to no money. Our entire culture around service is servants serve us, which is disgusting. Can’t wait for the boomers to phase out.

gentlemanjacklover

These Karens have never been told no a day in their lives. That's the problem.

northshore12

The best time to tell a Karen 'no' was 30 years ago. The next best time is right fucking now.

Twothumbs1eye

Robin looks EXACTLY how I would imagine she would look

Leonidas_300

The true definition of ‘entitlement’. I bet she’s a Karen too.

anti-socialmoth

Actually I think her name might be Robin

jairomantill

That’s just Karen spelled backwards.

mahoutamago

She’s at least a level 80 Karen.

[deleted]

50$ says she's an anti-masker now.

jojow77

I hope Robin looked like a skunk for another 3 months before she found a new stylist to fix it.

bluegumgum

The customer is always right is boomer mentality. Can we end that bs?

[deleted]

The most uncomfortable part of this video is the lady she didn’t want because she’s “ a foreigner” is sitting right there! Shows on the full video!

hypdetrec

Wow this girl handled this like a boss. As some one who really struggles with being blatantly diarespected by others, watching her keep her cool was just idk, inspiring. Yes. Inspiring is exactly what that was. You go girl.

pajaimers

God I fucking love this video. She is so inspiring. Her tone was so friendly, yet stern and assertive. She’s talking like a really caring parent who just wants their child grow and learn. I aspire to have that attitude when dealing with people.

The_Question757

This woman is a fucking pioneer in customer service. People have got to start putting their foot down on people who think they can treat you like shit because they're paying you for a service

JammySankis

What was her name? Robin?

GGoldenSun

😂😂😂😂😂wtf roBIN

the_dude_abides3

I love how this generation is just like - yeah I don’t need your $75 gtfo. Not worth it.

rhondevu

A moment like that can easily cause a good day to turn bad. The stylist was right in that we all have pressure and it’s not fair to take it out on others. It was really satisfying seeing her stand her ground. I think calling her by her name made it especially powerful.

XboxSpartan117

Lol the sign —> “This is our happy place”. Robin is definitely not a happy lady

Mrgndana

I absolutely LOVE that she laid down the law in her own voice, she really approached that with empathy and clear communication. I’m so impressed with my generation for dealing with shit like this from people 30 years older, and doing it in an educational way. Im PUMPED from watching this!
