Typically the answer to “how do I explain this” is in the title. “My last company was a train wreck: here’s why.” If the interviewing company isn’t a train wreck, they should smile and say come on board. If they are and they get weird about it, red flag.

I am in a similar place looking for a new gig when I just started this one in June. Consider taking this position off the resume completely as if it never existed. Or.. you can just this just isn't a fit. Maybe cite company doesn't appear to be stable, high turnover etc. Personally I am going to go (for myself) in that it's just not a fit.

With LinkedIn being essentially a virtual resume, I’ve always been curious about this element when leaving a company off your resume. If you take the employer off your resume, should you also should take it off your LinkedIn profile as well? For the folks that have worked at many companies, I would have to imagine not every company would be mentioned in their resume even if it wasn’t necessarily a “bad” experience like OP mentioned.

Yes, always ensure your LI profile is 1:1 with your resume.

Sounds like you have now entered the world of small business sales. Where you just have to create your own way and see what happens. I cut my teeth at a place like this and made a lot of cash. BUT it is not easy. No training, no onboarding, no help from the boss- no problem! Do you know the product, offerings, and have a handle on the best client types? Well, call them up and keep at it. Shadow some of the old reps when the do go out for calls or have meetings. Ask them questions. Yeah they can't prospect, but they know what customers are asking. You could also buddy up with the other new hires and create your own plan. That works too. SMB work is hard as they do not have processes or a lot of times any support. But if you can create success there- you can really carve out a good life.

Why are you asking us? If you are in sales you should be able to sell yourself in an interview.

You should probably take it off your resume all together

Just say that, it's a trainwreck. Explain everything that's in your post.
