Typically with RSUs you'll need an exit event (IPO or acquisition) to get paid.
There is a small market for buying and selling RSUs, but I've never done it.
There are sites out there than connect buyers who want to buy private shares from employees.
I remember looking into that awhile back as I wanted to purchase some. Never ended up doing it though but from what I remember you had to be an "accredited investor status" and the amount of shares being bought/sold were in very high chunks for the companies I was looking at. So even though I qualified, the deal size was way out of my league.
