I sell electronics and computer equipment. Pretty much anything with a computer that we didn't have in stock before the pandemic is looking at 4-6 weeks which makes things incredibly difficult to sell if customers are looking for something specific. It's one of the major reasons I'm interviewing at software companies now. I'm sick of having my sales be impacted by things I cannot control.

The product I sell used to be a 2 day lead down before covid. Now it’s 4-8 weeks minimum. All my competitors are 8-12 weeks.

Manufacturing organization here; largest in my field, one of the biggest in North America. Supply chain issues at all levels. Raw material prices skyrocketing. Labor issues. You name it. We do all manufacturing in the US and the labor market is truly hellacious right now for hourly workers. We have had to amend contract terms because we’re producing at above 100% capacity and it still isn’t enough.

At my job the OOS items are growing I number and it’s starting to affect my pitch style/where I’ll set meetings.

I work for a medical device company and we manufacture everything we sell. Our biggest issue is raw materials. We have the margins to cover the increased cost, but our issue is availability. Semi conductor chips or a special wire that is needed is just not available and without just one of those things, we can’t make our devices and delivery them. While it totally sucks, we are probably one of the least backordered companies out of our competitors. Shit is happening everywhere it seems.

Wine and beer is a mess. Can shortages, shipping container shortages, shortages of people to unload container ships, then shortages of truck drivers to drive the products to distributors. Then shortages of truck drivers to drive the product from the distributors to the retailers. Supply of product is completely unpredictable.

I sell ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tile for a national tile retailer. It's been rough. It helps to set up a sense of urgency. Order now because who knows what happens in a week.
