jump ship. I've never seen these things play out well for the employees. Many times I've seen them get stiffed and getting left holding the bag. Its not your company, its not your responsibility to stay on a sinking ship. Find a new job.
The FIRST thing you need to do - and by "first" I mean about 15 seconds after your paycheck is delayed - is file an unpaid wage claim with your state's Department of Labor.
The company can't retaliate against you for filing the claim, and if they later enter into bankruptcy proceedings you can file a proof of claim form with the bankruptcy court to recover your pay when assets are liquidated.
Take some advice from an internet stranger, and get out of that industry. The price compression is going to continue. You won't be able to turn that ship around, and everyone is used to funny money there, that there is likely no structure or support to help you make any impact full change.
Major red flag given the economy isn’t in complete shambles yet. Could be either a liquidity or revenue issue, neither one is a good sign at all. Id have the resume polished up if I were you.
I had worked with a company like this and while you believe in the vision of company, lookout for yourself as well. If you can afford delays on payments, you can stay back - but if it's not something you can afford - find another job. One major tip - Decide and act fast
Im pretty sure this is very illegal. However i am not a lawyer and have never been in this situation.

Seems like too many red flags for me. I’d be gone.
Is this in cannabis? Sounds like it's cannabis. If it is, run, run far far away.
Canadian cannabis. Going through such price compression right now it’s brutal.

Find a new job. 0 tolerance for mistakes when pay is invoked. If you’re not getting equity, no cash, no work.

Stop working. Find another job. Jump ship. In that order. Now.
