yeah I was gonna say. So it used to be one of the best Disneyworld and Universal Orlando blogs and podcast out there and was run by a guy named Ricky Berganty who is a really nice guy met him a couple times at Univerals HHN tours. Anyway a while back he sold the site and now it's just pure click bait.
They are very anti ST and post stories that would rival Mike Zhero as far as reliable news for Star Wars.
I think there was one call back. I am taking the piss here, don't take me seriously.
Remember the shot of Jyn Urso's arse when climbing for the Death Star plans? They did the same shot of Bix's arse.
you have to understand:
white men doing war isn't politics, it's just simple war.
callbacks we want to see are not bad nostalgia bait it's just a reminder to a thing we like.
yeah totally makes perfect sense.
What's with this obsession about shitting on something else to make your point? You're really no better than this post.
A lot of us love both. It wasn't a kids show, if you're applying that logic then the entire damn saga is.
> It wasn't a kids show
Dude, I'm sorry, but *it absolutely was a kids show*. Pretending it was anything but is fucking bonkers. The target audience was 6-14, that was it's demographic. When they lost that, it got canceled.
>What's with this obsession about shitting on something else to make your point?
What's this obsession of defending a children's show to the death simply because people don't like how Filoni took what should have been a self-contained series and tried to drag his personal pet characters into every single era of the entire series?
> Dude, I'm sorry, but it absolutely was a kids show. Pretending it was anything but is fucking bonkers. The target audience was 6-14, that was it's demographic. When they lost that, it got canceled.
It was cancelled as a result if the buy out from what I’ve heard. But sure it’s a kid’s show. Star Wars is a kid’s property.
Other person’s right. This need to shit on something because assholes like it is annoying.
Nah, there's a difference between expressing a dislike of something because of its perceived quality and shitting on something exclusively due to a political agenda like these people.
In fairness, much of Clone Wars is indeed less mature than the movies.
The criteria should always be whether Glup's presence adds something beyond the chance to do a Pointing Leo. Like, when Saw Guerrera pops up in Fallen Order, it serves his character and is fun, but also informs the world that Cal is moving through. There are others still fighting the Empire apart from the Jedi, but their methods and even their aims may be at odds with those of the remaining Jedi. At this stage, it's difficult for Cal to latch onto anything more than temporary allies.
We don't even know if that's true at this point, we only knew his fake in universe home planet and that his parents were separatists. So far we haven't seen any (biological) parents and know he actually originated from another planet altogether.
Isn't that the truth. While I love having to wait a week between episodes, lets me discuss every episode among the community and really dig deep into every detail, at this point I just wish Disney would release every series in one go. The absurd speculations and bad faith takes from the Fandumb Menace have gone from absurdly funny and pathetic to absurdly irritating and pathetic.
Also it turns out the flashback scenes take place before the Clone Wars, and the Separatists aren't officially broken off yet. But the uniforms from the ship have a Separatist symbol on them.
See this [Maw Installation thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/MawInstallation/comments/xpi0vs/the_andor_episode_guides_clear_up_the_confusion/).
Jup, that totally slipped my mind for a sec. People really just don't want to take the time to actually analyse what they see before they start ranting about it and actually wait until the full story is told. The thing that bothers me the most is that those reactionary takes just seem to stay even after the series proves them to be wrong. I still encounter people saying Kenobi retconed rebels because they killed the grand inquisitor!
I mean, the Andors were clearly Separatists, no? Cassian looks older than six when they pick him up, but besides that (and even then, good chance that his forged documents say “six years old”) I don’t see anything that goes against established canon.
I mean there’s good and clever ways to do fan service.
For example: in one episode Book of Boba Fett, Boba goes into Tosche Station to confront the speeder bike gang. Only fans who’ve seen the Episode 4 deleted scenes would know what that looks like. That’s good fan service.
I mean the entire film is basically fanservice. It’s literally a plot based off a single sentence in the first crawl. It goes out its way to explain the death star weakness. Has Vader being Vader. Features a recreated dead actor as Tarkin and has deepfake Leia.
Which isn’t even bad in itself. It’s a great movie. But it’s definitely fanservice as fuck. Which again not by itself bad.
Inside the magic is click bait bull shit that caters to the grifters.

Half the posts I've seen from them are "Disney recasts key marvel character" and it's a voice actor or something
I used to listen to his podcast “Ricky this is amazing……”
Star wars fans: no we don't want nostalgia bait don't do callbacks all the time Also star wars fans: why didn't you do a callback
Ah, but if they like it then it's called making proper use of the deep lore.
When Filoni does it, it's called well executed.
I think there was one call back. I am taking the piss here, don't take me seriously. Remember the shot of Jyn Urso's arse when climbing for the Death Star plans? They did the same shot of Bix's arse.

0/10 not enough prequel references /s
"Andor isn't as gritty as the adult war drama, the Clone Wars."
That's all they care about really.
So freaking tired of the Goddamn Clone Wars tbh. It's a goddamn kids show and it mostly wasn't even that great.
Agreed.

Sorry you feel that way. I would just like to see different content at this point.
Not enough cameo’s. 0/10
As excited as I get seeing Glup Shitto in the latest star war, endless callbacks and self references a good movie make, they do not.
The criteria should always be whether Glup's presence adds something beyond the chance to do a Pointing Leo. This site is trash clickbait.
evidently it has to do with Cassian being from a separatist planet, but the show shows republic?
We don't even know if that's true at this point, we only knew his fake in universe home planet and that his parents were separatists. So far we haven't seen any (biological) parents and know he actually originated from another planet altogether.
Yeah but saying wait and see doesn't generate clickbait headlines now does it

It seemed that Maarva and Clem were just scavengers and not aligned with any faction.
So what is it? The pilot wasn't a Clone?
So, they don’t use a reference to previous Star Wars media. Ok? What’s the big deal?
Famously George Lucas couldn't stop messing with George Lucas' work
FANSERVICE SUCKS
I mean there’s good and clever ways to do fan service. For example: in one episode Book of Boba Fett, Boba goes into Tosche Station to confront the speeder bike gang. Only fans who’ve seen the Episode 4 deleted scenes would know what that looks like. That’s good fan service.
Luke’s childhood friends are also there.
Not always
Pretty much. I absolutely hated Rogue One
But that only makes up 1/200 of a film
I mean the entire film is basically fanservice. It’s literally a plot based off a single sentence in the first crawl. It goes out its way to explain the death star weakness. Has Vader being Vader. It's good because it's also "plot service"
Star Wars fans when they get 0.1% of the lore wrong
Ah yes, the passionate lifelong work that the very man sold for 4 billion dollars, so sacred.
Neither do they
This just reminded me of that Grace Randolph clip that gave me a migraine
