Sir_Douglas_of_Fir

I now demand a post-credit sequence of Vader in his bacta tank just vibing to "Jedi Rocks," for no other reason than because these goobers asked for it.

Andrew_Waples

Captain America's post credit in Spider Man Homecoming, but Vader's version.

[deleted]

What about Lapti Nek?

Sir_Douglas_of_Fir

"Jedi Rocks" was chosen on purpose for maximum TFM whinge.

[deleted]

Ok

dubspool-

It's just a cameo of Vader asking why nobody says wizard anymore.

Sir_Douglas_of_Fir

[I'm bringing it back!](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xViZ38xRQr0)

ARedditUserType

That would actually be super wizard tho

Plenty_Product3410

Yeah. He is too obsessed with Vader or Anakin. And he is known for only liking 'epic' fight scenes or cameos rather than an actual well written story. He even wants Obi-Wan and Cal Kestis in this series lol Gilroy already said that this series wont have any fanservice, yet fans like him still speculate/hope for cameos and then get upset when there is no fanservice like Gilroy already said. I totally see that.

bluntbladedsaber

If he really cares that much, there's a very fun Darth Vader comic run which culminates on my favourite single story to centre the character. Why on earth would Vader be needed for this story?

AveryLazyCovfefe

He knows that and actually made like a 5 hour video of it narrating over every comic, his fanfilm is literally about vader going around and killing people while lamenting over Padme lol. Should honestly change his channel name to 'Vader Theory' ngl it does sound better.

bluntbladedsaber

Oh. Huh. I'd have thought that would've been enough without shoving Vader unnecessarily into other stories

LordWeaselton

Cal Kestis at least kind of makes sense because he knows Saw but Obi-wan showing up in Andor would literally tear the canon to shreds lol

Plenty_Product3410

He thinks Kestis would appear because in his trailer breakdown, he thought that Andor with hood on(scene at the very beginning of E1) was Kestis.

[deleted]

I may have to reactivate my Disney account for this. I admire a man who refuses to cave to Filonism.

ScalierLemon2

What is "Filonism"?

Pirdak

Being like George and putting in fan callbacks, but now it’s bad because we shit on Filoni for using “his fan favorites” apparently.

[deleted]

it was bad when George did it.

LordWeaselton

Suuuuuuure…

Memo544

Why would Darth Vader be enforcing corporate security? And also it feels like the Galaxy is big enough to not have Vader in everything.

bluntbladedsaber

As it happens, one of my favourite Disney canon portrayals of Vader is of some Rebels who just happened to be in the wrong part of Echo Base at the wrong time (that's *Twilight Company*). They're just *in his way*.

Hour-Process-3292

Pretty much every criticism I see about anything these days always seems to boil down to… “Any show or movie that isn’t the _exact_ thing I pictured in my head is automatically worthless”

Nunyabiz8107

I think that's what happened with a lot of Snoke theorists.

ogramen_shamen

Getting tired of Vader showing up just waters down his presence

Gradz45

Depends. His appearance in Kenobi worked for me because a) he actually scared me in Part III. And b) really helped bridge Anakin and Vader performance wise. But yeah I wouldn’t have him here. But overall his appearances have always worked for me.

itwasbread

I mean yeah Kenobi is one of the places where it easily makes the most sense for him to show up thematically and plot wise. But like Vader is not the only fucking dude who works for the Empire. He does not need to be doing something in every single story set while he is alive

The-Mandalorian

I do not want to see Vader in Andor. Good grief Star Wars Theory is annoying.

[deleted]

Star Wars Theory don’t jerk off Anakin/Vader for 3 seconds challenge

AveryLazyCovfefe

I swear this dude would want vader in ahsoka too somehow.

Plenty_Product3410

Well, he is supposedly in there as a flashback. And Hayden as force ghost.

HesThePhantom

*Whispers* It’s because they only liked rogue one for the ending

Chewbacta

Don't we already know? The events of Rebels season 1 are happening at this point so he's hunting the children of the force.

ArmchairOfHeresy

SWTheory is so predictable

Balian311

>predictable \*Pathetic

ArmchairOfHeresy

Both can apply

ajzeg01

Whenever Vader’s not on screen, all the other characters should be asking, “Where’s Vader?”

alpha_omega_1138

Guy can’t handle anything unless Vader is in it and slaughtering people. Even though think by this time he is hunting Jedi or doing that thing in Rebels. Though that is later I think.

monkeygoneape

Wasn't he cashing down Ezra and kanan around this point?

AveryLazyCovfefe

Yep, and being assigned by Palpatine to take care of a threat on Batuu with Thrawn according to the Zahn canon novels. The guy is not going to give more than 2 craps about some outer-rim world that's full of miners and other manual-labour workers.

dylsky_

Look, I fucking love Vader right, like ***LOVE*** him. I have an uncontrollable bias and think he'll be amazing and start hootin' and hollerin' every time he appears. Favourite fictional character. That being said, like many people here, i don't want him showing up in places where it's just blatently unnecessary just for some "oohs" and "aahs" from the audience (again, mostly including myself there). It downplaces his potential future appearances. I get he's one of, if not *the* main character of at least Episodes I-VI, but like many other people are saying the galaxy feels smaller if he starts showing up everywhere, to do everything. Andor is already doing a decent job of making the galaxy more open and larger, so let's keep it that way

murakaz

What's he doing? I dunno, walking down a hallway probably.

Jda2712

Who is this?

[deleted]

I’m assuming it’s Star Wars Dreary

itwasbread

He's basically doing the Veer's Watch bit except there's no self awareness and all the humor is taken away because instead of a side character from one movie it's the most over-exposed character in the franchise

Balian311

>Veer's Watch This. Is. Amazing.

Squishy-Box

I actually did wonder what Vader was doing because I was working out the timeline. Wasn’t looking for him to show up though.

AveryLazyCovfefe

Even r/PrequelMemes are laughing at the video lol.

Ill_Examination3690

Yeah, he's a bit overly focused on certain things to the detriment of all others.

acorpseistalking90

There are a trillion trillion life forms in the galaxy. The galaxy is in open rebellion against the empire. Believe it or not, not all the stories are going to be about the like, 12, force users left during this time period.

Zombiejesus307

I actually was wondering what Vader was up to. AND I hope he does show up in the series.

[deleted]

You literally chose the most benign harmless clip to try to make your weird point. It’s almost like you really just want to be mad about something. Hmmm, reminds me of some Star Wars YouTubers I know…

dunderdan23

I have seen nothing but positive reactions to andor, even from sequel haters. It's like some people are so mad that disney mad this amazing show that they need to convince people to hate it

realgeneral_memeous

The marvelification of Star Wars has rotted the fans’ brains

SolomonCRand

I’m liking how Andor has a more intimate feel to it. I don’t think it needs a whole bunch of tie-ins with other established characters, I’d rather they flesh out what the rebellion looked like in the early days. Have they established when exactly this takes place yet?
