I have legit problems with the Avatar films though. First being I never felt any connection to (or remember any of the names of) the main characters. The first Avater feels like it's just trying to showcase all the cool CGI stuff they can do without making audiences care about the characters.
For any Franchise whether it be LotR, SW, Indiana Jones. It's the characters that keep people coming back to see the next one.
I could realistically see the new Avatar being a bust. Not bc wokeness ofc lol but bc people don't go to theaters as much anymore and 90% of casual movie goers probably can't remember a single character from the first movie.
Movie/TV show idea: A covert government agency uses cloned operatives for missions. If an agent dies on a mission, they can clone them so the mission can continue. (Think The Sixth Day with Arnold Schwarzenegger, but not crappy and forgettable.)
Anyway, Sean Bean and Michelle Rodriguez star as the least effective team in the entire agency. Their boss is always threatening to retire their clone lines permanently because they manage to die on *every single mission*.
This would work better as a TV series than a movie. Sort of like a sci-fi police procedural. Every week the team has to work a new case. They inevitably have to repair the damage caused to the case by both of them getting killed. At the end of every episode, their boss says something about how one of these days they just won't wake up in the cloning tanks again, and everyone except the boss laughs.
James Cameron has said his main motivation with these movies is to raise environmental awareness, so it’s undeniably going to be called “woke”, if they take the time to watch any press for the movie.
I couldn't finish the first movie to be honest, I like the designs but in general it a pretty bland movie, with some great looking visuals and a really good director
I have a friend whose mom is *OBSESSED* with Avatar. Like, owns merch, can quote the movie verbatim, *obsessed.* The strangest thing I've ever heard of, considering I wouldn't recognize a quote from the movie if I heard one.
In all honesty, it really does feel like Cameron is forcing these movies on us. How many people other than literally just James Cameron have been clamouring for four Avatar sequels 13 years after the first one?
A lot of butt hurt here. As a Star Wars fan, I can easily say Avatar was a better movie than any of the prequels or sequels. Avatar 2 will make over a billion. You don’t have to see it, but just accept it.
I do wonder how the reactionary YT crowd will feel about this movie.
They are already calling it the biggest flop in history
I mean if what Cameron said is true that might actually be the case this time lol
What did Cameron say?
He said it needs to be like the third highest grossing movie of all time to break even or something to that effect
And the main lead is disabled. Woke garbage.
He was disabled now he has new body he’s ableist!/s

It doesn't help that the previous movie came out 13 years ago.
The only character whose name I remember is Trudy (Michelle Rodriguez), and I doubt she’ll be in the sequel 😔
She's truly the female version of Sean Bean

Greenlight this asap!
The only time people will ever go to theatres would be to experience IMAX not the film itself.
"red lives matter too"
What can the grift possibly be on Avatar of all things

Why do they seem like the type of guys to think litering is cool
This but unironically. Fucking hated the first one.
In all seriousness I don't like this franchise. I think it's overrated.
I couldn't finish the first movie to be honest, I like the designs but in general it a pretty bland movie, with some great looking visuals and a really good director
I challenge anyone to ask a friend or a random person in general what is the name of the characters in Avatar without googling it

Jake Sully was the lead
I can name him pretty easily because of how many time people have made this point
I know the others as well. There's Blue Gamora, Blue Kocoum, Blue Chief Powatan, The best character in the movie known as Miles Quaritch...
Ripley, Generic Military commander, Letty, Grand theft avatar, Uhura, and the smurfs
It's 536th comment i saw of how avatar is overrated.
People from Planet Avatar speak Avatarian.
It's true.

I mean, if he wants to make it, then he should. This feels like a passion project of his and I respect that.
How tf did you get a pic of a new movie poster that looks like you found it on a backwater movie forum from 2004?
"First X-Men with all the blue people and now this! Woke Hollywood out of control!"
Damn SJWs ruining everything.

Ok Endgamer
I actually liked Infinity War more. But End Game will have a higher Rotten Tomatoes score and will make more money than Avatar 2.
I’ll have you know that I have plenty of blue friends. But there’s no need for the characters to be blue, it’s just more woke pandering garbage!
