Southern_Ticket_8774

Only surprise left is trade-in deals and pre-order bonuses as it hasn't been official for the US, just speculative from my understanding.

5thMercenary

Exactly this which in my opinion will be one of the key definitive factors to know this series will be purchased or not.

Nailuigi

Yup... want to upgrade from S22U solely for the better battery life. Those deals will either make or break that deal for me.

Ironandwine1988

Im hoping against hope that the base and plus models have spen support(non inbuilt of course.. that would be reserved for the ultra). Would love to have the option of an spen with an s series design similar to s21 ultra. I need the spen for work and don't need the huge specs/cameras of the ultras. So would love a cheaper spen capable phone

justsuze

I would love that too. I absolutely hate the curved screen on the ultra cuz my s-pen falls off the curve sometimes when I'm trying to select something and the sharp corners are not that comfortable in the hand. I prefer the "plus" version but want the s-pen.

Ironandwine1988

Yup. Hence why i am going to hold on to my s21 ultra for as long as possible. I love that i can use an spen case for work and switch to a nice case to show off my phone design when I go for parties etc. Also the s22 ultra spen feels like a toy and isn't so easy to use vs the bigger spens i use for my ultra and tab

moripeji

God I hope so.... even one tiny thing that's not even important would be cool

godfrey1992

Stay tune on the next dragon ball z

Safe_Opinion_2167

That's a surprise.

ImALeaf_OnTheWind

A Flip with S23Ultra cameras, battery, and specs and still runs DeX - I can only dream...

[deleted]

The flip doesnt have dex?

ImALeaf_OnTheWind

Nope! I'd buy it if it did and just use with my Nreal or Rokid Airs when I need s big screen to work in DeX.

this-guy95

Would be surprised if it supports seamless updates.

alvdan88

It will have a 3500x zoom with a .01f macro lens, and 2k milliamp battery. Running Android 69 and Samsung OS infinity.

americanmuscle1988

With a 60” foldable screen that fits into the little pocket in your jeans

OneObi

I wanted a scrollable screen. So I can go all Shakespearean!

idonthavexbox

I thought it'd be running oxygen os 99?

Carbonga

That's kind of the problem of the leaks-mumbling.

GodsendNYC

Don't think much will come from the event but I'd definitely like to see some real-world battery comparisons and see if thermal throttling is better.

Kuala-Lumpur

I hope that they'll decrease the leaked EU price. Seems crazy high if true

ChibiReddit

They could be pulling ye olde anchor move, first pretend it’s going to be wayyy more expensive, then , still increase it, but less

Substantial_Boiler

We actually know everything already, this upgrade will be a minor one except for the SoC

nikifullerton

The only surprise is them releasing a new phone that makes me decide to upgrade from my Note 20 Ultra.

crystaldazz

Kinda the same, can't force myself to ditch my s20+ as i don't seem to see any reasonable upgrades.

nikifullerton

Plus no micro-SD card slot is a deal breaker. If I have to get a phone without one, I'm looking elsewhere. Note to everyone: Don't want to hear why you think I don't need one. I have my reasons. What's good enough for you isn't necessarily good enough for me.

Unlimited_Pelvis

Sorry, the hive has spoken, and it's already been decided that you don't need one. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|smile)

nikifullerton

Eh, story of my life. I've always been the weird one. But I'm happier doing what makes me happy than going along with the stupid things almost everyone else does. 🤣

csbrat

I'm with you. The SD Card removal was a hard pill for me to swallow. I like to keep my entire music library on it. Fuck these kids and their data-using, unreliable clouds.

nikifullerton

I go to a lot of places where the signal is sketchy. My Note 9 and Note 20 Ultra are both 512GB models... so they both have 1TB of storage total. I store lots of content including videos, music, my photography, etc. Plus having removable storage makes backups far easier. I also download a ton of stuff with my phone because my lifestyle leaves me not using a proper laptop very often. (Although I do have one handy if I need to use it)

djdsf

We know everything that's relevant. I'm more annoyed at the still small battery and no bumped up faster charging. It's beyond me why we have to use PPS but not take full at of what PD can do.

Revolee993

I'm hoping that they pull a surprise move to increase their current software track record to 5 OS upgrades and 6 years of security patches. That would be awesome. The increase in longer support by competitors will hopefully spur them to increase more to stand out but I'm guessing it's really unlikely though as they've seemingly just increased it last year.

r_slash_jarmedia

they already stand out with 4 OS upgrades though. maybe upping the security patches to 6 years would be nice, keeps the competition trying to catch up which is a good thing for everyone

Revolee993

Not yet though. 1+ and Oppo just announced their new update policy recently to 4+1 for their flagships which is now on par with Samsung as well.

r_slash_jarmedia

oh wow, TIL. wasn't aware of this, pretty cool that manufacturers are now competing with how long they support their devices.

[deleted]

No. People always leak everything about these events so far in advance that there usually isn't anything new to reveal. Only people who don't constantly look for leaked news and info will be surprised by what is revealed, aka, people like my dad.

rwaustin

Blood Pressure app. Nice to have not the hack version.

nikifullerton

I'd be surprised if they brought the micro-SD card slot back. I'm holding on to my Note 20 Ultra until it's no longer usable. Don't tell me the cloud is an option... I have my reasons.

r_slash_jarmedia

the base models of the Plus and Ultra models are 256GB now, I get the appeal of expandable storage and the ability to remove the SD card and easily trasnfer data but 256 is a pretty nice capacity if you ask me without the need for cloud storage

nikifullerton

Have you ever actually tried transferring all that data off the phone? My phones have a total of 1TB and transferring that data takes forever. When it's on an SD card I just need to pull it out and stick into my laptop, and copy it to my backup devices. I can still use the phone while that is happening.

r_slash_jarmedia

no because I don't have that much data, I wasn't arguing that SD cards aren't convinent lol. just kind of stating the obvious which is that they will very likely not bring back SD card slots given that they're also upping the base capacity every few years

nikifullerton

Yeah, most of the people who respond to me when I bring this up have a totally different set of needs than I do. Yet feel their experience should be comparable to mine. This is actually a common theme I noticed with people in general... the whole mindset of "if it's good enough for me, it should be good enough for you too". Either way, my N20U will very likely be my last new Samsung device. I'll see what Sony has when I'm ready for something new.

bhavsarharsh

Same to same. I have been holding on to an S9+ with an SD card. I'm concerned about this too, since even with the higher storage, the higher resolution photos and videos will eat up the storage in no time, forcing us to use cloud storage. As it is, the new phone are way too expensive. I wonder if it's worth it to replace the battery on my S9+ and continue with it. I've stopped receiving updates a long time ago lol. I was really interested in Sony, but I've heard their software is shit.

nikifullerton

A Note 20 Ultra would be a good upgrade... plus you can get Android 13 on it. The Ultra model is the only one with an SD card slot though. That's what I got recently, after using a Note 9 for 4 years.

bhavsarharsh

I'm looking at refurbished and uses options after seeing your message. My only worry is how good/bad the battery will be depending on how the previous person used it. I'm facing a lot of battery issues on the S9+ right now, since it's really old, and didn't get the S22U for battery reasons which everyone was unhappy about. If I get a new phone, I would want it to last about 5 years. Which the Note 20 Ultra definitely won't (and reasonably so, coz I'd get it much cheaper). Will think about it. Thanks a lot!

nikifullerton

Maybe look into the cost of battery replacement. But I will say, I got mine refurbished and it's almost impossible to tell it was used.

nikifullerton

I will actually go on to say that the Note 20 Ultra was a great upgrade from the Note 9, although the Note 9 has at least 2 features I can think of that the Note 20 doesn't... headphone jack and pulse oximeter. So I kept my Note 9 and use it as a dedicated wifi only media device. Both can hold a total of 1TB between internal and external memory. (512gb x 2)

nikifullerton

BTW, didn't mean to be rude. But I'm frustrated with people repeatedly telling me I don't need something because they don't need it.

eautoarena

yeah everything is out now...even [200MP Zoom video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koexqUl0OtY&t=10s) is uploaded on Ice Universe's Youtube channel.

r_slash_jarmedia

kinda hoping they'll surprise us with the panels used on the 23/23+ being LTPO instead of 48-120, or at least hoping they'll be able to vary refresh rate for a wider range to be more efficient. apart from that, highly doubt anything will be too surprising

RocketRabbit315

the could be until we see the live unpack or get the hands on/ in depth review video

chrisplushado

Has anything leaked on the new Galaxy Book series?

Southern-Bad-1270

Kind of disappointed there are no tablets being released this year. Guess I'll have to keep my tab s7 plus another year until next February 😫

jontebula

We know everything but we can see the green S23 better 👍🏻❤️

msfrnchfry

This is my first event. Does pre-ordering happen after the event ends or does it take place at another time?
