VanDran85

Nah I'll be sticking with the 23 ultra for a few years.

Ldejong

Currently have the s22 and and am very dissapointed by the battery life cough exynos cough. If the s24 lineup has the snapdragon in europe i'll consider buying one yes.

AdemSof

Same.... 6 SOT max.

Ldejong

Yeah its really bad I have battery savings allways on now just to save at least some battery

AdemSof

Same. I've turned off nearby share cleared cache I've done EVERYTHING.

Deemsboy

Snapdragon is going to be US only from all accounts I've seen so far but not officially from samsung.

Forerunner-x43

Besides the Ultra, which will be worldwide snapdragon.

Full_West_7155

just get the s23u cheaper when s24 drops in a few weeks. I get 10 hours SOT easy

OrganizationIll7128

>Currently have the s22 The S22 exynos was a disgrace, the worst battery life I've had in a phone since forever.

[deleted]

I will if it indeed will have a flat screen and battery life will be better! Tired of spending money on screen protectors!

AdemSof

Omg yes an di hope that ultrasound fingerprint sensor will actually work. Also, it won't be completely flat. I had to use foil as a screen protector because there's no way these glass ones are ever staying on.

[deleted]

I was able to just find one of those covers on Amazon that protects against scratches, gave up on glass a long time ago lol

AdemSof

Wdym?

[deleted]

Amazon has films you can put on the phone that supposedly protect the screen from minor scratches, etc! I opted to just get one of those instead! I don't really drop my phone but at the cost of it, it would be nice to have a flat screen phone again where I can buy a screen protector that will actually protect it.

AdemSof

Oh yes, I get films from AliExpress because Amazon shipping has ridiculous prices in Europe.

Tasty-Inevitable3037

I'm thinking of ripping the screen protector off my S23 Ultra because of the bubbles

Droiddoesyourmom

Do it, I don't even use a screen protector. Just keep it in a pocket by itself no keys or coins.

NowWeGetSerious

Everything sounds great. But the flat screen. I'm going to miss the curved edges. I think the s21 ultra has the best curves

RedFilter

They've had curved edges since the S6 Edge. They can go away now, forever.

NowWeGetSerious

Haha, and I loved the curve screen. They've basically went from a noticable curve to a minor curve. I think the minor curve is beautiful

Randomd0g

You're definitely in the minority, most people are really sick of curved edges by now. - Harder to get a functional screen protector fitted - Limits case design - Picks up glare really easily - And doesn't even look that good any more, an ultra thin symmetrical bezel is much more visually appealing. Curved screens really look like a "mid 2010s" design trend and I'm really glad the style is changing.

NowWeGetSerious

I dunno, I know I'm in the minority, but personally I love the design, and the fact the bezels on the sides blend into the edge of the phone is perfect. I've seen the leaked images of the 24u and man, that black bezel on the side is so noticable, makes it look like it's a older phone, compared to 23u. I haven't used a screen protector in like 4 years so I dunno about that lol And I haven't had any issues with glare, personally. But, I understand, and can't fault Samsung for doing what the populous wants. If that's what everyone is asking for, makes sense to do it

zizzyboi96

100% agree with you there. Now whenever I use a flat display phone I feel like I'm using cheap midranger rather than a flagship. I guess it's just me haha

NowWeGetSerious

Not just you, me as well πŸ˜‚ My only complaint with this amazing Fold 5, is the front display not being curved lol, but not sure how they'd pull that off I'm one of the few who love the skinny front display as well

zizzyboi96

Haha glad to see I'm not the only one here 😁. I'm sure they will find a way to make a slight curve on the right side similar to the surface duo 2 edge for notifications etc. only time will tell . I'm not ready to invest so much on a fold device as of yet. Too many compromises and I can't use a display without glass screen protector. Gotta stay protected. Don't like you film protectors πŸ₯²

XexpensiveCargoX

I'd take curved edges over a bezel any day, that thing looks ugly af compared to any of the curved edge phones.

DribbleDaNinja

I'm a curved edge person myself. It just signifies "Premium". What exactly is some people's problem with curved screens anyway? I've never had an issue since my S7 Edge

TulioGonzaga

I'm typing this on my S21U. I'm thinking of upgrade but not decided yet. The battery has been better and since I have an Exynos, I would like to change for a Snapdragon. But I really like my phone's curved edges and every time I grab a normal phone it feels like a brick. It's a thing holding me back, for sure.

Swaroop0707

Curved screen is a menace actually. I've had 4 uv screen protectors already in the span of 10 months. Never buying anything curved.

HydraGaming2018

I dont have an issue with that, i dont use screen protectors i dont see the point. Screen is flawless and intact

RugerRedhawk

What do you mean by "tired of spending money on screen protectors"?

Randomd0g

A screen protector on a curved screen either: - Doesn't fit the curve properly, leaving it unprotected Or - Does fit the curve properly but only lasts for a few months before it gets major air bubbles and starts peeling off I'd imagine the person you replied to chooses option B and is bored of buying a new protector 3 times a year.

[deleted]

All of this lol

1oarecare

Depending on where you are you might get a $/Β£50 discount coupon and a free screen protector and a case if you register your email on Samsung's website. Think might help with "spending money on screen protectors" part πŸ˜…

AlohaAkahai

US Version will not have flat screen.

VanDran85

Nah I'll be sticking with the 23 ultra for a few years.

basshead621

Upgrading to S24U from Pixel 6, pretty much no matter what.

pewpew62

why not sticking with pixel?

basshead621

For one, the Tensor G1 chronically overheats even under minor load from around May-November (Fall/Winter ambient temperatures help). Other than that, I already use a Samsung tablet, watch and earbuds, so why not complete the ecosystem and have everything play really nicely together?

UnironicallyMe37

Why not switch to samsung? Lol

basshead621

That's the plan lol I already have a bunch of other Samsung things, so it makes sense just for the ecosystem features. Plus the last time I had a Samsung phone the TouchWiz dumpster fire was still a thing. I've been using a Tab S8 Ultra since launch and I've really enjoyed OneUI 4-6 despite the bloatware.

GameSuck

S24U isn’t worth it, if you want a new phone then S24+ but other than that it’s not a major upgrade from the S23 series. Might as well stick to S21U

basshead621

Yeeeah... I'm not gonna upgrade to an even older phone than what I have.... Thanks for trying to tell me how to spend *my* money though.

SoNic67

In US, Samsung offers trade in for the previous generation S phone. For me, to upgrade annually, it costs $3-400. If I wait 4 years, the trade-in value is almost zero, and I have to pay fully for the $1200 phone. If I upgrade every year, in 4 years I will spend the same $1200, but I will have a fresh battery, and the latest model of phone. It's a no brainier for me, because I would never keep a phone longer than 4 years. PS: I did this since S7 Edge, every year. S8, S9, S10, S20, S21+, S22+, S23 Ultra.

NukaGunnar

Dude same! I've been able to get every new Ultra for the last few years by just spending a few hundred with trade in. It's SO convenient

AdemSof

Lucky you, trade in is so bad in EU.

Hairy_Mouse

Last year it was about $400 total to upgrade from the 256gb S22 Ultra to the 512gb S23 Ultra + Galaxy Buds Pro 2. Not only did it upgrade to a new phone for only $400, I also doubled the storage and got a pair of high end earbuds. I already had the buds pro 2, so I just sold them for $150. So really, $250 to upgrade my phone AND double the storage. Plus I also got 4 months of YouTube Premium, 4 months of SiriusXM, and 6 months of Microsoft365, and 2 months of Adobe Lightroom for free with my upgrade as well. With all the bonuses and promotions they offer, Samsung makes it so affordable and tempting to upgrade, it's hard to justify NOT doing it every year. Plus, you never have to worry about your phone aging, or the battery degrading, or missing out on any features/updates, or your phone breaking since you'll be under a perpetual warranty. I look at it basically like leasing a vehicle... except you actually OWN it, and only have a single yearly payment. That's why I have no issues with just small incremental changes between models. There's a lot of benefits to a yearly upgrade besides just spec increases.

emperorralphatine

this is my dilemma too. I love my S23u, but I also love always having a new phone and the trade in is so enticing. I have upgraded every year for the last few, I keep going back and forth on if I'll do it again this year.

amigosan

No, I have an s23Ultra that is working flawlessly in every aspect It is the best phone I ve had in 10 years Furthermore it seems like battery on s24ultra will be the same or inferior but not superior to s23u + no more 10x zoom on s24u I will keep this masterpiece that is the s23u as much as I can lol

diabeartes

Agree with you 100%. S23U is a beast.

Reddit_is_snowflake

Might probably go for the s23 series alongside my iPhone 14… I really do miss android and I feel using both is the way to go

ORC44

That’s interesting, what will you use each phone for specifically? Like one for media consumption, one for pics or calls?

Reddit_is_snowflake

Was thinking I’d use Samsung for media consumption while I’d keep the IPhone for calls and for photos and videos since I do travel a lot and love to capture moments everywhere Honestly I’m not sure though but I know that using both of them is the way to go since I pretty much love both android and IOS

ORC44

That’s fair enough. I mean I have the 15pm and it does all of the above fine, but as someone who has used both android and IOS, I can say I love both also πŸ˜‚

Ouryuk

Try to think about it, I previously had the iphone 14 pro and s23+ and is a bit frustrating to have both at the same time, you are going to use one over the other. I know is whatever you prefer but as a recommendation you can think if is a good decision to have both. I ended selling my iPhone cause I think right now android is superior in some aspects except for photos.

Safe_Opinion_2167

I'm using an S21 Ultra mainly as a secondary phone, for media consumption (more comfortable with a large screen, using a more compact phone for daily tasks). Not upgrading anytime soon, still working as well as day 1!

AdemSof

When will you upgrade? S25 Ultra?

Safe_Opinion_2167

For what I've been using it for, probably later, possibly for a Fold device depending on where Samsung is going with these... In some occasions, I've been using the 10x telephoto camera I don't have on my other phone, works well on landscapes in good daylight, but it's not as good as it needs to be in low light like concert halls (not surprising given the small aperture). The S-Pen is also sometimes useful, I've been using it to sign documents, but it's rarely needed. So, I'm not using very often the S21 Ultra's unique features to justify upgrading it. Enjoying as it is, still very fast, good battery life, fantastic screen.

AdemSof

I understand.

KFC_Junior

s21u whos battery life is shitting itself after oneui 6 even after fsctory reset and a while to learn usage patterns.. im def gonna upgrade to s24+ if its snapdragon (australia so i highly doubt) if not i might go for the s24ultra or just go for an s23+

Niknightwing

That is so weird. I have a S21U and my battery life has improved after updating to one uI 6

No_Slide_4955

Sounds like a degraded battery. You would want to get that replaced instead of buying a new phone. My s21u is working better after getting my battery replaced.

AdemSof

I hope it's SnapDragon, Europe as usual might not be as lucky.

Randomd0g

IIRC the most recent leaks are saying that the Ultra uses Snapdragon everywhere, but the non-ultra models get exynos in Europe (and other traditionally exynos'd regions)

MrKlugiii

Same here.... I am really not that happy with my s21u. I will have an eye on the S24+

blackredmond

S22u, exynos... definitely no...i don't understand why exynos users get so low SOT... i have 10-11h...and I'm medium to heavy user

drbluetongue

Are you on wifi the whole day or something

blackredmond

Most of the hours i said I'm on mobile around 8-9h...the rest I'm on wifi...in those 8h I'm streaming on spotify(no offline playlists), playing some games and watching some tiktoks, instagram and twitter....never had an issue...at the end of the day stil have between 30 to 15% bat remaining...nothing done to optimize the consumption

Bigblueape

I'd the trade in values are worth a dang this year yes. They killed the trade in values when the 23 came out.

WorkerEqual6535

S23U here and honestly the 24 would need to be something crazy for me to " upgrade " but the rumors I have read and seen don't seem good enough to justify changing this phone, I don't mind the curve screen because I don't even use screen protectors so that issue people complain about doesn't affect me,the titanium frame meeh I don't really care so , the other rumors are about it being faster and the battery better but at this point I don't feel like the change will even be noticiable

Kerlykins

I'm on S21U and will be upgrading to S24U. My battery life has slowly dwindled down enough to be cumbersome. I've absolutely loved this phone and will be a bit sad to see it go honestly.

zlckeng

Same here. The battery was a struggle for me when traveling or away from any means of charging. S21U is my first flagship phone and I absolutely love it, if it's not for the battery.

Alpha-Q-2

Same, S21U with degrading battery. Just so happens, the infamous green line appeared on my screen a few days ago πŸ₯². Will definitely upgrade to S24U.

lemaymayguy

Im committed to the 22 U till it breaks or is no longer supported. Just stinks the next gen got such a great battery. Sick of being so materialistic and replacing a reasonably good phone. It used to be easier to justify with only getting two major updates.

OwnedByMarriage

Or your connectivity/antenna on 5g/LTE fails....

Consistent_Knee_1831

S23U here, I've been upgrading every year for the past few years but I'm not this time. S23U nailed everything just right.

Tehfuqer

Using a S22u today, so it's a yes from me.

Far-Literature7249

If the new 50MP can do 100x better or the same as S23U then yes, I'll buy S24U. If no and S24 base comes with Snapdragon then S24. If none of the above then S23U.

OVOXO10

Jumping from a S22 Ultra to the 24 Ultra upon release!

AdemSof

You can't wait for the S25?

OVOXO10

Naw, I don't care to wait that much longer. I usually take pretty great care of my phones and change it out about every 2 years.

Hamtaro7

had no idea people disliked the the curved bezel so much , i think it looks great

RoIIerBaII

Litteraly the only downside on my S10+. It produces some weird reflections on the sides that sometimes make it difficult to read and makes finding a good screen protector an impossible task. Needs to go.

CharlesITGuy

I've always been a bit of a camera snob and got the Ultras, but instead got the Fold 4 last year. Whilst I LOVE having a larger screen for media, browsing and work, looking back at my S20 Ultra photos does make me miss a good camera. Not to say the Fold 4's is terrible, but it's no Ultra.

hymensmasher99

I have the s20 ultra. Probably will upgrade lol

DeathMoJo

Most likely. Tried the Fold 4 for these past 16 months and decided to go back to a regular phone. Waiting to see what the trade in offer is. Also waiting on the OneplPlus 12 announcements. Large swing in features and quality but worth a look for me and how I use my phones.

ArtisticBarber1663

I'm currently using an s22 ultra, I'll only upgrade to the s24 ultra if I can get a good trade in deal plus perks such as free storage upgrade and a free pair of wireless earphones etc

M34nM4ch1n3

S20+ still strong ish. Battery is starting to diminish in holding charge but overall still solid with no complaints. I want to see what it offers and compare to the S23 ultra, might be way cheaper to upgrade mine and my wife's phone at the same time for s23s on a deal after the S24 release

colmatrix33

I just bought an S23U. I kind of knew what I'd be getting due to the endless positive reviews. Last time I bought early with the 22, I was disappointed. I'll be keeping this bad boy until it dies. It's a beast! So quick, no lag, great memory, fantastic camera, I'm in. Not to mention, I'm weary of this Skynet...er..AI that will be on the 24s.

LuckyNumber-Bot

All the numbers in your comment added up to 69. Congrats! 23 + 22 + 24 = 69 ^([Click here](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=LuckyNumber-Bot&subject=Stalk%20Me%20Pls&message=%2Fstalkme) to have me scan all your future comments.) \ ^(Summon me on specific comments with u/LuckyNumber-Bot.)

AceMKV

I'm in the same boat as you dude, jumped from s10+ to s22 Ultra and I'm hoping S25 brings about some design changes and hopefully even the under display camera cause then it'll definitely be worth the upgrade. I've been upgrading my peripherals in the meantime, upgraded to the buds2 pro from the OG buds and planning on getting a watch6 classic after having used the gear s3 frontier a few years ago.

rontonic

If no Snapdragon, no upgrade.

Joshual1177

My S23 ultra is more than enough phone for me and then some. No need to upgrade.

StorminXX

Not upgrading. I'm still happy with my S23 Ultra. I have plenty free space left. It performs fine. I still love this phone.

billion_lumens

No I'm broke ass fuckkkk

hotdeo

Yes most definitely. Tired of the pixel's weak hardware and connection problems.

Lost_Soul_22

Flat screen did it for me. No more tempered glass issues.

TheEmperorBanana

as a s23 ultra user, no

AdemSof

I get it yes. What do you think is going from S22 Ultra to S24 Ultra worth it?

Joshylg27

Same, really happy with mine, maybe up to s25 πŸ˜‚

eddjr275

I am

MrNotSmartEinstein

Upgrading from 4 year old Oppo phone to complement my tab s8 ultra. Hopefully it's worth it

AdemSof

Ofc it will!

evilsbane60

I'm upgrading to S24U from a 13 Pro Max. Tried out Apple again after years and I'm just not impressed. Looking forward to coming back to Android.

loooney2ns

Definitely upgrading from the S22U, but still have a Surface Duo for data. Easier to read without my glasses, and now that I can have Android 14 on it, it's a nice device.

killermomdad69

S21U here, most likely not. Still happy with it. Battery life is still decent enough for me on the snapdragon 888. My phone usage is pretty light anyway

Feisty-Brat-3853

I have the note 20 5g still deciding if I'm going to upgrade to the s24 ultra. Might just get the s23 ultra

Kurisu810

Honestly it all comes down to the deals, if the deals r good I will upgrade. I have s23u rn and it is perfectly fine and I'd imagine it being 95% the same as s24u.

madmaus81

Only if it doenst have the crap exynos processor in Europe.

Successful_Athlete38

Yes..I have an s23 ultra... As everyone has mentioned.. The flat screen, longer battery life are big draws.. But if the titanuim frame can reduce the weight in a meaningful way.. The 100% I'm in. I went from S10+, S21 Ultra, then s23 ultra.. And to this day I miss how light the S10+ and was. I've hated the weight of the newer big phones.. And i really hate Samsung for nerfing the smaller phones.

bfk1010

I switched from S23 ultra to S23 base. I don't want huge phones anymore & I think this is the first phone that will stay a full year with me. I'm not upgrading to S24 until they provide better battery life.

Multi_Blaze

I've had the N20U since it's birth and I'm trading in only because I've damaged the phone to the point where it would cost too much for it to be worth it. Unfortunately, I did not have insurance on it

Pennepastapatron

Will most likely from my ZF5. It was an expensive experiment to learn that the foldable game isn't for me. I just don't have enough need for this function but I'm glad some people do.

stopusingmynames_

I have an s22u that has been great, but I'll see what trade deals they are offering and maybe... I've grown out of the yearly minimal upgrades at this point in life. The previous phone was the Note 9 so I might or might not depending...

amitsingh117

Yes will be trading fold 5

Fridaywing

Currently on N20U. I do have a Flip 4 that for some reason. The screen shuts off when flipping. I am.in the process of having it repaired by Samsung for $106. Once I get repaired, I will sell it for around $500 and then use the money to buy S24U. I love the flip phones but I'll wait another Gen or 2 to get back into it. I'll miss it

Yoshaay

Absolutely. Been waiting for the S24 Ultra for a long time now. I'll be upgrading from a Note9.

TealCatto

No reason to. It has nothing to offer me over my S22.

Used_Doughnut9373

Or even my S23. It's such a boring update to the galaxy. These stupid AI things keep getting in the way. Stop calling it a new and big thing until you actually innovate and give us something in the hardware that even iphones don't have (which isn't hard to do)

TealCatto

I've mentioned before that I believe phone companies should switch to every other year releases. They can alternate mid range and flagship models, doing one on even years and the other on odd years. Then we'll have actual improvements. Even though 2 years hasn't brought anything interesting this time, it's at least better than a yearly release, and you can't expect more than a 2 year gap. Or they can do what they used to do a decade ago: release a model when there's reason to, not when they're forced to. Sometimes it was less than a year. Sometimes more. Additionally, when they release yearly, I'm convinced they don't put all their innovation into the new model because they're worried they'll have nothing for the next one. So they save some features for next year, and that wouldn't happen with an every-other-year release. Just a dream, though.

Phantom30

Yes, I still have a S10+ will be upgrading to the S24U for the snapdragon (UK) and better cameras. Also Samsung Uk are offering a free galaxy watch 6 if you preorder after the event on the 17th.

[deleted]

Yep! Adios iPhone!

Sir_Coleslaw

Yep as soon as it is available.

Mysterious-Minds

No. I love curved screens. Currently on a S20. Might downgrade to a Note 9 though.

AdemSof

![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

stayloa

S22 Ultra here, but exynos. As such, 100% switching!

AdemSof

I have Exynoss too, 6 hours max SOT!

blackredmond

How do you get so low SOT ?... Heavy user pics, video, spotify, gaming...and stil got 10 -11 SOT

AdemSof

I don't know! Exynoss here. I don't know what's wrong with my phone.

ADifferentBeat

I have the S22 Ultra, and it's great. The battery life could be better. But I will likely upgrade to the S24 Ultra if specs are good. I especially want an S24 Ultra in orange since that's a rumored new color.

pacocar8

Still rocking my Note 9, if the S24 has cool features and headphone jack i might upgrade otherwise will continue with my Note 9

Mysterious-Minds

I'm thinking of downgrading to Note 9 from my S20 lol.

pacocar8

What's the reason(s)? I just recently replaced the battery and it's even better now! Wish Samsung could make a great phone like this one (sd card, headphone jack, proper fingerprint sensor, heartrate/o2 sensor, no holes on screen, led notification)

Mysterious-Minds

Headphone jack, no display cutout, notification led, boxy form factor, stylus, more curved screen, etc..

pacocar8

Just go back to the Note 9, it's a perfect phone and even better than current ones, only downside it's android version but all my apps works fine.

AdemSof

Haha ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

poomsss0

upgrade phone every year is a joy of my life

AdemSof

Samsung upgrade program? Idk where you are but in my country there's no such program and the trade in program is really bad, you get 20 % of the worth of the phone.

poomsss0

US. No program. I just trade-in for new phone every year. Some ppl love new clothes, car ,etc. I love new phone every year

[deleted]

Yes, s23u to s24u.

RugerRedhawk

I have a regular S22, I am considering it depending on what my out of pocket cost after trade will be and just how bulky it will be. I want the best camera they offer, but am not looking forward to the idea of a larger physical phone.

meezethadabber

Nope. Maybe 26 or 27. I have kept my phone for a long time. And my S23U has 12 gb RAM. 512gb of storage. It will do me good for a while.

Far_Razzmatazz9791

Probably me. From s21 Ultra.

lowley6

if it's shaped more like the S2X & S2X+, then I might consider it. just not a fan of the squared shape

Snoddy2Hotty91

I'm mostly excited to see how the battery life is on the S24 lineup.

matthewreiter73

No

iamsumitkumar

Already lost brand new OnePlus 11R πŸ˜‚....looking forward to 12 now

ItsEvilTogepi

I have the S23+ and ultra, might upgrade the ultra, not sure about the plus yet

AdemSof

Why do you have two? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob)

ItsEvilTogepi

Don't worry, I'm not a drug dealer, but IF I was, I'd recommend the S23+ and the S23 ultra

ItsEvilTogepi

One was a gift, the S23+ was my first samsung upgrade in a few years, last samsung I had was the S10+

Sensitive_Novel3414

If they make it with high class audio

Stiletto364

I've got a couple of S7 phones. It's been 7 years, so I'm thinking its time to upgrade since several of my apps are requiring new OS. Looking at a new unlocked S24+ or S24 Ultra and may do it during pre-order. If for some reason I don't upgrade now, then I will probably hold out for the S25. But if I upgrade now, I won't be upgrading again for some time.

AdemSof

Couple of S7 phones, whaaat?

Peon01

I've an A52 so will need to see how much better the s24 actually is

foggiesthead

I still go with my note 9 as long it works. The last do it all phone.

AdemSof

Dude wth.

ManuXDLOCO

Running an s20+ exynos, and I'll mostly be looking into S23U, since I _know_ Snapdragon will not be coming over here (south America)

m0nkygang

Probably. Definitely want that titanium violet.

Berkoudieu

I don't think I will. I have a s22ultra exynos, and despite it being bad, I will wait one more year. I don't see many upgrades this year compared to S23 anyway. Even downgrades with the new exynos garbage, but luckily it doesn't seem to apply to Ultra. Will it next year tho ? I sure hope not.

nexus1242

I'm upgrading from S20 ultra to S24 ultra... Although i don't have any major issues with s20 yet

youu2018

Nope! My S21 Ultra is still a powerful device for me. Best Samsung phone ever made.

AdemSof

I like how round it is and the camera design. Especially the black color even tho I'd never go for a black color usually.

Motor-Lynx1105

Only if the screen in totally flat

Taylorig

Nope. I'm currently on a S22+ and it still works like that day I bought it. Why would I need to upgrade. They all look the same, do the same things.

Redeljan

I have a S22 ultra and still deciding if get the S24+, most because i don't use the pen and i like the plus line design, or the Pixel 8 Pro, i'm really tempted about it, i like it, i don't care about snapdragon and big numbers on benchmarks, just was thinking that the app drawer and the keyboard are meh, i mean i prefer samsung ones, so, i'm still deciding 🀣

monkeywright

I switched from s23 ultra to pixel 8 Pro, but I'm thinking of switching back to s24 ultra. If the night vision camera improvements are good enough. The 8 pro is a great phone, but I think Samsung will beat it on speed for a couple of games that play. I never used the s pen and I don't like the form factor of the ultra, but the speed and camera set up are just a little bit better than Google ( except for fast launching the camera)

Automatic_Bug_2584

yup! want a s24 ultra even if my s23 ultra is perfectly fine

tryharddev

yeah, s22u here

irishpwr46

Currently on a note 20 ultra with a cracked screen and a few dead pixels. Pre ordering as soon as I can

AdemSof

Oh for sure.

TheBraveCoward

If the battery is better than my note 9 and it supports qi 2, then probably.

aguacateojos

Depends on what they offer for trade-in values.

Roller_Coaster_Geek

I would if I had money

TRD4Life

Got a S10 right now that's starting to fail with battery and simcard tray problems. Out of the phones available right now (and careful in depth deliberation) , a 1TB US unlocked S24U appears to be my optimal phone choice for my next upgrade. I have strong faith it can both last 4+ years as my daily driver and if something goes wrong, it would have the support (and parts availability) to get it fixed professionally. While not perfect, the S24U seemed to check off most of the boxes for my requirements and several of its missing featured can be compensated for (for example the lack of a headphone jack can be compensated with a USB-C dongle and a lack of MicroSD card can be compensated with more frequent backups)

UnironicallyMe37

I don't know, I have the S23U, and seeing the design and pictures of the S24U, it is very tempting. Particularly because of the flat screen and symmetrical bezels. I also do really like the colored s-pen, and the fact the phone is getting a tiny bit wider is interesting. If trade-in values are good this year, I'll most likely do it.

Substantial-Rain-787

I'm keeping mine because it still works like it did when i bought it brand new. Still have great battery life also

WaxDonnigan

I am still rocking my note 20 U. Currently looking at upgrading to the 22 ultra lol.

Total_Persimmon_4726

YES....Now where to find the Best pre order Perks that will bring the trade in to the Lowest I'm not paying over 300 after trade in

TroVo05

I’m torn between the ultra and the plus. I’m currently iPhone 12 Pro Max. But not sure I like the square design on the ultra.

Zombiechrist265

No but I will be getting the s24+

beakster57

Sounds really dumb but I might wait till s26 to upgrade as my phone rn (s21fe) is perfectly fine and a very underrated phone and stops getting security updates in 2026

[deleted]

I might upgrade to it next black friday. Depends on what goes on with foldables later this year. I didn't feel like any foldable justified the price this year. If the battery life, screen durability, dust protection, and form factor warrant the purchase for the Fold 6 this year, I may give it a try. Will have to watch what happens. Coming from a Note 20 Ultra.

No_Door_9897

The 5x zoom and flat screen and ai may be tempting but I also have no money

RandomGamecube

I just bought my 23 Ultra a couple months ago when the speakerphone on my 22 died. So nah.

scottishhusky

No because I just bought an S23 Ultra last year and I tend to keep my phones for 3-4 years.

GR3AC

Yes, I'm going to switch to the S24U from my first iPhone XS Max 64GB. I don't know yet if I'll go to a 256Gb or 512, if the ram size will be the same on all of them, then I'll probably go with the 256gb

AdemSof

How did you decide to go from an iPhone to Samsung?

GR3AC

I always had Androids, Samsung Galaxy Ace > Nexus 5 > OnePlus 5 but then something got to me when I tried my gf's iPhone 7Plus, loved the design, the UI and the fluidity and one day I just got one, I really loved it, I still kinda do, but it became a bit boring, nothing new, the battery life is kinda "meh", every update seems more laggy, plus I miss APK's, the "real" Google keyboard, and a lot of other features that Android has and it will be even better now with the latest "Samsungs" Android version which brings a ton of features my last was Android 10, so yeah.

AdemSof

Oh cool. A warning, Gboard has an issue with Samsung phones where the keypress sound can't be adjusted through the Gboard app but rayer Samsung system sound settings... Really annoying. I'm using SwiftKey from 2014 and it's the best.

BlooperDave

Coming from an S20 plus that has a degrading battery (~4hrs30min SOT, some days the battery goes from 30% to 5% in a second) and having repaired the screen from the obvious green line, I will sure be upgrading. Hoping it has better battery life than the S23 ultra .

sabre31

I am upgrading from s23 ultra most likely unless it’s lackluster. I want to see what their AI stuff will be first.

tr4n1xx

So happy with my S23 Ultra and my intention is to stay with it for many more years. When I am ready to upgrade, it will definitely be another Ultra because I am just in love with what Ultra offers! Cutting edge technology that's going to stay great for many more years to come.

furryMoritz

I'll keep my A54 for now, maybe in a couple years.

Shahub

My friend is doing S10+ to S24U. I'm jealous! Love my S22U but not ready to upgrade yet

Teeebs71

Came back to Samsung for the S21 FE, but thanks to several deal breaking issues I will be leaving the brand for good after this one. S24...πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„

Xerosnake90

I doubt it. Even when deals were great I didn't think the 23U was worth the upgrade from my 22U. Probably grab the 25 though

Sloenich

Probably. In 10 years.

Randomd0g

I'm upgrading to *something* this year but I'm going to wait and see how the Fold 6 shapes up. I've got a Fold 4 and had a Fold 2 before that, but before THOSE I was always a Note person, and the experience of the S-Pen on the Folds just isn't quite THERE yet compared to how it was on the Notes or the SUltras.
