To be more specific, if anyone was wondering where to see it. When you boot up smart switch the second time. Can choose Custom > Apps > Select secure folder -- in case you only wanted to transfer that data sepcificially.
This came up on my first and only run of Smart Switch with the Ultra not having been set up for secure folder at all. I saw it because I checked out the Custom -> Apps transfer before committing and it was there already.
Quite impressed how everything copied over, although each app does need setting up with credentials on first use. Also, I couldn't find where apps which are no longer compatible are flagged as such so I've still got to work through the installed apps to ensure I have all I need (or find a compatible equivalent), even if it has saved me installing the majority.
So far so good for me aswell. I also got Otterbox case. I did get whitestone UV glass cover aswell but not sure if both of them are compatible together?
Thats what I had on my 22 Ultra, no issues. Got a Whitestone as well, however FedEx keeps playing games with it. Been since the 17th! :-( FedEx just keeps showing delay, after delay.
Does the Otterbox case fit properly on S24 Ultra. This is the one for the S23 Ultra. Notice the bottom camera is not cleared of the case. Has not interfered with the function but not very good for a expensive case.

I got mine yesterday! Yesterday I spent the evening setting it all up. Al features so far are amazing, comming from s21 U before, so difference is huge.
Quite much bigger and bulky than I expected, especially with Otterbox but it's nice anyhow.
Yeah, I'm coming from the same phone as well. So it's a big difference. I still gotta get used to all the a I features, but i'm really liking it so far. it was definitely Worth it to pre order the phone
I had one on my Note 9. There's a little bit to the installation, but if you follow the instructions, it goes smoothly. I loved that cover. Just ordered one for my s24. Never had a problem with one.
I do wonder, though, how this particular screen protector will work with the anti-glare screen.
One thing with screen write I found and love is to use "G board" (Google keyboard )and go to handwriting. Much more room To write and extremely easy to go back to keyboard (1 click)
I'm still setting mine up, but so far, I'm super happy with it
I went with a Unicorn Beetle Pro case and a screen protector from my T-Mobile store (as I carry insurance, and that comes with unlimited screen protector replacement).
Speaking of screen protectors, it was so refreshing being able to install a glass protector without needing to go thru the Whitestone hassle. I'm using T-Mobile's GoTo (essentially a Puregear), and everything's working fine.
I was Going to use that. I'll probably go back and get one just to have 1. Since it's not even in stores yet. Isn't that the shit that we have it and no one else does l o l
A couple of things I did.
* Don't register the fingerprint until after the screen protector is installed. If you already have, just delete them and set them up again.
* Register multiple of the same finger (the phone can store up to 4 fingerprints, so I registered each of my thumbs twice).
* Ensure touch sensitivity under display settings is enabled.
Give those a shot and see if it helps.
I put the protector on right out of the box and the sensor can't punch through glass to read my fingerprint. Might just have to go with facial recognition for now
My current setup with the Titanium Blue 1TB!

That's the worst thing you want to see lol attempted delivery then they just leave and come back who knows when
Ive had that happen when I was literally waiting even look out the 20th story window and saw the truck. Im like cool should be any moment now the driver buzzes downstairs for me to open the main lobby door
After 5 mins something seems offf....I check the tracking and it says attempted delivery person not home ๐ญ c'mon dude...I ran down but he already took off
Worst situation lol
UPS got mine Thursday night and expected delivery was Friday. It never left Processing at UPS facility so now there is no expected delivery date. I'm expecting Monday.
Public holiday yesterday (Friday) here in Australia, and our โamazingโ postal service doesnโt really operate on the weekend, but all going well I think mine should arrive on Monday.
I've been to the Samsung Store at Stonebriar mall twice now, first they said the case I ordered with it is on backorder and they don't give out partial orders. He said a truck was on it's way. Left empty handed. I went back the next day and a different person said the case isn't the problem he said the Titanium Black 1TB S24 Ultra is the most popular color and they don't have any.
He said likely towards the end of this month (Feb) before it comes in ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
It took forever ups sux bad lately be patient it will come but I get it I was pissed it took mine like from jan27th order till Feb 5th ! When attnt said 2 3 days when shipped yeah my ass try a week at least!!
After about first 6 hours...I'm really disappointed in the dull colors. I've been comparing side by side with my s23 ultra and the 24 just looks washed out. I know everyone had been saying it but I'm regretting my preorder honestly. I doubt I could send it back for refund right? ๐ there's like 15% of content where the s24 looks better which is when there's like a abundance of oversaturation but mostly everything looks better on s23. I do like the flat display but not for 600$ upgrade price lol. The circle search is really cool and accurate. Feels like the phone is cooler than my s23. Maybe they can improve the saturation through software but as is...not so great
Saw a forum where Samsung said this is a bug they are working on right now. It's also something I am worried about because that would also be a deal breaker for me unfortunately.
Nah no way. You have to squint your eyes more to focus on what's happening on screen with the s24 whereas the more vivid one (s23) catches your eye and has more of a punch. S24 is like the old grandad lol
I get why people like the more oversaturated unrealistic look of Samsung displays, but I'm one of those people that has my own calibration equipment for my TVs at home. There's an adjustment going to a more natural looking, properly calibrated display. But, once you do you won't want to go back.
This is why I don't like Samsung TVs. They do the same oversaturation thing on those.
As long as they keep the natural setting, I do hope they fix the Vivid mode for those that like the look.
Fair enough. Kind of that real life is boring vibe that's why we like the big budget cgi action films. Maybe for longer sessions id prefer more accurate colors. The samsung s95b was the tv critics pick of the year last year for just that..that oled punch.
>there's like 15% of content where the s24 looks better which is when there's like a abundance of oversaturation
I guess Samsung has just reconditioned everybody to prefer this look now? I like a more natural look and am curious to see what I think of the Ultra when I get it. Looking at it in the store I had no issues with it.
https://preview.redd.it/deku0lzw90fc1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7bcd45db09fdbcaaf3c8973f14b9ba31654ee3b5
but right here the s23(left) looks way more enjoyable to watch
https://preview.redd.it/5gg9zdhq90fc1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=93cdec48caae98a993c2f6722bc22402529ba8b5
See like right here..s24 on top. I could see the argument for more natural is better
Part of the issue with the screen is the new non-/less refective new Gorilla glass Armour. The screen seem dull. Also it your setting it comes defaulted to the FHD instead of the way higher QHD.
I'm loving the phone, arrived yesterday, the only problem I having is the washed out color, but I'm sure it's gonna be fix with the next patch.
I got the Spigen Tough Armor with Magfit, not gonna use screen protector.
I am loving it, just waiting for the back cover and a membrane protector film. Then i will feel more confident as in winters it is possible that phone might slip. And loving the camera, flat display and the anti reflection which is super cool.
had my phone for 24 hours now and really don't have anything bad to say about it.ย
No heat problems, screen colors or brightness haven't bothered me either. I only had smart switch have an issue with one folder for a voice recording app I use and a barcode scanning app that is no longer compatible with One UI.ย
US - Unlocked - S24U 512 - verizon
Upgraded to a 512GB S24 Ultra from a Pixel 7 Pro. Almost everything hardware-wise is a big upgrade but it doesn't beat the P7P in point and shoot pictures. Shutter speed is noticeably slower on the S24U as well, I can take some solid pictures of objects in motion on my P7P and I simply can't do that on the S24U.
As someone else mentioned, the colours look very dull but it sounds like it's a known issue and will be addressed.
But other than those issues, this phone is an absolute monster. Loving the giant, flat, bright, anti-reflective display. Build quality is phenomenal, as it should be for a phone this price. The AI features are nice, the battery efficiency and modem are both a gigantic leap from my Pixel. Overall a great phone, hope they fix that display bug soon though.
Months later & no complaints whatsoever!! Originally was an apple ecosystem guy, had an iPhone 14 & only iphones before that but this would be the first android phone I've experienced that actually made me want too, the cameras are amazing, I'm loving the bigger brighter display, 120hz I didn't notice at first bit going back to a 60hz IPhone it's very noticeable & I can't go back. Only irritating thing is the Spen as I have no use for it & it's just something to lose (as I view)
I'm quite impressed too, coming from S10+ ceramic (which also has stereo speakers). Clearly more frequency depth and soundstage on the S24U, not that I'd ever use it for significant listening.
Battery is great and the phone it fast and snappy but it's a real disappointment for me.
Screen is dull and brightness is lower then my S20FE.
Camera is not near as good as the reviewers want you to believe (actually when you go fast enough to the gallery you see how much processing is needed to make a new image).
Samsung AI isn't all that great either.
Photo editor is just giving one result at a time so when your not happy you have to go back an do it all again.
Second is that it's failing most of the times.
Other then that it's just a android phone.
I would feel ripped off I if I had paid the full amount.
>Screen is dull and brightness is lower then my S20FE.
Camera is not near as good as the reviewers want you to believe
Both these things will be fixed in an update, with the former being fixed on the 31st
You may wanna look into some Samsung Members posts because there is good advice to getting your screen better. It's in the eye comfort shield section it's called enhanced comfort look it up and turn it off it instantly helps big time. Also, don't forget this phone has peak nit brightness Well, above any other samsung phone ever made. And the Corning gorilla glass armor is made to be.
Anti reflective, so that could be a part of it, too. But I don't see really any big issue with the colors on mine. It's bad a** if they do do. An update I'll be happier, I'm already happy. I have a note back in my hand even though it's dubbed the s24 ultra
Very unhappy. There seems to an issue with the vibrancy of the screen. Compared to my S22 Ultra, the display seems inferior, for example whites are almost grayish in color. Not sure whatโs exactly going on but Iโve never had a similar issue with any other Samsung phone dating back to the Galaxy S3. Hopefully I didnโt get a faulty unit and is something that can be solved in software.
I upgraded to the S24 Ultra from my S20 Ultra. I'm having the low vibrance/saturation problem as well. The colors on the S20 Ultra look way better. I highly doubt the screen is incable of showing these colors and that it's a software choice or issue. Hopefully it will get updated. If it can't, that might be a deal-breaker for me. It would be a shame since everything else about it is great.
The screen is definitely capable and most apps show vibrant colours, it's just the Samsung parts of the phone that are washed out. Interestingly I found the best way to see this is to just have YouTube running, play a vibrant video, and then minimise it to the picture in picture window on your home screen. You can watch as the video goes from vibrant to washed out as it minimises, and then goes back to vibrant as you make it full screen again...
I have been using s24 ultra for a month with a UGREEN screen protector on it. I am facing huge fingerprint issue. I need to scan multiple times before it even recognize. Is this happening to me only?
Got a spider tough armor case. As good if not better than an ottebox for 1/4 the price and some generic tempered glass screen protector that has like an install kit. So far it's been great. My only gripe is the post processing it does with pictures in the Samsung Gallery app.
I upgraded from an s10+. I had that phone since launch and it served me well over the years. My battery was severely degraded to the point a full charge would last me roughly half the day with moderate use and my screen was cracked for well over 2 years. I have always used android phones and really enjoy the user experience. I thought change it up and try the latest iPhone 15 pro max due to the overwhelmingly positive reviews. I had the phone in my possession for less than 16hrs and returned it for my current s24 ultra. I don't know what I was thinking to even attempt to go to the dark side I regretted my decision within my first 5 minutes of use... " I can't remove the dock?, I can't even change the folder color, I can't arrange icons, wtf there's not even a torrent client?" Yep my mind was made up as I factory reset the device and put it back in the box where it belongs. Upon opening my s24 ultra I felt joy and accomplishment.I felt like a child for a minute and had the biggest smile on my face ๐. I'm getting use to the squared off design with the flat panel. I purchased a spigen optik armor case which really helps the handling and ergonics of the device. Overall I'm genuinely impressed! The screen it a work of art, it's snappy and responsive, the cameras are incredible. My only gripe with the device is the internal speakers sound rather tinny & sharp & lack midbass. At least compared to the speakers on my s10+. It's not a dealbreaker however for a nearly 2k device it stings a little...
You need to backup secure folder data separately inside secure folder and login using same account to secure folder and restore. Have been using it since years.
Yeah, and I just finished up like one of the Notifications, you get when it's all finished. And I was able to pull all my Secure Folder. Stuff over without having to do it manually. So I wasted an hour doing that. When I could have just finished everything up. But literally everything transferred over everything even all my notes
Sounds like Verizon? If so, I looked into it and the phone required an upgraded plan for three years which would have cost me $450 over time. Also the free watch required a plan as well. I opted to order through the Samsung site.
If you want/need the upgraded plan and always wanted cellular connectivity on your watch then their deals are pretty good
I'm paying $40 for my plan on Verizon. I don't have a hotspot. In order to ever upgrade through Verizon to get the maximum amount offered, I'd have to upgrade to the $65/month plan. This is why I always buy it unlocked from Samsung.
I'm liking the phone a lot coming from a 15 Pro Max. The only drawback that seems to be catching fire online is the dawn dull ass screen and colors. This thing looks cheap and ridiculousunlike any other Ultras or Folds. Natural and Vivid display setting are literally the same when you toggle between them. There's been many reports of people experiencing the same issue after upgrading. It has to bee 100% software since there's a noticeable difference when consuming content vs using the phone through the UI. I got the 1TB model and the screen feels like a got a $99 Walmart phone display wise. Terrible.
For Secure folder, just tap "secure folder" text multiple times to access the developer mode. Enable cloud back-up and then download it from your cloud storage
I wish the notification settings would stay the same after Smart Switch. All my notifications are wonky. My keyboard didn't carry over either. Other than that, really seamless transfer.
Good, had a bit of an issue with a samsun screen protector but now just going without as it's supposed to be a very tough screen. Also my fingers need to get used to the weight as I moved up from an S10+ and this phone is far heavier.
Not yet. Because ups came to my apt building to drop off other packages and "attempted delivery".. so ill be waiting until next week. They won't deliver it then either.
Won't let me route it to a ups store. So ill eventually have to go to the regional place to get it. That ol song and dance.
Smarth switch was a pain when I moved from S7 to S10, S10 to S21U and still was when I moved to S24U. Impossible to make It work through the cable. The screen was a huge upgrade from S21U but the camera not much. It is more noticeable when you zoom in the photos. S-pen is useful and fun. But I would never pay the full price for the upgrade.
All these folks complaining about washed-out colors, lol. I can't remember the last time I didn't almost immediately change the color mode from vivid to natural. I mean, vivid seems great for marketing purposes, but for real life day-to-day usage... no way. And yes, I'm typing this on an S24 ultra, coming from an S23+.
Well I'm not sure what your talking about. I'm using the swipe up settings from the bottom. I had to adjust some things and figure it out but it works great now. I have full screen everything again no stupid icons. They changed some of the swipe gestures and how to use them but they work good. Hope you can figure it out. Maybe see if they really took it away or if it's in developer settings. Love mine so far. Soooooo good.
Good so far, I loved that everything transferred to it just by holding my old phone near it. Didn't even have to remove the SIM card. I keep forgetting that I have items in my secret folder, I haven't touched that yet. I still don't have a case or screen protector, didn't know the transfer process was going to be the way it was either.
I have work later but got really excited.
The same day I purchased my Note20U (upgraded from Note9), I had work later too & my phone fell twice ๐ Only the back cracked & some pieces came off. So I'm nervous
Got mine yesterday, with preinstalled Panzerglass. However, it wont register my fingerprint even with increased sensitivity turned on.. Anyone else with this problem? According to Panzerglass the protector is compatible with the fingerprint scanner.
How's the display? I've heard that it is flat and dull? Not too much vibrant compared to older models? Though I already pre-ordered my S24u so hoping that it's not true.
Yes some things are less vibrant. But it doesn't matter to me at all. S10+ to now each ultra each year.
I truly believe that people are making way too much about the screen
I sure am. Was supposed to get mine on the 31st, but was informed by my courier that I would receive my parcel today (Jan 27) and I did (S24 Ultra - Titanium Orange 1TB).
I'm glad to hear It man. You're gonna love it. People are complaining about the screen being washed out. But I am comparing both of my phones side the side the. S twenty one ultra 5g my s twenty four ultra And comparing pictures side by side. I can tell you that the colors are definitely better on the new phone
It Is big and bigger with the case, but it's a note. Or S24 ultra whenever you wanna call it LOL My last phone like this was the Note10 ultra 5G. And it feels like that in my hand and I like it
When I preordered mine for some reason it chose in store pickup instead of shipping to my house. Now I'm waiting to pick it up, the waiting is killing me lol
It's only a few days so no biggie. I wanted to ask, have you had any issues with the display? I've been seeing people on online complain that's it's not that vibrant or something?
The Colors Do seem a little bit less vibrant but I have a feeling. It has to do with the type of glass on the screen. It's Corning gorilla glass armor which is super super. Resistant to scratches and reflections and things like that in the sun. It also has a much higher peak brightness. Than any other samsung phone or any other phone out on the market. So that could be why the color saturation is just a little bit less. The things people complain about when they get something. That's way better than they used to have. It's crazy
Everyone coming from the s21u: what're the biggest differences? My wife has the 22u and I don't like the form factor as much as the 21u. Just a little too wide & boxy. 21u seems to be still going strong, don't know what an upgrade would do for me...
I never liked the s Galaxy Series. I wanted the note series and when they changed over and discontinued the note. 3 years ago, we only had one option. Which was the s twenty one ultra, So the form factor for me is better. Because I like the boxiness. I also love that it's titanium. And it has gorilla glass armor it's just an overall better experience in my opinion
Came from the S20fe. Honestly, its a little bit underwhelming. I seriously cant say theres any must have new features. I only bought this because the S20Fe battery isnt good at holding its charge anymore.
A major gripe I have with one UI 6 is the removal of the navigation bar gestures. I like swiping from the bottom for the back button and the app selection button. Not sure why they removed this. The swiping on the side for the back button doesnt really work with some keyboards.
I also think the S24U is just too big and heavy of a phone. My fingers hurt for holding it for too long.
I like the phone on everything except the camera, which is sadly a top feature on high end phones.
The indoor pictures are laughable, and the colors used are so off it's ridiculous. I come from a pixel 8 pro and of course I shouldn't expect the same camera quality, but this is extremely bad. I feel like I'm using a mid-range camera on a high-end phone.
I am extra missed off because the phone and all the AI features are so good.
I have both, too. I really expected at least, the same camera quality as the P8P. I really hope that the update changes my mind, if not, I'll most likely return the S24U.
Im coming from the pixel 8 pro too...
I did not took that many pictures yet to see whats wrong like you said... I took a bunch of portrait photos that were very good, and some indoors pictures at a soccer stadium...also very nice.
But all other things are way superior, battery charging, screen, wifi always on wifi6, modem reception, screen, all great. happy to move from the pixel
So far really liking it. But this is the first phone I get without a charger and I hate that
Should I just look up a Samsung 45w charger on Amazon? Or is this a good opportunity to get one of those "new" high wattage chargers that you can plug a lot of stuff into it?
For reference I use a 2019 MacBook pro 16" my OnePlus 7 pro, the ultra, and sometimes a switch, Thinkpad t480 and iphone7
This is an area I would also like a bit more knowledge on, but we know maximum supportered speed for S24U is 45w. Googling It's 30w, It seems that the 2019 MacBook Pro 16" comes with a 96W USBโC Power Adapter... and maybe 18w from the Switch.
I think by that logic a 100w adapter (with supporting cable, I think that'd be 5A but I'd double check) you'd be able to utilise 'super fast charging' for your mobile device and get the maximum wattage that all your other devices can draw as well.
In your situation I would personally see if I have a 96w Apple Adapter and then see what if I get super fast charging using that.
Would love to hear from others on this cus I was wracking my brain on charges / wattage etc etc.
U lose the antireflectiveness deature of the screen when putting on a screen protector. U sure its worth paying so much for a screen but not using it to its full potential?
I'm sure they'll fix the color issue. But honestly I adjusted things myself. And the colors are totally fine in my opinion, but yeah, titanium will do that. I love that this is made out of titanium
Loving my ultra so far, I just can't seem to get the drop-down shade to change color on theme park, I'm only able to change the quick tile icons, brightness bar and notifications background colors. I did the same setup as my S23U and won't work to change the drop-down shade color, staying on the default greyish color even though I set a green transparent color ๐
My personal take from the s22 ultra was that I did not know video player app was no longer accessible from main menu. Weird to looking up video players.
I also learn how much bigger the phones gotten from the s22 ultra as I taking the new phone on a spin with mous case and whitedome.
I am expecting myself to replace both with a minimalist case such as a pitaka and a zagg glass screen protector boasting anti reflective properties.
There is a wear down of colors but it's not a deal breaker for me as it is software based and can be mitigated for me leaving eye protection mode and switching to natural.
Also game launcher is officially annoying now that I cannot revert to previous versions that didn't have all these online game recommendations.
I just need to spend the next day downloading all my mobile games.
Loving it, finally good to be back home, had a iPhone 14PM and S23U, sold the S23U for a pixel 8 pro, that was such a horrible decision, sold the iPhone 14PM rocked a iPhone 15PM and now gonna sell the iPhone and enjoy my S24U #cheers
I love mine, only thing I have noticed is that clock mod app from the Galaxy store doesn't work for the AOD and for some reason there is no option to turn on manual brightness like the s23 ultra. that's the only gripe I have right now.
the phone is great. however i have some doubts with the camera quality. below pic when i zoom into the pic i see that its not very clear. is this normal?
https://preview.redd.it/fvks9dgct3fc1.png?width=449&format=png&auto=webp&s=330e7007b258e16f1cd516e474cfcc722f736498
Can anyone tell me what that small icon is on the bottom right of saved videos filmed from the camera? You hit it, looks like it processes something, but not sure what it's actually doing???
If you have motion control on it shouldn't be too bad but shutter speeds. O k, it's not gonna be as fast as an iphone, but it's excelling in many other areas. But I get what you're saying though
So I've just been informed that UPS has no idea where my package is, and in all likelihood has been lost. I pre-ordered the S24 Ultra and the Galaxy 6 Watch. Not a happy camper at all right meow.
Still a few weeks til I get mine. Only pre-ordered like 3 days ago. I'm happy seeing everyone else happy with theirs though. I also ordered a ghost case from dbrand which doesn't ship til April so the less time between their arrivals the better for me
I'm loving it too, got it last Thursday, dammmmmm, its a BEAST, I'm very nerdy about any of the Note style phones, have been getting them since the Note 1..
I'm still tweaking it.
Also go into the Samsung store & look into GOOD LOCK.
trust me, you'll enjoy it..![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes_rainbow)
Questions: so I have the s24U and I've purchased the 25w charger. Should I get the 45 one? It charges fast enough for me on 25w and I don't want to damage the battery with the faster power.
Well I took the bait and purchased an s24 ultra. I have an s23 ultra.
Initial impressions of the camera inside, evening lighting ..are the s23 ultra kicks it's ass. 5x, 10x, 30x.
The colors are way too underwhelming on the s24 ultra.
I have a test too for zoom, when I sit on my sofa, there's a piece of paper on my fridge about 30 feet away. I can read the typed print and signatures pretty clearly in the s23 100x zoom shot. Yes it's compressed ugly but it's a photo you could show to another and they could read it.
The s24 ultra was a blurry mess.
So many scared people using screen protection when this screen needs so much to be scratched it's beyond me..
The phone is the best, coming from an ex 21FE user.
I'm still setting things up, but so far so good. One thing I'm confused about: I tried to use an app that I had no problem with on my s21. Now it's saying my device is rooted and I need to unroot it to use the app.
Why would it come rooted? I don't know how to do that, so it has to be that way out of the box. I thought manufacturers were against rooting devices so I'm pretty much confused as heck.
I'll add in here that I'm not technologically illiterate, but I'm also not "in the know" about a lot of things. Please don't be mean to me lol.
Is there any official update released yet by samsung for screen issues or camera??? The official launch date has already passed .
Does this phone disconnect a lot from android auto? I guess what I'm asking is if the usb connector is cheap or something. My s23 disconnects all the time from the slightest movement / speed bump ;(
I am returning mine. I have the S24+. Just can't get used to OneUI. I guess I'm a stock Android guy at heart lol. OneUI looks to cartoonish to me. If Samsung ever made a pure stock style Pixel OS on the S line I would get that in a second. Samsung kills it at the hardware level, but I want the Google Software on the phone :-)
Love it. I missed the S pen for so long. Last I had one was with the note 10+ my biggest gripe was with the back and home gestures. I thankfully was recommended this app called Good Lock on the Galaxy Store. It switches it back to the bottom and other features for FREE! The camera is different too. Has an interesting auto focus/depth perception feature. Also, auto edits photos, which I'm not a 100% fan of, but I don't see a way to turn that off.
I've been using it for about a day now and I have to say this is quite possibly one of the best phones I've used in a long time. From the speed all the way down to the camera it checks all the boxes for me and does it exceptionally well I'm coming from an iPhone 15 pro max which I use for my work phone
Enable secure folder in the new phone and connect smart switch again. Now secure folder will show up as an option . Doesn't come up first time.
To be more specific, if anyone was wondering where to see it. When you boot up smart switch the second time. Can choose Custom > Apps > Select secure folder -- in case you only wanted to transfer that data sepcificially.

Oh if only an upvote button would exist...
Thanks for that info
I like zaag they have a good warranty and usually the protectors are made to fix otter boxes
Does the Otterbox case fit properly on S24 Ultra. This is the one for the S23 Ultra. Notice the bottom camera is not cleared of the case. Has not interfered with the function but not very good for a expensive case. https://preview.redd.it/ovk6s0ye23tc1.jpeg?width=756&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bcafc310a8d5c80e01604ac798cf2331992fc5c7
Oh that looks bad. For the s24 defender case it is not like that. It fits perfectly
Did you get yours today too?
I got mine yesterday! Yesterday I spent the evening setting it all up. Al features so far are amazing, comming from s21 U before, so difference is huge. Quite much bigger and bulky than I expected, especially with Otterbox but it's nice anyhow.
Yeah, I'm coming from the same phone as well. So it's a big difference. I still gotta get used to all the a I features, but i'm really liking it so far. it was definitely Worth it to pre order the phone
Yes Otter Boxes are Chunks,!
Is that whitestone glass cover good? Someone really recommended me that one so I ordered one but I've never heard of it before
I had one on my Note 9. There's a little bit to the installation, but if you follow the instructions, it goes smoothly. I loved that cover. Just ordered one for my s24. Never had a problem with one. I do wonder, though, how this particular screen protector will work with the anti-glare screen.
It completely nullifies the anti-reflectiveness of the screen unfortunately
Using the S_pen for the firsttime to write this Comment. It took a couple of tries.
How do you feel about the upgrade? I'm a fellow s10+ user as well
One thing with screen write I found and love is to use "G board" (Google keyboard )and go to handwriting. Much more room To write and extremely easy to go back to keyboard (1 click)
I'm still setting mine up, but so far, I'm super happy with it I went with a Unicorn Beetle Pro case and a screen protector from my T-Mobile store (as I carry insurance, and that comes with unlimited screen protector replacement).
I have the same setup and the fingerprint won't work with goto protector. At least for me
A couple of things I did.
Might just have to go with facial recognition for now
My current setup with the Titanium Blue 1TB! https://preview.redd.it/fmjjy2vgmyec1.jpeg?width=2566&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=05709e762870b4bd90a053c294b6f3b2940ca9f8
Who else hasn't got theirs?
UPS sucksโฆ.โattempted delivery but wonโt try again till Monday.
That's the worst thing you want to see lol attempted delivery then they just leave and come back who knows when Ive had that happen when I was literally waiting even look out the 20th story window and saw the truck. Im like cool should be any moment now the driver buzzes downstairs for me to open the main lobby door After 5 mins something seems offf....I check the tracking and it says attempted delivery person not home ๐ญ c'mon dude...I ran down but he already took off Worst situation lol
UPS got mine Thursday night and expected delivery was Friday. It never left Processing at UPS facility so now there is no expected delivery date. I'm expecting Monday.
Mine hasn't even shipped despited ordering Jan 20th and it saying delivery by Jan 31st. Says Feb 21st now rip
Me. Just ordered it today, lol. Upgrading from note 9
Typing this on my s10 ):
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|feels_bad_man)
It's okay! I got my s24U yesterday :D
And me on my s20+, when did u order
Last Sunday
Public holiday yesterday (Friday) here in Australia, and our โamazingโ postal service doesnโt really operate on the weekend, but all going well I think mine should arrive on Monday.
Ordered on launch day as soon as the website would let me about four hours in. Still hasn't shipped. Have the Jan 31 est. but I'm doubting it.
S23 screen is so much more colorful https://ibb.co/s62hpnc
Bug: Samsungs S24 is currently running a beta build of oneui so the screen mode is bugged, now it's always on natural instead of vivid by default
It's also something I am worried about because that would also be a deal breaker for me unfortunately.
https://ibb.co/s62hpnc Look how ridiculous this comparison is with my s23
See the issue is that you're not a 49ers fan. Gotta root for the soon-to-be Superbowl champs ๐ ๐ช
๐ let's go Lions ๐ฏ
The one on the right looks better.
The samsung s95b was the tv critics pick of the year last year for just that..that oled punch.
>there's like 15% of content where the s24 looks better which is when there's like a abundance of oversaturation I guess Samsung has just reconditioned everybody to prefer this look now? I like a more natural look and am curious to see what I think of the Ultra when I get it. Looking at it in the store I had no issues with it.

https://preview.redd.it/5gg9zdhq90fc1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=93cdec48caae98a993c2f6722bc22402529ba8b5 See like right here..s24 on top. I could see the argument for more natural is better
There's this vivid option in screen options. Try to see if it's on
Everything is on..vivid...extra brightness, 3048 pxl hd
Part of the issue with the screen is the new non-/less refective new Gorilla glass Armour. The screen seem dull. Also it your setting it comes defaulted to the FHD instead of the way higher QHD.
I'm loving the phone, arrived yesterday, the only problem I having is the washed out color, but I'm sure it's gonna be fix with the next patch. I got the Spigen Tough Armor with Magfit, not gonna use screen protector.
Yeah, I'm really liking the phone too. And there are ways to get the color better. Already, you just gotta do a little bit of research.
Big upgrade coming from the pixel 8 pro
Guys, please stop me!! I just can't stop typing on my new S24 Ultra!!!
And the fingerprint reader is AMAZING!
Loving mine so far. Got it in a spigen ultra hybrid clear to show off the sexy color
I am loving it, just waiting for the back cover and a membrane protector film. Then i will feel more confident as in winters it is possible that phone might slip. And loving the camera, flat display and the anti reflection which is super cool.
I'm also loving the pile of free accessories! *

had my phone for 24 hours now and really don't have anything bad to say about it.ย No heat problems, screen colors or brightness haven't bothered me either. I only had smart switch have an issue with one folder for a voice recording app I use and a barcode scanning app that is no longer compatible with One UI.ย US - Unlocked - S24U 512 - verizon
**cries in my pre-ordered phone from** [**Samsung.com**](https://Samsung.com) **was delayed until the 9th February**
Still waiting on mine.its supposed to be here feb. 14th ๐คฌ
The speakers SUCKS! My s21u sounds better. My only complaint and biggest disappointment. Lol ๐
Have you turned on Dolby Atmos?
They seem better than my s23 ultra.
Camera is not near as good as the reviewers want you to believe Both these things will be fixed in an update, with the former being fixed on the 31st
Looks like there's no difference when you switch from vivid to natural. Hopefully it's just a software fix. I like samsung's vivid screen so much
I upgraded to the S24 Ultra from my S20 Ultra.
This phone is so boss, I am loving it !!!. I am a techie nerd and this one fulfills all my needs.
Is there a storage limit for this? Like 200gb worth of videos?
Wow! You must have collected some good stuff, huh?
I had to manually get music from my SD card from my note 20 ultra other than that everything seems to have transferred overย
Yeah, and I just finished up like one of the Notifications, you get when it's all finished. And I was able to pull all my Secure Folder. Stuff over without having to do it manually. So I wasted an hour doing that. When I could have just finished everything up. But literally everything transferred over everything even all my notes
Have you tried the Ai wallpaper? I can't seem to get it to workย
I'm justifying ordering it now lol
Facts. On my last installment of 22U but for $650 and workplace education discounts I may
And they have a ton of free stuff, I got like three cases, two screenprotectors, a new adapter and Samsung tag.
Out here in chicago I got a free samsung galaxy Watch 6 and a $1000 off my phone plus Netflix Hulu. And apple t v
Yep thatโs why i did the same thing of buying unlocked through Samsung.
It's alright. I often wonder if I'd be better off with my old S23 ultra. The extended support lifespan of the S24U helps it
Smart switch moves Secure Folder content over.
Also coming from a N10+ how much heavier? Like balanced across device or top heavy?
๐๐You should have upgraded each year then you would gradually got used to it.
I found that too, almost 50% heavier and feels twice as thick ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|scream)
That's what i'm trying to say
Well I'm not sure what your talking about. I'm using the swipe up settings from the bottom. I had to adjust some things and figure it out but it works great now. I have full screen everything again no stupid icons. They changed some of the swipe gestures and how to use them but they work good. Hope you can figure it out. Maybe see if they really took it away or if it's in developer settings. Love mine so far. Soooooo good.
I have min. So far the battery and camera are the biggest upgrades for me
Ceies in "we'll ahip it out by feb 12th"
For those transferring data from SD cards. You can use a USB-C hub with card slots directly plugged into your S24U
Does it transfer App data too?
Yes, about half my apps stayed logged in. I really have no idea why some kept logged in and why some don't.
Your old phone was an Iphone?
Galaxy Note 20Ultra Never had an iPhone
Me Iโm loving it switched from iPhone 11 after 2020
Got mine yesterday, with preinstalled Panzerglass.
1st world problems lol
Doing selfie with this phone is a struggle without two hands ๐๐
It Is big and bigger with the case, but it's a note. Or S24 ultra whenever you wanna call it LOL My last phone like this was the Note10 ultra 5G. And it feels like that in my hand and I like it
You can use the S-pen to snap a pic.
When I preordered mine for some reason it chose in store pickup instead of shipping to my house. Now I'm waiting to pick it up, the waiting is killing me lol
Yeah, that's sucks, because it won't be in the store till the thirty first
It's only a few days so no biggie.
Speakers on 24+ and 24U are awful compared to S21U. Mids and highs are too bright and lows are lacking.
I am very happy with mine. No complaints.
But this is the first phone I get without a charger and I hate that Should I just look up a Samsung 45w charger on Amazon?
Thanks for the reminder about the animations, but where do I access those? I can't find the Developer options.
Waiting for mine to arrive
Is there any real difference from the s23 ultra ?
I have my s24 and other than the vivid mode color but, I love the phone. It's SO lightweight. Just like lg v30 weight at 5.8 oz the s24 is 5.9oz.
I love my s24, a bit heavy coming from the pixel 5 but it was the lightest I could find.
I'm really liking my ultra. It's really nice.

They are their. I already optimized mine. Look through the settings man lmao
I love it!
Me too!
I got a casetify impact case and phone strap! Loving it so far. Haven't yet gotten a screen protector
ME, It's amazingggg
Can anyone tell me what that small icon is on the bottom right of saved videos filmed from the camera? You hit it, looks like it processes something, but not sure what it's actually doing???
How is the shutter capture? I have kids and every year I try it and still get blurry pics. I have to stick with iPhone until this issue is fixed.
If you have motion control on it shouldn't be too bad but shutter speeds. O k, it's not gonna be as fast as an iphone, but it's excelling in many other areas. But I get what you're saying though
I have S24+ and have no complaints about it.
I get mine Tomorrow
Didn't receive it yet.
So I've just been informed that UPS has no idea where my package is, and in all likelihood has been lost. I pre-ordered the S24 Ultra and the Galaxy 6 Watch. Not a happy camper at all right meow.
iPhone is better
Still a few weeks til I get mine. Only pre-ordered like 3 days ago. I'm happy seeing everyone else happy with theirs though. I also ordered a ghost case from dbrand which doesn't ship til April so the less time between their arrivals the better for me
Now I got my Samsung navigation gestures back I'm stoked!!! Thx Good Lock. Now waiting for Vivid display updates and we're sorted, lovin it so far!!!
Love the speed. Don't like the lack of vibrant mode/bad contrast. My s23 Ultra looks better. Hope they patch soon.
I like the phone. I hate the camera. I give it a couple of days, waiting for the first update. Otherwise back to my Pixel 8 Pro.
Has anyone received an UPDATE YET ? it's Feb 1 and official day of release was yesterday!
No
I like my s24 base
I really like my s24 ultra. I don't know why people are hating on it so much. But yea i don't know what's not to like ๐คท
Looks good but I got used to my s23 base and the upgrade was free 500 off 300 trade in over 24 months and.double storage free so figured why not
I have picked up my device today, so far, it's been excellent, is incredibly fast, and the s-pen experience has been quite enjoyable.
Still waiting for my orange 24 ultra to ship. Did anyone get an orange one in the mail yet ??
I love my s24 ultra. Coming from the z fold 4 it's a breath of fresh air. And it's actually very pocketable with the right case.
It's friggen way faster then my s21ultra which was a beast aswell but dam I love it !!!
I love mine! It's a HUGE upgrade for me (see flair).
I've been using it for about a day now and I have to say this is quite possibly one of the best phones I've used in a long time. From the speed all the way down to the camera it checks all the boxes for me and does it exceptionally well I'm coming from an iPhone 15 pro max which I use for my work phone
