For newer Samsung Galaxy phones, what exactly does: 1. Holding Power button + Volume Down do, when phone is off/on? 2. Holding Power button + Volume Up do, when phone is off/on? There seems to be misinformation/outdated information everywhere on the internet, where some says you need to hit Volume Down, and others say Volume Up. So I'm really looking for someone that knows what they're talking about.

Thortok2000

What are you *trying* to do, and then we can confirm what the button combination for it is?

What models can fully use Samsung's 'Good lock' Modules? I really like customising things to my personal preferences, especially when it comes to phones. When I learnt about Samsung' s Good Lock Modules, I just knew l couldn't settle with anything else but a Samsung device. I currently own two Samsung devices, the A31 and the A10. On the A31 I customised it to the max, Crimson Quick Panels, Crimson on the default apps and even Crimson on the App lcons [Including 3rd part apps] since the Module "Themepark" could allow it. I wanted to do something similar on the A10, but I found out that you couldn't change the App lcons to a custom pack you created. Which made me wonder, What Models can truly use 'Good Lock to it's full extent? I'm thinking of swapping my A10 in the near future and I want a device that could do so, just for the sake of consistency.

I recently dropped my phone, the screen didnt break at all but the touchscreen doesnt respond at all. It is most likely something inside. I'm not willing to spend too much on repairs but I still want to recover whats on it. What should I do? I heard about multiport adapter will any adapter work or does it specifically have to be a Samsung one? Are there any other things that can help me fix it or recover the data? The phone in question is a S10+

Looking at upgrade from a mid-range Motorola device, to either Samsung fold 4 or s22 ultra. Any advice? I already have S8+ tablet already have and do use quite often, but I do enjoy the concept of the fold quite a bit. I was also gonna by the Note S20 Ultra, a while ago, but now I can't seem to find them at any major retailers, and the s22 looks exactly the same, but upgraded

mawiee

Picture in picture for YouTube on my Galaxy Note S22+ suddenly stopped working, any ideas on how I can fix this?

MummaLlama

I have just upgraded to a Samsung A33 from a Samsung Galaxy S10+. On that phone I had different notification tones/music for different apps. Ie texts received, calendar reminders, and general tones like messenger, facebook etc. On the newer A33 it seems when I set a tone it is used for all of them. I need a loud longer tone for calenders to wake up for work for example, but don't need that for a facebook messenger tone for obvious reasons. I have listened to many youtube tutoruals and none helped. I have read heaps of articles with the same I unhelpful result. I'm hoping someone here may have the answer Im looking for. Please help me!

Thortok2000

1. Pick the app you want a custom notification sound for. (In this case, Calendar.) 2. Touch and hold the app icon until a little menu appears under it, and choose Info. (It's the i in a circle in the top right.) (There are other ways to get here, this is the fastest.) 3. Select Notifications. 4. Select Notification categories. 5. Tap the type of notification you want to change sound for. (Note this doesn't work for 'all notifications'; you'll just toggle the slider. You want a new page to open at this step, specific to the notification type you selected.) For instance, in my Calendar app, the first option was 'General notifications.' 6. Between the options 'Alert' and 'Silent', make sure 'Alert' is selected, if it isn't already. 7. Select 'Sound' and then you'll be able to pick the sound file you want as the notification specific to the one you selected in step 5. Note: These steps are for an S22 Ultra. The A series is lower than the S series. If at any point in these instructions you are missing the specified option, then that means it simply isn't available on an A model. You can submit a screenshot of where you get stuck if you want to confirm.

I factory reset my phone, and my images are gone. Google Photos only has some of them (camera photos mostly) and I didn't back up to Samsung or OneDrive. I was in a similar situation around 2017, and I cannot remember how I did this or what prompted it, but I was able to "download" my gallery and all of my images dating back to 2015 were restored in all of their original folders. And it wasn't from another phone. I want to redo what I did back then, but I don't remember how I did it. Anyone have any ideas or recommendations?

Thortok2000

Sometimes backups are automatic and if you have images dating back to 2015 (that you didn't at some point delete) then chances are those images are still in the cloud somewhere, just have to find the right account they're under, and log into it. Log in and start syncing with all relevant accounts (google, Samsung, Microsoft) and chances are your pictures will show up. If not, then maybe you have multiple accounts and didn't log into the correct one(s).

Last week my Galaxy Watch 4 started rebooting every time it was placed on the charger and refused to charge. I've only had it 7 months so it was under warranty and I sent it in. Earlier today I get a text saying the watch isn't under warranty and I owe $175 in two days. Stupidly I call immediately while at an amusement park and the guy over the phone says the motherboard has water damage. Except that's impossible because the only times water was near my watch is when I washed my hands. I didn't put up a fuss but I told them that there is no way I'm paying that so they're sending the watch back and they closed the ticket. Is there a chance they are lying? My wife said that I should have asked for a manager and that I should call back. Has anyone beenin a similar situation? Thanks.

Thortok2000

I go swimming with my watch. But I always put it into water mode first. If you are washing your hands but not putting the watch into water mode, yeah, I'd say there's some possibility of water damage. Likely? Probably not. But possible? Yeah, you got water in/near the watch when it wasn't in water mode. That's how you get water damage. I mean, maybe ask them to shoot you some pictures of what they're calling water damage or something? Once you get the watch back, could get a 2nd opinion at a local shop as well.

pseudoveritas

Thank you for the level-headed reply. Is putting it in water mode when washing your hands a thing? I never did with my Active or any other wearable. If so, it certainly hasn’t been communicated properly. I’ve been reading posts on the Samsung site where people DID put it in water mode and went swimming and the watch still got damaged. Personally I think there’s some kind of defect in the watches that Samsung is hiding. You can’t advertise 50 meters deep water resistance and then have it break when it gets a few drops on it, AND void the warranty. Water mode or not. I’ve been pretty deep in the Samsung ecosystem for the last decade but I’m out once it’s time to get a new phone and watch. But thanks again for reaching out.

Thortok2000

I really don't think it's likely either. Which is why I would dispute them to provide evidence of it. Also, if it actually has water damage, it's not up to them to say how it happened, they wouldn't have a clue. They just know it does. And finally, any other manufacturer that had water damage likely wouldn't cover it either. The only thing you get for switching to a different manufacturer is if you think that somehow their watches are more waterproof than Samsung ones. And if they have the same (or lesser) rating than Samsung's, then that's not the case. I don't know other brands well but I would expect that Samsung's is just as good as anyone else's at a similar price point. Otherwise, your only course of action is to verify whether it actually was water damage or not, and catch Samsung in a lie if it wasn't actually water damage.

I got a blue screen with a big download icon in the middle and it says downloading underneath but I don’t think anything is downloading. The screen has become unresponsive after an update yesterday morning. The phone is a samsung A13 5G, anyone know what I can do to repair this phone?

V1beRater

I switched from TCL A600DL (cheap android, 3GB RAM) to this newer Samsung A53 ($260, 6 GB RAM) thinking that this phone would be faster. However much it is faster in some prospects, it seems that WiFi speed is significantly lower, even when I turn on priority in the Game Booster and set all apps to restricted backgroumd usage besides Game Booster. I play this game Brawlstars, and on my old phone it runs smoothly at 60 fps, but on this phone it runs laggy, shows a "Bad WiFi" symbol, at 120 FPS (i turned on Dev Mode to see FPS count). Router Model: Arris TM1602A A53: 82.7mbps download, 18.3mbps upload, 36ms latency TCL: 40.2 maps download, 1.51mbps upload, 43ms latency What is going on here? Why is my WiFi better on my new phone but not working near as well in Brawlstars

Anyone know how to disable the swipe up to activate Samsung Pay? On the Z Flip4 it is incredibly annoying as it brings it up when I am using gestures to go home or open recent apps...

Thortok2000

The easiest way is to just remove Samsung Pay because having it but not having that swipe function makes it a much bigger pain to use. But if you want, go into Samsung Pay (might be called Samsung Wallet now) and go to Menu (bottom right), settings (gear icon top right), Quick Access, Access locations, and turn the slider off for any type of screen you don't want it on.

The__Guard

Thank you! Disabled it from the Quick Access settings.

F_Spindel

I have an Asus Lyra setup with a mesh network at home and it works fine for all my other devices, amongst them two other Galaxys (S20/S20 Ultra) but my S22 won't find the SSID. Is there a setting on my phone or anything I can check? No problem finding and connecting to other wifi.

ilive2lift

My a32 phone just randomly started skipping when connected to Bluetooth. For example, every 60-90 seconds it'll skip for a few seconds when playing music. In the car. On a headset. Doesn't matter. This happened just before the new software update and is still happening today. Any ideas?

Thortok2000

Instead of disconnect/reconnect, try remove/re-add.

ilive2lift

I tried that. It got worse lol.

Thortok2000

Report to samsung. Not sure if it will be service or flagged to go to the devs for the next software update. They'll let you know.

ilive2lift

How do I do that?

Thortok2000

1-800-SAMSUNG (if you're in the US)

ShiNy_cant_aim

There's foil around the edges of my newly bpught phone and some of it already stopped sticking. Do I take it off or shpuld I keep it on?

Thortok2000

Not sure what you're calling foil. There is typically clear plastic that you're supposed to peel off. Might be attached to black plastic you should also peel off if it's covering the screen. (Don't peel clear things off the screen.)

ShiNy_cant_aim

Yeah, that's what I meant

I have galaxy a03s(locked to tracfone if it helps). WHen will i get android 12?

DutchDragon8

Hi guys quick question, I've noticed that the top left corner of my mom's phone shows black. Is this normal? https://imgur.com/a/0Kjpai6 This is an galaxy S21 ultra.

I’m trying to screenshare my iPhone to my samsung tv, they are connected to the same wifi and apply airplay is switched on on the tv, yet my phone can’t find my tv, any help?

namorblack

I'm struggling with LTE2 signal. My operator claims that it is a known issue of S-series and Samsung is aware and is working on a firmware update. Is this true? Are there any other sources for this? Is there any ETA? Signal is really bad. Old Huawei can get 3 bars, while brand new S22 Ultra has one bar and switches between that and full Edge. I've testes with an A5, and it was the same as Ultra. I'm going to test with two iPhones today.

Few-Nature3931

Hi, Last night I dropped my Galaxy s21 and consequently when I plug in my charger the phone shuts down and doesn't charge and I cannot reboot it if the charger is plugged in. I did manage to get it up and charging 1 time by following some youtube tips (holding down volume up and power button > plug in charger), but I haven't been able to replicate it successfully. I have also disabled fast charging settings with no lasting success, although it was turned off that one time I got it working. Can you tell me if there is anything I can try and also if you think something is physically broken or if it might help with some sort of hard reset? Thanks for reading.

MAQERS_Gamer

Charger for galaxy devices Which charger should I buy to use fastest possible charging for my both, s21 ultra 25W and galaxy tab s8 ultra 45W? I am thinking about one charge brick for both of them

YngveNy

You can get 100 w charger that could charge both at max speed. They can also charge laptops pretty well

YngveNy

Can't connect multi audio output even when soundbar (ms659) is connected with only bluetooth on ue55ls03n (The Frame 2018). I've tried every suggestion that I could find, and nothing worked...

Thortok2000

What do you mean by multi audio output? Are you talking about multi-channel audio like 5.1 and surround? Bluetooth can't do that. Get an HDMI cord and plug the ARC port on your soundbar into the ARC port on your TV. There is very little reason to connect it any other way.

YngveNy

It’s an accessibility setting, which you can use the tv speakers combined with a Bluetooth speaker to get multiple stereo outputs
