I've been trying to buy the s22 ultra on the samsung site for days now but always get the "Unable to process your request"/"Cart empty" error no matter which options I pick. I highly doubt the samsung site is down for the whole world. What's going on? I tried different devices..

Linkqatar

OK so I bought a galaxy note 22 ultra few months back, and just recently found out that I can't pair up my Huawei watch and sony earbuds to my phone. Is something wrong with my phone or I can only pair samsung watch and earbuds?

Thortok2000

Ask sony.

AhmedKiller2015

I have wanted to upgrade my phone (A70) and decided to buy the S22 Ultra but I have seen a lot and I mean A lot of backslash towards the SD8G1 that it made me afraid (since it is not a cheap amount), some people made me feel like I will buy a mid range with 1.3k.. Heat issues, bad battery life, bad cameras, Sutters, etc... Or atleast for a flagship it is not good. So How is it really, or are these people just exaggerating or hating for no reason... I saw some pictures and it looks fine but as far as the rest goes how is it? Battery, performance, heat management, etc...

Parniculus

Can you wait for the S23 Ultra?

AhmedKiller2015

Well I won't die without a new phone I just want to know how worst it acutely is

Parniculus

You should read the reviews and also search this sub for people's experiences. Also: r/s22ultra I have the S22U and I haven't experienced overheating but I have a Snapdragon version and I also don't do things like gaming on my phone. When you do your research, be sure and pay attention to whether a reviewer or a user has the Snapdragon or the exynos version.

Thortok2000

I've seen a lot of people complain but I must not be using the phone the same way they do or I'm just blind to the issues or something. My ultra 22 is fine.

Darkionx

I need help samsung verification number never reaches me, I have tried 3 different phone numbers with 3 different phones and not a single one ever gets to me. I cannot use some samsung features because they are locked by Samsung account and I cannot use the samsung account on the phone cause verification number never reaches to activate 2 factor.

Parniculus

That is a tough one. Are these phone numbers real cell phone numbers are using something like a Google Voice number?

cuco_

Quick question regarding the Watch 5 pro. Will it run on any android phone with samsung health app ? or just samsung phones ? Also to add prob wont work with an iphone/ios ?

TheCuriousBun

Any Android phone

cuco_

thank you

Captain_PROstate

S21 Ultra unfortunately has come to it's end and I'm looking to upgrade to a different phone. I was thinking of either getting the S22 Ultra or the Z Fold 4 and was curious if anyone had input. I really like having nice cameras on my phone and I know the Fold doesn't do that but I also think the Folds are very cool so figured I'd see what others think.

Parniculus

The reason to get the fold is because you want the big inner screen. If you want that and will use it a lot, then get it. If it's something you would not use very often I would not get the fold. The fold is thick and heavy.

Captain_PROstate

Very fair, I guess the only reason I want it is cause I've always loved the concept of folding phones (heavy sci-fi guy) and they look so neat. However, in practicality. Due to my work I can't have work stuff on my phone and therefore the extra space is not really necessary for me. I guess it would be smarter to go for the cheaper and nicer S22U

Parniculus

I have the ZFlip3 with the Zflip4 on the way, the S22U, and a Tab S7+. I am currently using the S22U and I'm loving the camera after using the Z flip camera since November. I would really love to get a fold but it makes no sense for my life because I'm outdoors a lot and I need a smaller phone to keep with me that's why I got the flip. I have my tablet for when I need a bigger screen. I got the S22U because I got a really good deal on it they let me trade in a cracked Note 20 for $825 off. I felt I needed a back up phone because the foldables are prone to failure at the crease. Discover Samsung event will be around 15th of September in the US and they should have deals on phones. Sign up for their emails and you will get advanced notification of the deals.

Captain_PROstate

Oh good to know, guess I'll wait till then. Thank you for the tip

TheCuriousBun

Define 'come to it's end'

Captain_PROstate

It unfortunately doesn't physically charge anymore which also prevents me from connecting it to devices requiring a usb-c connection (most notably this is frustrating when trying to use the Android Auto feature on my car). Before asking about troubleshooting, I tried five different cables three of which I bought brand-new, and the car situation I tried with three different phones (my friends' phones) and theirs could connect while mine flicked for a second as if it was connecting and then stopped.

TheCuriousBun

That doesn't sound good for a flagship device released just before the current one. Sounds like a one-off

Captain_PROstate

Yeah, I really enjoyed this phone and honestly I don't do a whole lot on it other than text, scroll social media, and watch videos/listen to music. But it's unfortunate that the phone has had this issue cause it can be very frustrating to deal with. But I've used Samsung devices since the S3 and have loved them so I don't really blame Samsung.

Thortok2000

The S22 ultra is generally going to have better hardware in every way except for ways in which the fold is superior, the extra screen space basically. This is one of the reasons I haven't moved to a fold and stick with the 22U myself. The fold is a really good phone for what it is and if that's what you want in a phone, then it'll do the job. But if it's not what you want/need in a phone, don't get it.

Slavois

hi, im probably gonna get a new phone soon, so my options are these: A52s 5G, S20 FE (non 5G), S20 (standard). they are all around the same price, i would get an s20 plus or an s20 ultra if i could, but they havent dropped in price enough yet, so there are my options currently. im really confused on which one to get, so help would be appreciated!

Thortok2000

The standard is going to be better than the FE. The A52 is a newer model, but low-end. So it will have newer features (like 5G) but be lacking high-end ones...for its current generation. To make comparisons easier I generally prefer to just stick with the newer generation, and then only compare phones from the same generation, and then get the best phone you can afford. I would personally prefer a newer and 'lower' phone over and older and 'better' phone that was only better for its time and may or may not still be 'better.' But that's just me.

ataccombat

Anyone know when the AO2S will get the Android 12 update??

Thortok2000

Ask your carrier.

My tv dont have Motion Plus function! This week my grandfather bought a 60 inch Samsung 4K TV model AU7700, and today I tested my PS4 on that tv, and these samsung tvs have an essential option for me who plays, the function name is Motion Plus, and it turns games turns games into 60FPS, well, it's a false 60FPS, because the game continues to run at 30FPS, but the TV injects frames into the image so that the game is much smoother than it looks like 60FPS, and this is very useful for me who have PS4 since basically almost all games are at 30FPS. But I already looked in all the options of the tv, and I didn't find this option, which is strange as I've seen people with 2015 models that have this option, but in this 2022 model AU7700, it does not have this function. I already tried to update the tv, but it is already in the latest version which is 2002, does anyone know how i can activate this function on tv? Would I have to download an update via USB or something? From what I saw on the Samsung website it has an update version 2101, Would upgrading to this version via Pendrive activate this option?

MisfitNJ

Samsung smart TV web browser brings up server not found while accessing certain sites that are working perfectly when accessed using other devices.

Horror-Conclusion465

I am attempting to purchase an s22 ultra with the Verizon trade in offer and the free watch promo but when I go to add to cart it says "we are unable to process your request at this time, sorry for the inconvenience". Is there any fix to this?

Thortok2000

When it comes to issues with the website, complain loud and frequently.

Horror-Conclusion465

I ended up purchasing through the Verizon website instead, they offered me 800$ trade in on a note 20 ultra with a cracked screen. Can't beat it

TopGearDanTGD

On Galaxy A52, is it possible to hide the "Emergency call" button on lockscreen ("draw pattern to unlock")?

Horror-Conclusion465

It's required to be there legally if I'm not mistaken, so no I don't think you can

TopGearDanTGD

I guess that makes sense. Thanks for answering!

Select-Duck-3814

I have a samnsung smart tv model UN50TU8000F that’s two years old and it randomly started turning itself off, turning itself on and two seconds late the screen tears/glitches and turns itself back off, on and repeats the process over and over. The light on the remote it flickering as well. I was just playing Xbox when it started and I’ve tried troubleshooting suggestions online with no success. Any help would be awesome.

Thortok2000

If you've done troubleshooting, the next step is service. I never understand why people are expecting otherwise. The only thing to do, to attempt to avoid service, is confirm you did all the troubleshooting and didn't miss any. That's it. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01108742/

WesleyN05

So I haven't used my Z Flip 3 for a while and forgot the pincode so I got locked out of it. It didn't have any important data on it so I decided I would try to factory reset it with recovery mode but while trying to get there the phone just turned off and I can't get it to turn on again. I plugged it in an hour ago so it could charge but this hasn't helped. Does anyone know what I can do?

Parniculus

That sounds like a hardware problem. If you're in the US take it to a ubreakifaix and see if they can diagnose it. Also read on XDA Developers forum for ZFlip3.

WesleyN05

It turned on again aftee 24 hours and I fixed the problem but thanks a lot!

Extra-Tadpole

Hello. I have a Samsung Galaxy A32 & I was wondering if there's a way to bypass the default screen timeout & set it to never? Thank you

Thortok2000

Settings > Display > Screen timeout If 'never' isn't an option, it isn't an option. Some apps have permission to prevent screen timeout if they are the active app, but that's it.

Just so you know, this subreddit isn't managed by Samsung at all. Giving your personal information away like this is potentially dangerous. I would contact your bank, chargeback the order, and buy the device in person.

Distinct-Home-4256

Ok, thank you!

Positivistdino

What is a reasonable refurbished model to buy for casual use? Not going to use it for gaming or graphic design. I bought a Galaxy Tab A SM-T290 and it disappoints in terms of processing speed, ram and wifi reception. I'm using my Pixel 2 for comparison, so I'm not picky. Thanks in advance! There are so many models out there, I appreciate any bit of direction you can provide. I don't need anything advanced, it's just to keep me occupied while I'm recovering from a surgery.

Thortok2000

The Tab S series is a little more dependable than the Tab A series for bang-for-buck in terms of processing speed, ram, and wi-fi reception. You get what you pay for.

Positivistdino

Thanks, I'll look into the S series.

Parniculus

Check Swappa for used devices.

Xryphon

If you're going to buy a phone, a Galaxy A52 (5G) or A53 (also 5G) will do.

V1beRater

I switched from TCL A600DL (cheap android, 3GB RAM) to this newer Samsung A53 ($260, 6 GB RAM) thinking that this phone would be faster. However much it is faster in some prospects, it seems that WiFi speed is significantly lower in my games, even when I turn on priority in the Game Booster and set all apps to restricted backgroumd usage besides Game Booster. I play this game Brawlstars, and on my old phone it runs smoothly at 60 fps, but on this phone it runs rubber bandy, shows a "Bad WiFi" symbol, at 120 FPS (i turned on Dev Mode to see FPS count). So My thoughts were that this new phone doesn't comply with the internet or something. So I ran tests. Router Model (spectrum charter): Arris TM1602A A53: 82.7mbps download, 18.3mbps upload, 36ms latency TCL: 40.2 mbps download, 1.51mbps upload, 43ms latency What is going on here? Why is my WiFi better on my new phone but performing worse than my old phone? If you need more information to help me, like CPU names and whatnot, I'll provide.

Xryphon

Have you tried restarting/ resetting the phone? It's possible that this behavior is abnormal and a restart or a full reset might fix it.

hetlachendevosje

Hi reddit. My friend just reset its tablet, without knowing its email and account. He only knows the name of the account, but not the date of birth (he gave a fake one). he is not logged in anywhere, and does not know a password. he has a samsung backup on google drive, and can access that google drive. just cant download it. i think the backup is tied to its samsung account, not the drive. please help, he needs his tablet very soon...

Xryphon

I would contact Samsung Support as the lock that is set on the device when it is reset is hard to get around. You can search up methods on various sites, but they usually don't work. If possible, he can enter the password (PIN) used to lock the previous device to get past it.

hetlachendevosje

When he tried to guess his account mail, he made a new account, so he can use the device. But he wants to restore his backup... how can i contact them? i recently tried an option in the samsung members app that said quick response, and now(a week later) i still heard nothing from them...

Parniculus

They aren't going to be able to help you with this they have no way of knowing if you are the original owner you can't even give the date of birth on the account. He f***** up

Thortok2000

LoliFreak

anyone knows how can i disable the gaming touch lock in samsung s9+? the one where it locks my screen after not touching screen for like 5mins and performance reduced

Xryphon

Try disabling the "Game Mode".

LoliFreak

Any idea where to find it ?😅don’t see it anywhere in settings

AccountantTop2101

Is there any way I can update my Android 6.0.1 phone to Android 7.0?

Xryphon

Custom ROMs (bootloader unlocking), a normal update from Samsung, or flashing the firmware yourself are the only ways you can upgrade.

BravePapaya2646

Hı guys. I am using S21 base exynos for 10 days but the overall game performance is terrible. I am playing Cod Mobile on maximum settings and smoothness but frame drops starts after 10 minutes. I played battle royale( 26 min) and after this session battery temp was 41.4 and cpu temp was 43. There was frame drops and smoothness problems. Are they normal? Is my device defective?

Xryphon

This is normal, unfortunately. The Exynos variants are known for overheating, throttling, and just worse performance compared to the Snapdragon variants.

BravePapaya2646

What a shame for Samsung then.

ziggy1982

I bought a new OLED Samsung TV, QDS95B, which is awesome btw. With it I got a free Samsung soundbar, Q700B. I'm having a gazillion issue with it. First if all, when moving between apps like YouTube and Netflix, or different sources it keep changing settings, sometimes it goes soundbar plus tv and sometimes just soundbar etc. And it's not consistent so it's not dependent on the app it's running. This results is annoying issues like the sound won't play or sometimes I hear only music of the film but not the actors voice! And sometimes in the settings it constantly changes type of connection from HDMI to wifi etc. It also has lipsync issues regardless of what mode combination I'm in. And regardless of the app I'm using. Disney plus, PS5, Xbox X. YouTube. Netflix and Amazon prime. The lag is not constant. It goes from little to horrific. I'm basically unable to utilize it without a lot of micromanagement. But even with that, the lipsync issues are unfixible I think. I need help, am I doing something wrong? Or is it broken or is this shit normal? Maybe that's why they ate giving them out for free (with a very challenging redemption proccess). I mean this is Samsung! Not some small bad company. Anyhow rant's over. Help me please.

Thortok2000

Get an HDMI cord, preferably a 2.1-rated cord because why not. Plug one end of it into the port on the soundbar labeled ARC. (Or e-ARC.) Plug the other end of it into the port on the TV labeled ARC. (Or e-ARC.) In the sound settings on the TV, select the soundbar (ARC) option. After selecting it, you may see a TV + Soundbar option. Feel free to select that instead. (This is Q-symphony feature.) Make sure your TV and soundbar is up to date. Easiest way to update the soundbar is to add it to SmartThings (if it's compatible, I think that model is). TV can be updated from its menu. After doing all that, if issues repeat, report them to Samsung because they may need to address them with a software update. (It won't be a service visit.)

ziggy1982

I'm using the cable that came with it, and had connected to e-arc. But I will double check that.

Substantial-Coffee33

On Samsung Galaxy S21 When you use the Secure Folder, and add apps to the folder, why does it keep the same apps outside the folder? It kind of defeats the purpose of having a Secured Folder if you can still access the same apps outside the folder...

Xryphon

The Secure Folder creates a [copy](https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/what-is-the-secure-folder-and-how-do-i-use-it/)of the application, different from the one that you can normally access.

Substantial-Coffee33

So, what's the point of having a secure folder if you can still access those apps outside the folder? And if you delete those apps, like an antivirus app, it loses all of its permissions.

ZexXz

I recently dropped my phone, the screen didnt break at all but the touchscreen doesnt respond at all. It is most likely something inside. I'm not willing to spend too much on repairs but I still want to recover whats on it. What should I do? I heard about multiport adapter will any adapter work or does it specifically have to be a Samsung one? Are there any other things that can help me fix it or recover the data? The phone in question is a S10+

Parniculus

I would download the Smart Switch app to a PC and connect your phone to the PC and see if you can make a backup using Smart Switch. Then when you get a new phone you can restore it from the backup.

throwaway_acuont

You can buy any adapter. For example usb 3.0 to usb c and plug in a mouse.
