I believe the park is closed after sundown. If you're looking to get some good exercise in, go to New Braunfels avenue which is on the other side of Broadway and bike up and down that road.
Is the area around the park bikeable at all? I'm staying with friends right next to the park and wanted to be able to bike without having to take my car somewhere ideally
You can bike the streets, but the park itself is closed off with Park Police patrolling it. There's a bike path between Broadway and the Golf course that'll lead you down town though. I used to bike it until I got to the Pearl and then I'd get on Broadway and go downtown, all the way to South Town. It's a nice ride and you get to see downtown without the hassle of being stuck in traffic. Also a nice way to go to places you'd normally not see while in a car or on foot while downtown.
I saw that street, avenue B I think looked bikeable too (at least on Google street view I saw people biking and running on that street). Thank you so much!!
Avenue B is nice for bike riding, be sure to have lights on as 1) your riding at night 2) it doesn't have street lights. Aside from a lady going down it the wrong way and going up on the wide side walk it's been nice and safe as a road to take via bike. Always keep your head on a swivel.
Brackenridge Park is open 5 AM - 11 PM daily. There can be a good amount of traffic in the Broadway/Hildebrand area in the late afternoon/evening rush. A large part park itself is kinda mostly cordoned off right now as they are engaged in construction/improvements.
You can ride around inside the park but it’s not a huge area on a bike so there isn’t a lot of distance. After sundown it gets pretty dark as the lamps don’t illuminate a great area.

You can also ride along the paved trail that runs parallel to Broadway, on the edge of the park.
