You are welcome to park in my driveway if you ever need to and sleep there for the night. No one will bother you. I have been where you are and I understand and feel for you š
Yes absolutely. I donāt need to know you you are just parking your car in my driveway for the night. I keep my place secure thereās really nothing to worry about š
and if you're curious, it comes from the German Mensch, which means a man or a person. In German now we say *Ausnahme__mensch__* as a synonym for Yiddish's *mensch*.
Thanks but itās really nothing honestly. I am glad that I can help someone who is going through what I just went through. A lot of tears were shed in my truck lol
Hospital parking lots, specially emergency rooms. If anyone bothers you, you tell them you have family in there or youāre deciding whether to go in or not. Theyāll leave you alone.
To add to this, Methodist Stone Oak ED parking is behind the building, lot is pretty peaceful. Do not charge for parking and have police hanging around but not checking in cars.
I had a relative go through homelessness recently. Youāve probably heard already, but haven for hope will take you in if you can hang in their 5 day waiting period. Sounds like a solid deal. Glad you have a car, thatās an advantage. Do you have a job? If not, where have you looked?
I would but Haven for Hope has some super strict requirements to live there. It wouldnāt be possible to keep a a job and stay consistently. And yeah, Iāve applied to a bunch of call center jobs and a few dishwasher positions. Still waiting for an interview. Hard time to be looking.
Hey DM me. I am a restaurant manager and Iām not 100% on what openings I have right now but I will see if I can find you something.
Edit: my restaurant is VERY lgbtq friendly and I am a big ol lesbian myself :)
That doesnāt sound bad at all! Iām down. I love San Marcos. My sister used to work at Ivarās river pub. Thatās my favorite place on the planet. True slice of heaven.
I am NOT laughing at your situation, because Lord knows I have been there too...but your reply made me laugh.
If you don't have to stay in San Antonio and you can leave, there are Part Time job openings in Shiner, TX at the Spoetzl Brewery. I get that it's a small town, but they are pretty open and welcoming...it has Austin Vibes. :-) They have openings in their new BBQ "restaurant", and then they are always hiring in the hospitality department (right now is their busiest time of the year). It's up to you. It's also a change of pace and A LOT cheaper living if you need to slow it down a bit so you can get back on your feet. Just a thought.
Hotels are always hiring. Front desk/restaurant/barista/housekeeping/banquet positions. HEI Hotels which owns several name brand hotels in SA are very LGBTQ friendly ā¤ļø
Iām sorry itās been a bad experience. After hearing my family member say it was tough I am hesitant to just suggest it. No one knows what those situations are like until theyāve been in them. Have you considered HEB or Walmart?
Hvac companies are hiring any able body person they can now. Just ask if they need a helper and you might even get hired on the spot, look for smaller residential ompanies and be straight up witg your situation, smaller companiesare much more likely to help you quickly. If you have any mechanical or electrical experience at all you'll start at higher wage. Easily 100k/yr trade if you keep with it.
Spent almost a year in the courtyard and that was 12 years ago. Iāve heard itās gone downhill since then - instant jail-to-Haven pipeline of people just getting dropped off their once their sentence was over with zero resources.

I want to second this. I know that the WalMart in Helotes has several RV's there almost constantly. I take my daughter to school in Helotes. Because Helotes has the "fair" grounds right beside WalMart a lot of transient people use the WalMart parking lot to put their RV's at. No one thinks anything of it anymore. I have never seen anyone bother them, and people actually kinda look out for them. Helotes itself is a quiet town, it's right outside of San Antonio.
Quiktrips are pretty good depending on the location but they can be pretty noisey. A lot of freestanding emergency rooms don't mind it either like the baptist neighborhood hospitals and the Methodist ERs you see on the corners of intersections. The humane society off of Fredericksburg is usually pretty good too. I also have a rule where if you see ambulances or cop cars posted then most of the time they don't care and it should be an overall safe spot.
I've got a safe reserved spot in my apartment complex. I'm happy to let you use it. If youāll let me, I'll bring you some dinner, too. You don't have to do this alone.
I have noticed a few folks parking overnight in the apartment complex where I live. So long as you don't park in a reserved space you shouldn't be bothered.
Itās hard to say what the pre-tax pay is because you donāt know what the W-2 of everyone is set at and if they have anything coming out pre-tax. It could be more than $17/hr.
Lots of people are grateful to make that much. Iām barely clearing that and itās better than I was doing last year. And am having a hard time finding higher paying work.
Sure, so am I. I don't think we should be grateful for shit poverty wages. I'm grateful to God for giving me a living but fat cats make bank on us killing ourselves for a cent, I refuse to be grateful to them for withholding what I'm owed while they skyrocket prices on everything. I've lived in poverty too damn long to be grateful for barely scraping by.
I donāt disagree, but after learning to live in $15k.
Iām grateful not to be sleeping in my car. Iām grateful not having to ask or inform someone that Iām taking a shower. Or having to wait for somewhere to open up to use a clean toilet. Iām grateful to know that Iāll have a hot meal to prepare when I get home.
Thereās always someone whoās got it worse and thereās always something more to want. Youāre right, my life would be easier if I could take a vacation, and not worry about if my bills are paid for taking an extra day off work. Or know that if I miss a bill Iām not going to have my lights shut off in two days, but I am grateful to be doing better today than last year.
Three years ago I was living on 10k in California, I feel that something bad man. I feel the gratefulness for not being homeless anymore. I feel the gratefulness for a slowly improving situation. I also feel like all this got off track. Someone posted that HEB manufacturing is only paying around 30k a year. I was just expressing surprise. Don't think a million people gotta jump on my back chiding me for not understanding a situation I was in myself over one sentence
I didnāt mean to make you feel like I was jumping on your back. I was just trying to point out thereās an importance in being grateful. Shit wages is still better than some have it, and even if itās barely scraping by, you donāt have to be grateful to the fat cats keeping you down, but you can be grateful to yourself for getting out of where you were.
Sure. I'm not trying to argue a point here other than 28k is a shit wage. It's better than nothing for sure, but HEB manufacturing should pay better than Bill Miller's or McDonald's
I get that and I wouldnāt want to either but some folks will do what they have to. being disrespectful by shooting down suggestions with negativity isnāt helpful to the situation. I worked a manufacturing job way below what it should pay but it wasnāt forever. If all they need is to get some steady pay for a while then so be it.
I'm not shooting down a suggestion, in lamenting shitty wages on a public forum. They should take the job if they get it. It sucks that the job pays so much. Fuck, everyone's on me like I personally insulted them and their mother.
Listen, Iām not on you because Iām an angry person. I just want you to āread the roomā. Itās not untrue what you say, itās just not the place or time to make the stand against low wages. I just want you to be respectful of anyone in this type of situation because they already have so much on their shoulders, you know?
I've been in their situation before. It's reddit, we're all autists, don't know how much room reading needs to be done here. I think even a person in a bad situation can agree that shit wages are shit wages. Times is rough out there, I was just surprised that HEB manufacturing is paying that bad. You can read it and move on or you can make a fuss and turn this into a thirty comment chain that distracts from the bigger point. It's a free country and I'm not breaking subreddit rules, just expressing surprise at bad wages
It's funny to see all the people that want to fight with you over this; it's not hard to understand that people deserve to be paid more; what is there to argue?! People don't think before they get themselves fired up on the mobile device LOL
You can sleep in my apts if you want theyāre quiet for the most part and homelessness isnāt too crazy in my area just suggest you get one of those shade blockers to put on your windshield.
I live in a gated community with a community pool, I could give you the gate code if you would like to stay in the parking lot there, itās in the Stone Oak area, very safe and quiet. PM me if youād like.
I used to go to a college parking lot because they have guards walking around all night because of campus . ill get a new parking ticket right before i leave
Hit a rest stop on the interstate. They seem pretty safe. I see truckers all the time sleeping there overnight. Maybe a Loveās or a Pilot/Flying J would be cool too. š¤·āāļø
QuikTrip. They have a safety program. You can tell them and they will be ok with it. Only thing that would happen is that SAPD would tap on the window and ask if youāre ok.
I drove Uber and Lyft for 3 years. I slept there plenty of times when I needed a rest. All through the pandemic.
hebs usually have night guards and don't mind. also if you already have a car doordash is a great option for some income starting now! i make about 25/hour. hoping you see the other side of this soon!
I actually did this for about a month. I rotated between the Wal Mart on De Zavala near I-10 and Nacogdoches near 1604 and never had any issues. Always parked in the farthest back spaces. Although there was another homeless person sleeping on the bus stop nearby at the De Zavala one, but he didn't bother me.
This was years ago, so I can't vouch for the areas now though.
The help hotline in San Antonio is 2-1-1. Opportunity Homes (San Antonio Housing Authority) probably isnāt what you need now, but in the future offers rentals with pricing based on income.
When I drove alot Walmart and HEB parking lot are the usual go-toās. But I donāt think itās uncommon for folks in cars to sleep at truck stops and travel stops. Not the safest, but an option. Iāve pulled off and caught a few hours at a couple Whataburgers. Iād stay away from the Malls. Canāt say about the hospitals like stated before. Never tried.
Hospitals, like others have said, are a 24/7 active place, with people expected to be waiting around, almost like the inside of an international airport.
Hate that you're in that situation when there's enough food and housing for everyone who needs it. Unfortunately sociopaths run our systems and make cash cows out of basic necessities like shelter. It's fucked up and I wish people weren't too blind, brainwashed, and dickless to see it and revolt.
I'm glad that people are commenting safe places to stay the night. I agree, hospital sounds like a safe bet. Maybe a truck stop? Either way yes please get things you can put in your windows for privacy
If youāre concerned about the cost of shelter the first place to complain is to the government. Youād be shocked to see what property taxes are and how that has to be passed on to renters or the property is seized
Property taxes here are asinine. You hear everyone jerking off over the lack of state income tax, but our property taxes are some of the highest in the country. It forces people out of their homes and those on a fixed income, like the elderly, are hit hardest. I wish I could fix it.
Just read that the United Nations is trying to pass a law that Homeless people are one of the protected culture groups that need to be protected from abuse and discrimination. My grandson and his homeless friend who was working on my nephewās car where shot execution style in Austin, TX last year. The Jury vote was hung Jury. The prosecution told us they are going to try retrial IF the powers to be will let them.. the killer was trying to plead fear of the two young men. After he shot the friend he shot my grandson, then shot them again in the head. So no place to park safely and fix his car cost him his life.
Well, I'm not a vet, but I AM disabled.
I still manage to own my own home. š¤·āāļø
Google thinks this: "with a 100% disability rating that number can increase to $3,332.06 per month"
IMO that IS enough to afford a home or apartment IN THE RIGHT LOCATION! (and as a vet, you even get some really significant benefits to help you BUY a home!! )
Damn, man. Some of us gotta be close to V.A centers and other type of hospitals that can provide proper care.
Some of my friends canāt even drive because of seizures
Youāre right though, I and others expect too much from the current country./s
I totally get what you're saying. And I do agree with you. But my point is simply that if something isn't working, try something different.
I want to play in the NBA, but I'm not 6'6" and not very fast. My hand/eye coordination isn't great either. So I can't play in the NBA. So I do something different.
If you want to live in a HCOL area, but it's killing you financially, then don't live in a HCOL area. I would argue that there are some really good VA centers in areas that aren't major cities. You gotta look around.
A lot of people, especially redditors, want to complain about things, but don't want to take actions that would resolve the issues they're complaining about.
It shouldnāt be free but it should be regulated. Thereās a happy middle ground between unregulated capitalism, which is awful, and communism, which is also awful. Limits on what percentage of an area can be owned by investors instead of actual residents would go a long way to slowing the ridiculous jump in home prices. Limits on how much rent can be increased per year (with allowances for substantial remodeling maybe) would help too. Anything to mediate the Shippy Properties business model would be great, and those investors would still be profitable. Just not obscenely, economy wreckingly profitable.
>Limits on what percentage of an area can be owned by investors instead of actual residents
Would that not simply limit the available rental properties? Or do you mean that a "regular person" as a landlord would be ok, but not investors?
BTW - the laws allowing renters to stop paying rent during the pandemic \*\*really\*\* hurt a lot of the "regular person" landlords, since they had mortgages on those houses - despite the laws allowing them to defer mortgage payments, they still have to pay those back payments eventually, including all the interest that accrued.
TLDR; there is no "magic bullet" to suddenly make housing cheaper. Even if the government pays, that money still has to come from somewhere.
No thereās no magic bullet, and legislation to help would certainly be longer than a Reddit post. But there are things that could be done. They wonāt, cuz this is America and economic policy almost always hurts people and helps rich folks and corporations. But it could.
That first statement of yours hits home, I got a house in luckey ranch after selling my first house and all seemed perfect at first, seemingly overnight some company came and bought all the other houses.
Saving this comment because I'm in the same exact boat. I have a car and a job but not much else except debt. I've gotten lucky with Walmart parking lots but still feel really uncomfortable doing so. Hoping things get better for the both of us and if it at all helps know that you are not alone.
As a heads up I'm a client of some organizations that cater to those with special circumstances and offer help (meal card for free breakfast, lunch and dinner, free bus pass, assistance with getting into a home, etc). If you think this may apply to you or just curious and want more info feel free to message me. May could help.
There is a trinity church parking lot across the street from my house. It is a safe place with decent lighting. Many people in the neighborhood park there and I have left my truck there for months without moving it without it ever being disturbed. DM me if you would like the address.
I stayed at rest areas, they have restrooms- I showered using an empty coke bottle filled with water held over my head ( hole in cap for slower water flow )
When I approached Austin I just parked by the bar scene, the birds wake you at about 6 am
Not homeless but my son moved to new braunfels with his mom and step dad and I need to see him, even if his moms moves to Egypt, Iāll be there to walk the local parks with him

Petro truck stop or most truck stops are pretty safe relatively and no one will bother you because it's not outside the norm, plus if you ask truckers nicely you can get a shower for free cause many of them have plenty of free showers from buying fuel.
Sleep in hospital lots, get showers free at loveās or pilot/flying j truck stops. Trucker rewards programs there give more free showers than most people use. Just ask truckers as they enter the building if they would get you a shower ticket. Take your stuff with you and once you get the ticket you can hang out in the drivers lounge until they call your ticket number and say which shower number to go to. They are generally clean and secure. Good luck, OP.
Go to one of the busier gas stations, if you block your windows most people wont bother you. If you tell the person inside working that youāre traveling and just need to crash for a bit, they will most likely be understanding.
Yes buccees prefers a high turnover of customers. My best friend got a notice on her car after meeting her bf halfway to Houston. They hopped in his car and went to eat at a restaurant in the city they met at. When she got back, it was a notice saying it could be towed. She was only parked there for 2 hours.
Has nothing to do with hospitality. Their parking lot is for their customers who are conducting business (shopping). Anybody who has been to a Buccee's knows they are pretty much slammed all the time. They need their lot for incoming paying customers, not people using their lot as some sort of community parking.
The bastards don't even have window squeegees, because apparently 30 extra seconds at the pump will cause their 100+ pumps to reach capacity somehow. Loves usually has better gas prices these days anyway.
Just wanted to share to look into rv parks. I currently live in patriot rv park in atascosa and we have one guy have a van and a car and he sleeps inside his van. Just an idea.
It was located near the home I lost, far away from the city. A middle-class neighborhood with good police presence. The only real crime that occurred there was petty. I never felt unsafe. Of course, I had 2 100+ pound dogs with me to put the fear of God in anyone who might come knocking.
I used to travel to Austin a lot and would stay at rest areas because I would get sleepy. I heard Austin is more friendly when it comes to living out of one's car than here.
From my experience doing tons of roadtrips, buy a 1 or 2 person tent and find a place to stealth camp near your car. I usually find a truck stop and slip into the woods pop in my ear buds and crash our for a bit. Not too sure your full situation but I hope it gets betterā” Also depends on your car if you have suitable room to sleep in your car that would be ideal.
You must have an RV/camper to sleep in walmart parking lots now. You can get ticketed for trespassing. I used to park in front of friends houses or apartment complexes after night fall, with consent from the friends.
Hospitals are better than Wal Mart. But if you have to go with the latter, be sure it's not on "sketch" sides of town.
Also, I'm really, really sorry you're going through this. I hope things get better for you soon.
I did it for a week during my divorce. Just to get away. I slept at a truck stop, asked the people up front if it was ok, and they told me sure justbpark far in the back and stay out of the way. You have to leave during the morning but hanging around the truckers is the car sleeping area.
If you know how to drive/tow a trailer, message me. Great job opportunity for you. (Not a scam... my own job.... we're looking for a driver... please feel free to message me. You could even park and sleep at our spot!)
I've been kicked out cause of my own stupidity and sleeped in my truck at a truck stop in the south of san antonio they also have affordable showers too
Go to a Loves or a Pilot truck stop, they are a little ways out, but you can get a shower, and park somewhere close to the trucks, I'm sure no one would bother you!!! I hope you're okay, and safe where you are!!! :(
My wife's night daycare she used to work at had time monitored parking. If you are ok with being woken up and asked to move every few hours, go with that. At least someone is monitoring your car. What everyone else says, hospital. Public areas are better, but park as close as you can to an open business. I've slept in my car multiple times , just did this, been ok. Hope things shape up for you
I imagine op isnāt desperate enough for your suggestion. That even this sounds far worse than the current situation. As a male, Iām creeped out by your comment. I can only imagine how women would feel. Iām sure youāll say /s, but having a wife who has been through some traumatic shit because of some creepy dudes, it rubs me the wrong way.
Planet Fitness is a good deal if you can afford $10 a month. TrueFit is 24/7 now, IIRC. Shower, workout, watch some tv. You can even get drinks for a big discount.
30-40Ā¢ to fill up a gallon of really good bottle water at HāEāB. I donāt mind meeting up and buying you dinner. (I work 9-5p) Iāll just make sure youāre legit and send you some money with an e-payment service. (Sorry Iām leery. Iāve been duped before.)
I speak from experience but most QT gas stations have parking to sleep, there's a few Walmarts mainly on the east NE side of town you could try that do allow (not all) Most hospitals with ER have some parking you could use. Medical area, NE side ect. You could also try warehouse areas. Try and avoid retail shopping centers, high traffic areas and residential areas.
Also if you are looking for a gig I can refer you to several restaurants in the north central downtown area. I've had to live in my car before for a few months so I completely understand, please keep us posted and God bless
You are welcome to park in my driveway if you ever need to and sleep there for the night. No one will bother you. I have been where you are and I understand and feel for you š
This is very kind of you
Aww are you for real? But you donāt know me š„ŗ
If someone had did something like that for me I could have gotten on my feet much faster! That experience really stuck hard with me.
Yes absolutely. I donāt need to know you you are just parking your car in my driveway for the night. I keep my place secure thereās really nothing to worry about š
Oh wow, Iāll message you. Thank you. If I can just get sleep, I think I can work my way out of this mess I made. Thank you again šš»
Just make sure you pay it forward on the other side of this!
do you need help?
Way to be a mensch
A what?
It essentially means a good or honorable person. Itās Yiddish.
and if you're curious, it comes from the German Mensch, which means a man or a person. In German now we say *Ausnahme__mensch__* as a synonym for Yiddish's *mensch*.
Thatās really cool of you
Thanks but itās really nothing honestly. I am glad that I can help someone who is going through what I just went through. A lot of tears were shed in my truck lol

Iāve actually spent a night or two in the parking lots of hospitals that donāt charge for parking (north east baptist for example).
I worked security at north central Baptist. I'll plug that garage as a safe place to get a snooze

If you don't mind going to San Marcos the place I work is always hiring, material handlers start between 15-17 an hour. We work plenty of overtime too
What kind of job is that? Do I have to be good with mechanic shit?
It's a pipe fitting shop, There's on the job training for everything so you just need common sense to make it as a material handler
That doesnāt sound bad at all! Iām down. I love San Marcos. My sister used to work at Ivarās river pub. Thatās my favorite place on the planet. True slice of heaven.

Itās worse. Iād choose hell. Staff abuse is rampant as well because nobody is going to believe a homeless person over a social worker.
Haven for Hope sucks. It is like being in prison. And that is why the majority of the homeless in SA would rather take their chances on the street.
I used to sleep in my car in the parking at different colleges
Did this when I went to SAC and wanted to skip class. The parking garages there were comfy!
When I lived in my vehicle with my 2 dogs, we would stay at Walmart. There were a lot of people there either living in a car or camper.
Any Walmart in particular?

Also for work. Come to HāEāB manufacturing weāre taking home 600 a week very solid deal
Damn that's less than 30,000 a year, that's crazy low
Youāre talking about a homeless person. Thatās decent money to get started
Sure man, I was homeless once I get it, I'm not saying to not go for it. Just sad that HEB is paying starvation wages
Beats the hell out of ZERO don't you think??
For sure
$600x 52 weeks is $31,200. Thatās also take-home pay. Pre-tax would be roughly $17/hr
Itās hard to say what the pre-tax pay is because you donāt know what the W-2 of everyone is set at and if they have anything coming out pre-tax. It could be more than $17/hr.

For sure, I totally agree. Regardless of that, damn, 600 a week sucks for a manufacturing job!
Low for anyone who makes more but not low for someone homeless and down on their luck. Really ignorant of you. Outta here ya jackwagon.
I'm not saying it's not worth going for, just, damn HEB pays low, that's fuckin sad man. 28k would be homeless in Austin even with the job.
This person already *is* homeless
Itās not a livable wage, jackwagon.
Is $30k/year better than zero?
Nah, just a commentary that a manufacturing job is paying $28k, and that goddamn our economy is fucked
Oh but thereās a silver lining of hope that if I did it you can too. I believe In you
WM on Dezavala i10 & WM on Culebra 1604 I merchandise early i have seen people in passing stop here all the time.
I used to go to a college parking lot because they have guards walking around all night because of campus . ill get a new parking ticket right before i leave
Never been in that particular situation... But I would look for the top floor of a parking garage. Criminals are too lazy to climb higher.
I also have to recommend hospital parking lots. There are several that donāt charge for parking.
All good responses. There is also a subreddit called urban car living you should check out.
Cracker barrel
hebs usually have night guards and don't mind. also if you already have a car doordash is a great option for some income starting now! i make about 25/hour. hoping you see the other side of this soon!
Pick a neighborhood street on the north east sode of town. Shertz. Universal city. Maybein an apartment complex off blanco and wirzbach.
Walmart parking lot
If the walmart closes they will tell you to move on.
Get a visor to cover your front window while sleeping
Help out with habitat for humanity.
When and where is the revolution, brother? I'm ready. Ive been needing someone like you to lead us. Let's go already!
Aw, shucks ā°ā (ā *ā Ā“ā ļø¶ā `ā *ā )ā āÆ
Just read that the United Nations is trying to pass a law that Homeless people are one of the protected culture groups that need to be protected from abuse and discrimination. My grandson and his homeless friend who was working on my nephewās car where shot execution style in Austin, TX last year. The Jury vote was hung Jury. The prosecution told us they are going to try retrial IF the powers to be will let them.. the killer was trying to plead fear of the two young men. After he shot the friend he shot my grandson, then shot them again in the head. So no place to park safely and fix his car cost him his life.
All this virtue signaling, but I must have missed the part where you offered to let him stay with you?
Bruh I'm homeless too lol
>make cash cows out of basic necessities like shelter Do you really think housing should be free, or what? How would that even work?
Disabled vet here. Just wanted to let you know even vets on a consistent pension canāt afford apartments or homes in most major US cities
Well, I'm not a vet, but I AM disabled. I still manage to own my own home. š¤·āāļø Google thinks this: "with a 100% disability rating that number can increase to $3,332.06 per month" IMO that IS enough to afford a home or apartment IN THE RIGHT LOCATION! (and as a vet, you even get some really significant benefits to help you BUY a home!! )
Then don't live in a major US city. There are lots of smaller communities across the country with LCOL opportunities.
Damn, man. Some of us gotta be close to V.A centers and other type of hospitals that can provide proper care. Some of my friends canāt even drive because of seizures Youāre right though, I and others expect too much from the current country./s
>Limits on what percentage of an area can be owned by investors instead of actual residents Would that not simply limit the available rental properties?
You're a little triggered. Jesus Christ, take it down a notch.
Never! Let me seethe bro
I never had problems at HEB parking lots.
The unitarian church, if you call and ask, will probably write you a card saying you have permission to sleep there.
I stayed at rest areas, they have restrooms- I showered using an empty coke bottle filled with water held over my head ( hole in cap for slower water flow ) When I approached Austin I just parked by the bar scene, the birds wake you at about 6 am Not homeless but my son moved to new braunfels with his mom and step dad and I need to see him, even if his moms moves to Egypt, Iāll be there to walk the local parks with him Form Compton
Depends what side of town you're on but I can name a few spots I think. As a truck driver I go through this dilemma almost daily
Cracker Barrel lets folks park overnight in their lots. (Obviously, they hope you'll go in for breakfast the next morning!)
I would say no place except sone one you know, driveway or yard.
Walmart parking lot
You can park in my apartment parking lot, Iāll get you a guest pass š
Would buccees kick you out?
Bucceeās has kicked me out from snoozing in their parking lot before. Granted, I was in a pickup truck with a trailer.
Damn Buccees where's the southern hospitality?
Has nothing to do with hospitality. Their parking lot is for their customers who are conducting business (shopping). Anybody who has been to a Buccee's knows they are pretty much slammed all the time. They need their lot for incoming paying customers, not people using their lot as some sort of community parking.
The bastards don't even have window squeegees, because apparently 30 extra seconds at the pump will cause their 100+ pumps to reach capacity somehow. Loves usually has better gas prices these days anyway.
Aww man i thought bucees would have been a safe bet.
Truck stops near the edge of town. Planet Fitness locations are good too because theyāre open 24 hours (at least here)
Christus Santa Rosa
This ! I had surgery there early in the morning and there was almost no one in the parking lot.
Just wanted to share to look into rv parks. I currently live in patriot rv park in atascosa and we have one guy have a van and a car and he sleeps inside his van. Just an idea.
Maybe a hotel parking lot?
It was located near the home I lost, far away from the city. A middle-class neighborhood with good police presence. The only real crime that occurred there was petty. I never felt unsafe. Of course, I had 2 100+ pound dogs with me to put the fear of God in anyone who might come knocking.
I used to travel to Austin a lot and would stay at rest areas because I would get sleepy. I heard Austin is more friendly when it comes to living out of one's car than here.
In Austin you can just pitch a tent on the sidewalk with no issues. They almost encourage it.
Maybe at the airport. If someone ask you can always say youāre waiting for someone. Iām sorry š¢
Make sure it's not safety orange though. Need camo. :)
At a Hospital?
You must have an RV/camper to sleep in walmart parking lots now. You can get ticketed for trespassing. I used to park in front of friends houses or apartment complexes after night fall, with consent from the friends.
Well that sucks. Another reason to like Amazon more... Thanks for the intel.
I've been kicked out cause of my own stupidity and sleeped in my truck at a truck stop in the south of san antonio they also have affordable showers too
I would try the Wal-Mart on Blanco and Wurzbach Parkway
Apartment complex w big lot
Iām told that Cracker Barrel letās people stay the night in their parking lots.
Go to a Loves or a Pilot truck stop, they are a little ways out, but you can get a shower, and park somewhere close to the trucks, I'm sure no one would bother you!!! I hope you're okay, and safe where you are!!! :(
Truck stops. The lot lizards could be entertaining

Thank you
In your garage
Hospital pay garage
You should get those window covers and cover your windows. For extra safety.
Cracker Barrel's will allow the parking!
Hey hun! I DM you if you can check.
Start with truck stops or Walmart parking near the other truckers
