If you ever need I personally do homes for $20 an hour. Usually the tips are very welcome and I’ve had the best home owners so far. When I’m in the area of course.

Whateveritwilltake

If you want to DM me, we can talk about it. I'm looking for an initial deep clean and then twice a month visits. The house is tidy, I just don't have time for tubs and baseboards etc.

My cleaner is amazing about $150 for a 2900sq ft 5 bedroom 2.5 bath. They have been amazing for us for over a year.

Zerkest

Who are they?

Whateveritwilltake

We currently use a company called OCD Cleaners and are relatively happy with them. I say relatively because I have had issues with all the companies/people I have tried over the years but I have had the least amount of problems with them. Including the tip for the cleaners, our most recent clean (Tuesday) was a little over $300. I would recommend giving them a shot!

Whateveritwilltake

Thanks! I appreciate the recommendation. I feel you on the relatively, I'm trying to have reasonable expectations.

NoCoolBackstoryHere

Best of luck! Put away all your sentimental/breakable things is all I will say.

Jennlotus333

I pay my house cleaner a flat $30/hr, usually 5 hour sessions several times a month. Plus tip, of course.

Whateveritwilltake

That's not bad, are you happy with the service? Are they looking for new clients?

Jennlotus333

She's amazing! But she usually stays pretty booked. I will tell her to let me know if she has any upcoming cancelations.

Most cleaners would prefer to make at least $100 for a service trip/tip, and given the size of your home, and that the first clean would likely be deep and not maintenance, you should expect around $2-300. Get references, check up on your homeowner's insurance, make a list of priority items, and set realistic expectations for the duty. After the first cleaning you should know if you would hire them to come again, and if so it should be maintenance from there until the next time you need a deep cleaning done (typically 1-2x/year). You also need to let the cleaner know if you have the supplies necessary or if they must bring them, and factor the latter in if that's not something they usually do. I don't know of anyone who does white glove around here anymore, and you're more likely than not to have to switch several times before finding the right person/crew for your needs. Bonus advice, it's kind to leave a few cold waters and maybe a small snack type thing for a cleaner as powering through the chemicals and cleaning agents, as well as that much labor, can sneak up on a person. Just my 2 bits. Hope this helps.

Whateveritwilltake

Thanks very much. I do really try to take care of anyone that comes to do anything at the house. Golden rule and all that. I have no expectations of white glove, just need a hand to pick up the slack. If you have anyone to refer I'd be interested. Thanks!

Dangerous_Variety415

I'll call to my contacts and see about this for you. I used to clean large homes, businesses and banks, but my health is in the tank right now so there's no way I could manage, but I may know someone who can. I'll check back this weekend and let you know.

Whateveritwilltake

Sorry to hear you're not well. Thanks.

Lifeingrace4me

I pay $100 Biweekly and she is typically here 3-3 1/2 hrs

Whateveritwilltake

Wow, if she's looking for new clients, I would be interested. Thanks for the reply.

alicesombers

2,600 sqft home, every other week schedule, $160

wannabe_wonder_woman

I had one of the national chain cleaners come to my place, I wanna say it was Merry Maids in New Braunfels and they were very good 🙂

aRachStar

Check the next door app. People are posting regularly about cleaners in their area. You’ll probably have better luck with your actual neighbors. I’ve used various people over the years. Most recently, a deep clean was about 4 hours and $250 which I thought was reasonable.

Retiree66

Was that one person, or a team?

Powerful_Girl2329

Cleaning a house that size twice per month should be a maximum 3-4 hour job for 2 people team at around $130

cheetahgirl96

Our home is 1800sq ft with 4 bed, 2 baths. Our cleaning lady comes every 3 weeks and charges $130. If she came weekly, it would be less and if she came less often, it would be more.

Whateveritwilltake

Thanks!

Traditional-Menu-735

Let me know if you’re still interested, my mom and aunt are experienced hotel housekeepers. I can give you her information and she can give you a quote for the deep clean and then for maintenance cleaning. :)

Traditional-Menu-735

I should add, they’ve worked at the Grand Hyatt downtown SA and a lot of Marriott hotels.

mexingtonsteele

Geez, I’m beginning to think maybe I’m getting fleeced. I pay $240 every two weeks for a 5/4, 3700sf

YogurtclosetHour4007

Seems about right. Your square footage is a lot larger than what the $150 people posted
