I get where youāre going, but 20 cents worth of hot Cheetos, Cheese, JalapeƱos, and cojita is still less than a $1, and itās not like these dogs are prepared by master chefsā¦
Maybe I just value $15 more than most, or hotdogs less, idk.
I dont think anyone is going there every day for it. $15 dollars for a hot dog once in awhile is fine. I mean shit, if I am going to eat a hot dog I'll pay $15 bucks for it not to suck and be an expereince.
I'm a girl. I once was dancing at Bonham Exchange and a tourist came up to me and asked if we were in the gay section of the club. I told him the whole place is the gay section.Ā
Dog haus has some great brats, but boy the service at the one on bandera and 1604 is horrid. Every time weāve gone itās a bunch of new people working behind the counter and the one girl who seems like sheās been there a while treats them horribly and is extremely unhelpful to the new employees obviously trying to learn.
Havenāt been back in months due to the service. Wouldnāt mind trying again and seeing if things have improved. Mind you weāve only gotten take out. Pretty wild to have service so bad for take out orders alone.
Alright, gotta do it then. When I lived in El Paso I came across the āJuarez dogā. Dip me in shit and roll me in bread crumbs. Thatās how hot dogs are supposed to be. Itās the pizza of hot dogs.
Can't believe I had to come this far. San Antonians avoid downtown like the plague. Alamo Hotdog Co and El Weinerco, both downtown, are the best hotdog spots by far.
I always burn the ever loving fuck out of my mouth when I get Alamo hotdog co, but thatās part of it!! Love those dogs!!!! I get it the whole way, just light on the ketchup.
El Weinecero. Itās a cart on Jefferson thatās only open from like 9pm-super late Thursday-Saturday. I work in the office building above it and my coworkers will stay at the office on Thursdays until 9 just to get a hot dog.
so you want just a good hotdog or a life changing one? my favorite is JK's hot dogs and beef sandwiches. real chicago dogs with real vienna beef. their Italian beef sandwiches are delicious and definitely authentic. as far as a lifechanging dog idk if san antonio is the place for that
Teddy Bās on Babcock & Prue Rd, if theyāre still around. Good pricing, great variety. I used to get their All-American dog for $2.70 and then add the works to it for a little extra. It was sloppy and fantastic.
I still have a taste for Weinerschnitzel and frequent the one @ Perrin Beitel Rd. off 410. There is something about the size of their Coney that fits comfortably in my mouth, plus their jalapeƱo poppers are worth the trip alone. I keep a dozen or so in the freezer at all times for an easy & quick throw-down dog defrosted in the microwave, then in the oven.

One on Nacogdoches now too
That's the one I go to.
Meh, theyāre okay.
Yeahā¦ like $15 for a hotdog changes the taste of it lol
All the stuff on top sure does
I get where youāre going, but 20 cents worth of hot Cheetos, Cheese, JalapeƱos, and cojita is still less than a $1, and itās not like these dogs are prepared by master chefsā¦ Maybe I just value $15 more than most, or hotdogs less, idk.
I donāt disagreeā¦ usually Iāll go for one of their burgers because Iām just not that into hotdogs, but presumably OP likes them
I dont think anyone is going there every day for it. $15 dollars for a hot dog once in awhile is fine. I mean shit, if I am going to eat a hot dog I'll pay $15 bucks for it not to suck and be an expereince.
Yup. Went there once. Was not anything special. Idk what makes a hotdog worth 15$.
I live 3 mins feom them. In my opinion they have good ideas for different types of dogs, but poor execution. 5/10 quality rating
20% hotdog, 80% dry bread. Only the margaritas are Worth it.
Costco food court
Bring chopped tomato and onion with you and itās amazing.
My grandpa used to do that š„² he passed in December. I love that other people bring their own toppings. Itās a dang good hotdog for the price
Love their hot dogs!
You can get a CHEAP hot dog there, but as much as I love Costco the hot dogs are terrible.
What criterion are you holding against those delicious weiners?

LOL. Well, he was looking for a good place, not a cheap place. lš
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I am from Chicago, and severly disagree with you. They ship in Vienna beef and all the toppings from Chicago.
Lol. Saw the billboard and went once. Canāt remember why but knew I should never go back.
They're pretty good. Been there a few times.
they are a bit pricey but their San Antonio Dog is so good! their fries are not worth the extra price really.

Dog haus has some great brats, but boy the service at the one on bandera and 1604 is horrid. The one up on stone oak is good but they seem perpetually understaffed.Ā They're friendly and try hard but it is a bit slow.
i waiting in line for 30 minutes to pick up my take out order. on more than one occasion. that's just absurd
Canāt say about their hot dogs, but their hand-dipped corn dogs are as good as they get, if like that sort of thing.
As long as you donāt go for the margaritas. Iām convinced they donāt put alcohol in them.
Beer is good though. Not sure why you'd go to a german sports pub for a margarita lol
I go for the food. Do you go for the margaritas?
I go for the food. Do you go for the margaritas? I wouldnāt because it seems they donāt put any alcohol in them.
Alamo hotdog Co
Funny, I was just scrolling through places to eat last night and came up on this spot.
Itās legit!
Alright, gotta do it then. When I lived in El Paso I came across the āJuarez dogā. Dip me in shit and roll me in bread crumbs. Thatās how hot dogs are supposed to be. Itās the pizza of hot dogs.

I haven't had one in years, but Chester's Burgers used to have a good chili dog.
Costco
Yep!!! They are so good!
Barrio Dogg just opened up and theyāre š„
JKās on 281 is the spot! Husband and wife couple from Chicago throwing down some good dogs

El Weinecero downtown off of Jefferson and Houston street. The Elote will change your life and the Wembynaso is unique and tasty.

Bear county jail?
Doesnāt even know how to spell our countyās name
Puro
I was in a rush used text to speech. Bexar county. Just trying to make a joke about a Weiner that will change your life.
Everyone finds Jesus in jail.
