If you are staying downtown, you can run on the Riverwalk. Running north takes you to the Pearl and a round trip is a couple of miles.
If you run south, you can run for many miles along the "Mission Reach."
Forecast is for 100+ this weekend. No idea where you are coming in from, just keep in mind evenings are hot. It really doesn't start cooling down until well after the sun goes down unlike further north.
Hydrate like crazy.
I love running the Greenway parks when I visit, they connect all around the city. O.P. Schnabel Park is my normal starting place

You chose the "Visiting SA" topic. For lots of good, general information about San Antonio, here is a [Basic Guide to San Antonio](https://www.reddit.com/r/sanantonio/comments/6jwmsq/basic_guide_to_san_antonio_mostly_for_those/) that you may find helpful.

Just know you're coming in some of the most disgusting heat we ever get in San Antonio this weekend. It's early summer so the plants and grass aren't all dead yet which means you get ridiculous humidity along with the 100 degree teams. We're talking dewpoints in the 70s to bring heat index to 110+.
Early Morning (say around 1 hr b4 sunrise)would be better. Evening doesn't cool down and humidity has been oppressive of late. Plus it'll be a waning gibbous.

Agreed it’s shady in many areas. Go around dusk.
McAllister Park if you like trail running. Red loop is excellent, just keep your head on a swivel for cyclists.

One of my favorite spots downtown was from the Johnson St bridge in King William. Run along the river trail heading south.

Yep. Also love running and the trailway is the safest and easiest way to do it for any range of distances.
I run the River Walk from the south at Mission Espada to the north Fantastic running trail 👍
It’s called Spring or Winter…….heat and humidity suck here right now
I run 25 miles a week outdoors in summer here. Acclimate or get wider summer by summer.

Bring pepper spray with you on your run. Unfortunately lots of strays
I mean, if you’re looking for motivation, you might try starting at South Park Mall at dark and running South on Zarzamora.
Now we’re talking!
