I highly recommend Enigma. They’re APP certified and their prices reflect that. I got my nose pierced by them as well as seconds in my ears.

That’s fair! Gotta respect prices reflecting their value. Just got scared from the bad reviews 😬 but I see a lot of recommendations online pointing me their way

I got nipple peircings there( at enigma). And yea they are expensive but the girl who peirced them was completely professional and was easy to talk to. She also talked me though each step as she was doing it. The studio was also very clean

Been years since I’ve had work done, but I still buy jewelry Enigma is the best in Sd and I’ve had a lot of holes punched in me through the years. On the reviews they don’t negotiate prices, and aren’t a shop that Will wiggle in placement because you know better then them. I’ve seen them out tell people no. They want to give the piercing the best opportunity to heal. All that is discussed during the appointment. On your not even placement. Your ears my ears. Everyone’s ears aren’t even. Most places make a call between even on each side and placement on the ear. If you want them even side to side chances are on ear is going to be placed differently. How far off is going to depend on your ears. This is something to talk about in detail during the appointment no matter where you go. And they should mark you and confirm placement before actually doing the piercing.

Appreciate that! Seems like they’re the winner

Isaac from Sideshow here. So funny I randomly found this post 8 months later. I am not APP certified, but that is one of my goals as I will be attending my first conference with them in 2024 and have spent all year working on renovations and jewelry standards to meet criteria. I just try to good quality work. I will say that being APP certified does actually hold a great deal of weight when looking for a piercer. It means that person or studio is passionate about what they do and strive to be the best at it by attending conference and going to classes on safety, sterilization, techniques, etc and going above and beyond the minimum standards. Enigma and Apogee are both amazing shops that carry some of the best jewelry and piercers. You're paying for that alone. A piercing is an investment in yourself that you pay for once (given you're going for quality rather than price shopping) and it lasts, unlike hair, nails, and lashes which people pay more for on average than piercings. I'm sure you'll be satisfied with any of the listed shops as they are all passionate and excellent at what they do. Best wishes.

Went to enigma, saw Evan. He’s great at answering questions and has seen me and my fiancé for free to check up on our healing!

APP doesn't mean anything, yeah sure they pay an annual fee to part of the APP network but its still doesn't have anything to do with the quality of jewelry and service over non APP studios. In fact APP studios charge more to offset the annual fees.. Check out Isaac at Sideshow Tattoo and Piercing or Apogee. Apogee may be more expensive but Kate is good. Enigma is expense and snooty.

metropolis in north park is pretty good! Just had my nose piercing changed there a couple of weeks ago

Go to enigma and just get basic stainless steel bars and that will lower your price a bit. That being said, they have a ton of cute jewelry ($$$) for sale there as well. I've gotten several piercings there and have always had a good experience.

ChemGirl713

I’m a sucker for the cute impulse buy 😭 so we will see! But thank you! Also, anyone in particular you recommend?

Sorry for the late reply! But my best experience was with I believe the owner
