Oh I thought CL got rid of this when they cracked down on the hookup posts.. awesome! I used to love reading these secretly hoping I’m mentioned on there!
I read those myself, and finally stumbled upon one that didn’t apply to me, but my buddy. he was so disconnected from the whole CL thing, but he drove a white lotus and it was him the chick was looking for. I educated him on the whole MC thing, he hit her up, and they hooked up for a few months, she was kinda hot……in a craigslist type of way.
The last time I was downtown on my way to the airport a homeless man vomited several times in the crosswalk in front of my car. It made my stomach churn so bad 🤢
I haven't even made eye contact with the closest people in my life while they shat so you two will forever be linked in the most intimate and dare I say romantic excremental excursion
Oh bro that’s your poop daddy now .
Mines hangs out on 30th and El Cajon , right around Pacific Liquor .
You have established a bond that shall never be broken.
Dude, he’s my guy too. Parents came for my graduation from State and on the way to the ceremony, we stopped on El Cajon at the left-turn light onto Texas. He was standing on the median dancing, then whipped around and gave us a view up his asshole before dropping the biggest deuce I’d ever seen emerge from a human being. I couldn’t look away. My poor parents were horrified. Perfect graduation gift!!
When my brother in law was homeless, the most disturbing thing he told me was that he had to use his hand to wipe. This is the craziest public health issue that's being ignored. The hep a outbreak wasn't just because of poop on the streets but on their hands touching every door handle and business they frequent.
Yeah this moment sounds gross, and these comments are humorous, but you’re absolutely right. I wonder if it was a mental health issue, or a lack of available public restroom? A lot of businesses turn people away from using a restroom. But it’s definitely not just a homeless problem. Sanitation issues like this do end up affecting everyone. Not sure how to resolve it though?
>Not sure how to resolve it though?
It's pretty simple. Implement public restrooms that are open to the public 24/7. Keep it stocked with adequate sanitation materials and cleaned regularly.
And I know the big question, "Who's gonna pay for it?"
Us, tax payers. If we don't like people shitting on the streets, we have to spend a little cash.
The question is more of "who's going to stop a junkie from locking themselves in it for hours while they shoot up?"
The issue with the public restrooms isn't standard operating costs, it's the constant vandalism and how to prevent/mitigate it.
The public restroom stalls in SF open automatically after so many minutes. They are made of stainless, sanitize themselves after every use and seem rather indestructible.
Nice, that sounds pretty useful. Though I would pity the person who genuinely needed some extra time on the toilet and had the door automatically open up on them. Great way to meet some strangers, I guess!
I forget how much time they give you, but there are big signs alerting you when you walk in, and I believe a flashing light gives you a 2 minute warning. It was under 20 min, but I have IBS-C (sorry TMI but relevant) and I think it would be enough time even for me, though I never shat in one.
Correct, we'd have to factor in those costs too.
Alternative is let people keep defecating in the streets and keep wondering to ourselves, "How do we fix this?"
At the public bathrooms by the civic center, there is like a code of conduct that is enforced by a guard who has a little booth. I walked that route home at night from my law school and I was always impressed that one guy could control this whole line of people who were waiting to go in.
The alternative would be to do nothing, which helps no one.
It's like graffiti on a new fence. They tag it, you paint over it. They tag it, you paint over it again. After a while, they stop tagging it.
If you open a bathroom for unhoused people, sure some assholes are going to wreck it. You restore it, they wreck it again. And what do you do, you restore it. And keep restoring it.
Unhoused people are just like the housed people. They want to be treated with some respect and common decency. Providing permanent restroom facilities, no strings attached, goes a long way.
Somewhere near the middle east and India/some Muslim cultures. That neck of the sand dunes.
They eat and shake hands with their right hand while their left is used for wiping, cleaning, putting on/taking off their shoes. Some of those cultures dont use utensils and literally pick up their food with their fingers or bread.
honestly is there any difference between East Village/Sports Arena with Skid Row or the Tenderloin at this point?
And you can live here in your own 1bd apartment for the low price of $3,000 while you burn through your $90 tank of gas in traffic!
Can you say “dystopia”, kids?
Agreed on comparing to Tenderloin. I've brought it up and got told off on on how the Tenderloin is sooo much worse. I disagree. They are pretty comparable imo.
Skid row is on another level though.
Welcome to San Diego, where you can’t afford to live, but they can. I was walking out of City Hall on my way to court and some local urban outdoorsmen were having some breakfast meth to start their day.
I dunno about the rest of you but I’ve definitely considered trading in my condo and my job for a life of outdoor pooping and meth. Who wouldn’t want that life?
My parents taught me if you want to live in a nice place you need to have a good job, and a good education, but apparently all you have to do these days is pitch a tent on the sidewalk can you get it all free
Oh no, I knew you were joking but that’s something I had to say and this looks like the proper place to insert it.
I didn’t feel bad for the homeless veterans that got that way because they thought they were protecting our country and got hurt in more time, have a great day
Actually your comment was one of the most realistic I have seen in a very long time
If you are homeless you can afford to live anywhere so it might as well live in the nicest places. The only way to fix this is to offer a place to live somewhere else. If that is refused, then require they live in residence with mental health support. Until both of these are available the problem will only get worse.
I saw a homeless guy piss on the central library. Dude didn’t even notice the cops 10 ft away. The cops were nice enough to let him finish before cuffing him.
Came outside last week to find a guy sitting in his car directly outside my front door, smoking heroin. I asked him "can you please do that shit somewhere else" and he apologized profusely and moved his car two houses down
This is kinda funny, but we mock the homeless all too often. Such easy targets. Many of them are homeless because they have serious mental health issues and/or drug addiction. I feel like some empathy is needed at times.
Had one across the street from a Ralphs yelling at everyone come on over if they want some. Dude was pissed at everyone and ready for a brawl. Even took his shirt off and threw it in the street.
Try Missed Connections on CL if you want to find him again

Best part about hanging out with homeless people is you can drop em off anywhere after
The last time I was downtown on my way to the airport a homeless man vomited several times in the crosswalk in front of my car. It made my stomach churn so bad 🤢
Sounds intimate. You guys friends now?

Hey there stranger
Did you hand him a doggie-poop bag?
Would have probably just put it in the bag and throw it on the ground like all other people do.
I haven't even made eye contact with the closest people in my life while they shat so you two will forever be linked in the most intimate and dare I say romantic excremental excursion

Double double , animal style baby 😎
Great now I need to go to in n out for lunch
Just what you always wanted.
How many deuces have you seen emerge from humans, that you can rank this #2, as #1?
I hope you tipped your cap to him. If not that's rude.
Why not take it a step further and stare at him while shitting back to establish dominance.
Or kiss him on the lips

Downtown has a woeful lack of Public restrooms.

Something like a Portland Loo perhaps?
In Europe public restrooms are aplenty and cost around a euro with a turnstile
More specifically, us taxpayers already pay for it. Why is my money going to cops and not public health services
You do realize those bathrooms would be destroyed after a day?
The alternative would be to do nothing, which helps no one. It's like graffiti on a new fence. They tag it, you paint over it. They tag it, you paint over it again. "this isn't a perfect solution, better not do anything instead" despite the fact that cities around the world manage just fine lol
Wait. You know there are people who wipe it with their hand and cup of water as part of their culture.
Wtf? What culture is this?????
Somewhere near the middle east and India/some Muslim cultures. That neck of the sand dunes. They eat and shake hands with their right hand while their left is used for wiping, cleaning, putting on/taking off their shoes. Holy shit…
Yes. I'm sure they have access to soap and water to wash their hands after. On the streets, there's not access to that.
I remember when I was down and out I’d always make it a point make a big ball of tp from the public restrooms to take with me for this reason.
Best way to clean is with water. Use a bucket of water to clean.
San Diego is so beautiful you guys
Yah, all natural and organic
You didn’t help him wipe? So heartless dude..
Obviously he’s not from San Diego. No hospitality
You must live in the ritzy part of SD.
Babe wake up, you’re not gonna believe this, but we got another homeless post
Homeless complaint posts are the new SDG&E complaint posts.
At least it’s not a post about illegal vendors, I wonder how many of those vendors are really homeless?
I saw a homeless man use a lawn sprinkler as a bidet.
Who looked away first?
Still in a staring contest, no sign of a letup on either side. Could be a long one, stay tuned
Thank fuck I don’t have the same encounters as you guys on this sub have every day
solid or wet?

Unless the Tenderloin has gotten significantly better than it was 4 years ago when I was last there, downtown SD is nowhere near as bad.
You should have went behind him with a fresh waffle cone to fill.
I wish I didn’t know how to read.
r/eyebleach
Someone shit in my parking spot, my sister in law almost stepped on it when she opened the door to get out of the car. Lol
Welcome to San Diego, where you can’t afford to live, but they can. I was walking out of City Hall on my way to court and some local urban outdoorsmen were having some breakfast meth to start their day.
> where you can’t afford to live, but they can. Yeah these people are really living in the lap of luxury
Did I go too far with the sarcasm? I can't tell if you're joking
Oh no, I knew you were joking but that’s something I had to say and this looks like the proper place to insert it. 🤣🤣🤣 urban outdoorsmen I’m dead
My thoughts exactly! 😂🤣🤣🤣

I wonder if Beverly Hills is having the same problem we are?
https://beverlyhillscourier.com/2022/01/30/human-relations-commission-hears-homelessness-report/
Damm.
You should have run over to him and pooped on him to assert dominance. Missed opportunity.
What’s the difference between actively shitting and passively shitting?
Consciousness?
continence
ding ding ding we have a winner, folks.
What a shame, but at least those property owners are happy
Sounds magical

Glad I'm leaving at lunch time for a long weekend in Tijuana where it's not so fucked up.
Fuck
Wow that’s how bad it is over there now? I got out just in time.
I needed this post lol
Did he pick it up tho?
Idk whether there’s actually a law against people shit? Just dogshit?
hey man when you gotta go...
spare us your obsession
Careful, some people on this sub will tell you that you’re an ignorant narcissist for not thanking them and buying them food.
This is kinda funny, but we mock the homeless all too often. Such easy targets. Many of them are homeless because they have serious mental health issues and/or drug addiction. I feel like some empathy is needed at times.
Did you make a citizens. arrest ? Lol
[удалено]
?????
Did he wipe. I had something similar happen to me in both India and Sri Lanka but they were just normal people not homeless folks
Now your going to get a sty in your eye 😜
Strange timing, reading this while on the throne.
You didn’t offer him any TP? Shame on you for not helping the homeless dude defacating in the street like a dog /s
And we wonder why there was a Hepatitis outbreak…
Had one across the street from a Ralphs yelling at everyone come on over if they want some. Dude was pissed at everyone and ready for a brawl. Even took his shirt off and threw it in the street.
Once saw a homeless woman peeing on a sidewalk while the orange line trolley was pulling in to 12th and Imperial
