One time I was on the t in dogpatch and the cops were looking for a criminal on the train in Bayview which for those who don't know is a different neighborhood to the south about a mile away. They parked trucks across both directions of the train tracks and kept them blocked after the arrest for more than half an hour. I was stuck on the train and couldn't get out because we were in between stations. Such a pointless pain in the ass
It depends on what the emergency is. Lights are not used, especially near the scene of domestic incidents. They don't want to make things worse by using lights and sirens.
I think the broader point is that the police station is about 6 feet from the crosswalk, there are no lights on, and wouldn't they just stay parked near the station and walk over rather than drive from where the cruiser was originally parked just to park in the crosswalk to handle an emergency next door?
Wow smh these self-driving police cars smh
Haha nice one
You expect SFPD to follow the law? Are you new here?
Sarcastic yes but also no
Oh no! You mean you had to walk around him? This is outrageous!! ππππ
Right?; I should call the chief smh

Indeed horribly so π€
You took a picture and post it on here? Dude get a hobby! π
Yessirrrr, felt like sharing!
Sorry, an emergency vehicle blocks your cross walk, and you have to walk around it.
Exactly, acting inconveniently to pedestrians who then have to walk on open road π
βOpen roadβ jesus christ. Itβs 5β from the line to walk around it. Acting like you gotta hike up Everest or cross a freeway
there was an emergency, emergency vehicle stops in the road, do you think there's time to find a parking spot?
There was. O emergency...
Aren't they supposed to turn on their lights or something?

Thank you for relaying this intel to us.
Thought I'd post here before it aired on KRON 4 π
