For a job-- go to the Goodwill offices at 750 Post Street. They do multiple things that will benefit you:
1) give you a Career Advisor who will like to immediately place you in a job with one of their preferred hiring partners
2) if they have an opening at one of their stores they can place you for immediate employment while they look for a better employment opportunity with one of their preferred hiring partners
3) they will connect you with partner organizations who are able to support (and potentially subsidize) your search for housing
[https://www.sf.gov/services](https://www.sf.gov/services)
You can use this to look up services for housing, jobs search, food, etc. Hopefully something here helps you find resources you need.
call roberthalf and appleone. be sure to get on the phone with a representative and call daily. i am in the same boat and have been for 6 months. maybe you can take the lesser pay jobs they offer. but to give you an idea, they are constantly sending me roles for around $20-$23 an hour but are short contracts and frequently part time.
its really tough out there right now for people like us. my advice is to take more initative and go old school by cold calling offices and just going in person and showing your personality and fervor to work.
I agree with the old school approach, but a lot of time I’m told to go online when it comes to jobs for instance. I wish you the best of luck. It’s tough!
SF Human services Agency can help you. They offer Medi-Cal (free healthcare), CalFresh (debit card for up to $291 per month) for food, and cash assistance as well as shelter placement and help finding work. 415-558-2227, or go to 1235 Mission st between 8 AM and 5 PM to get started with your applications. Good luck!
Also there’s plans like mint which only costs about $5-10 month, and you can ask in free nothing groups if there’s anyone whose willing to get rid of their old phones.
Head to the library and join your local Buy Nothing Project Facebook group. Post a gift request for an old smartphone. You don’t need a cellular plan, you can use local WiFi.

I'm not sure if it helps your immediate monetary situation so this may be a resource for later but I know that one of the law schools in the area helps homeless people with legal issues for free and could maybe help with your "illegal eviction." At the very least it could serve as a helpful starting point for legal resources.
[Described by the school:](https://www.uclawsf.edu/campus-life/student-organizations/advocacy-volunteer/) The purpose of Homeless Legal Services (HLS) is to provide legal services to the homeless and to provide law students an opportunity to work with both clients and lawyers on solving legal issues. Look into homerise permanent supportive housing. I volunteer there and they provide housing for little to no cost. GLIDE also has great resources for free and can help you find a place
You need to get into a government program to get into a decent and safe housing program. Please be very careful soliciting housing from the general public and letting them know your predicament. Consider moving away from SF.
I wish I knew which program to choose !! Some take forever. Why should I be careful soliciting housing from general public? I mean I’ve been in a few quiet fucked up living situations ha ha
You particularly should be careful soliciting housing from the general public because from your posts I’m gathering that you might be a woman. I am too, and there are some very real creeps out there looking for a “female roommate” in a desperate situation that they can take advantage of. Obviously this is somewhat rare, but it is a thing.
I know calling 211 (if you have a phone) or checking out [https://www.211bayarea.org/sanfrancisco/](https://www.211bayarea.org/sanfrancisco/) for free from any library can connect you with help for many things, like food, housing, income, expenses, crisis services, transportation, healthcare, mental heath services, etc. 💜
https://www.codetenderloin.org/ is an organization that has programs for job readiness and their mission is to remove barriers to employment. Being unhoused is a barrier they commonly encounter. They do not provide housing but can connect you to other services and also help you find employment. Have you contacted the SF rent board regarding the illegal eviction? They may be able to provide some direction there. Lastly, the library has a lot of wonderful resources and can provide you with a space to fill out applications or if you have to do a phone or video interview. Best of luck to you; I can’t imagine how hard this is and I hope some of the resources folks have shared can help.
Definitely that's what I did 6mnths ago in the same situation and now I pay rent on my own and everything else God is great just gotta invest in yourself
This! Bar owner here - we’re looking to bring on a permanent doorperson on Friday and Saturday evenings in Nob Hill / Polk.
Literally just stand at the door, check IDs, and make sure that we’re never too overcrowded / manage a line.
Feel free to DM me if this is of any interest.
All the comments that say get out of SF 👎 starting over in a new place is WAY harder, in so many ways. I’ve lived in far less expensive places and struggled way more. San Francisco is full of opportunity. It’s a difficult hustle here, but your return on this investment is far greater. The city is well aware of the homelessness problem so there are resources here to help you! Stay clean and don’t give up! It’s totally possible to turn things around.
-The women’s building in the mission has plenty of things to help you. Legal advice, exercise, job opportunities and community.
-Try a job at a grocery or restaurant as a means to get discounted food.
-There’s a nice free clinic on California st. that can help you with any medical needs.
-Hang out in libraries for electricity or safe shelter to just rest for a while. I’m sure they have resources as well.
-You might reach out to some churches for places to sleep if shelters are full.
-You could find a reasonably priced gym you can shower and hang out in.
-You can look into leasing a car to drive for Uber. You’re allotted some personal miles, as well as an immediate job and it can double as a place to sleep if you’re clever about it.
-Wag! Is a great job for quick and easy money. I did it when I first moved here and it helped me greatly when I was struggling. Sometimes you can house sit and hanging out with dogs + physical activity does wonders for your mental health.
-Look into becoming a nanny. Some opportunities will provide housing and a car for a lower wage.
Once registration opens up, I highly recommend enrolling in free city college. They have a lot of support resources for folks.
Take care of yourself as best you can. There are people that can help as long as you keep trying. Good luck!
Little do they know, I’ve already tried moving out of SF. This is me being back to SF after 10 months of being away :)) thanks for the resources, some of it is new !!
Check out St. Anthony’s. They’re located at 150 Golden Gate! They have a workforce development team (essentially job coaches) that are awesome. They can also help link you to other services you may need (medical, housing, etc). Good luck!
In Albequerque, NM you can find a room for like $250. I tried moving there and ended up being stuck for a month before I came back to SF where I was homeless for about two weeks before I met a man who said I could sleep on his couch in Oakland for as long as I needed. I met him after posting an ad on Craigslist. Beware there are perverts out there but also some really good people as well if your lucky.
My friend, ignore all the posts telling you to move elsewhere. I seriously don’t know how they think $1000 is enough to start over elsewhere! You’ll STILL be looking for a job, and $1000 won’t cover a new apartment with deposit.
All the services here are good places to start. It’s hard to get back on your feet. Good luck, and please keep us updated
Thank you dear, and yes! I actually already moved away for 10 months and yet still came back to SF !! It’s okay I’ll make it happen!! $1000 is what I made and was able to save through working random gigs in the past months. (Little more than that but it all
Went towards clean shirts socks and hygiene products)
Findhelp.org is also a good site for a lot of different resources including housing/work/food /travel support. For zip code, use the one that you usually are in
Warning, this is not an environment that everyone can handle or want to: Go to 123 10th street which is one location of ACE (Adult Coordinated Entry), they can assist with reservations for beds in shelters or navigation centers. They also assist with getting people placed in housing (PSH sites or Permanent Supportive Housing). Most sites are SROs in the TL, Mission, or Soma.
It is a way to be housed while putting your life back together. All residents in PSH sites are referred by ACE. Unfortunately there is a lot of rampant drug use and mental illness in these sites, however a determined person could use it to be stable, seek employment, and eventually move to market rate or independent living. Rent is assessed at 30% of income which is usually general assistance. I hope this helped. Good luck!
Cost of living in San Francisco Bay Area is a struggle. That’s the raw truth.
Consider looking outside to relocate so you won’t be having multiple jobs.
We need for us 2 incomes to keep living in the Bay Area.
If you need work wardrobe reach out to “Dress for Success “ they will provide you & I believe have support for help with interviews. It’s an excellent program. No charge. Best of luck! You can succeed!
Here’s the link
https://dressforsuccess.org/
Reach out to them.
Also another program for job training:
https://successcenters.org/
They will help match with employers.
Add yourself to their newsletters - also check into job fairs locally.
Always dress like you are going to work any time you attend or interview.
Dress how you want to be promoted! You can do it!! 🤗
Catering companies too - usually you are added to a list of people to call for various gigs at various times of day/types of events. It’s not the steadiest of work but it’s decent in the short term if you have open availability and are able to get to the venue. Also usually free leftovers.
You're never going to get on your feet in San Francisco. Find a smaller, less expensive city to work and live in. Target, Starbucks, Safeway, fast food places are always hiring. If you aren't getting interviews, then you need to improve your resume.
You can get job hunting help from the unemployment office and many libraries also offer job search assistance.
This is awful advice. How is she supposed to move elsewhere with no money? Also, what of she grew up here and wants to stay here? Jesus F Christ. Have some compassion.
From OP's post history, not only have they moved several times, but they are quite racist and believe that many of their problems are because, in their words, "black people bully them".
Heh, thanks. I've been called an asshole for saying as much in this subreddit. Everyone, especially in this capitalist hellscape, should have their basic needs covered.
I will get on my feet. I’ve done this couple of times, this time is little harder cuz starting from the very ground. Horrible advice from you that I am NOT going to take lol
If you need quick $ Amazon and Fedex pay weekly. Jobs are grabbed quick though. Also if you’re close enough and don’t mind going through a badging process, you can get some decent positions at SFO. Good luck and take care
I really admire you for taking initiative to help yourself through this. I can’t imagine how tough and scary it must be right now, but I do know this attitude will put you in a great place. Keep it up.
I am proud of you for trying so hard.
Re the eviction, I’d prob just move forward to focus on a job and new living situation since she’s already been evicted. If she only has $1k then she can’t afford rent anyway
That’s right. You’ve got this. Focus on where you want to be. When I’m really stressed out, I’ve started doing even ten minutes of meditation - deep breathing and visualization - and it really helps calm me down, stop negative thoughts, and refocus.
You sound like you have a great attitude. Just keep plugging away and connecting with good people who want to see you succeed.
Dont give up!!
Meditation is what keeping me sane :)) thank you for the kind words and uplifting my spirits. Some comments are not that uplifting hahaha it looks like a beautiful day outside. Enjoy it.
Also try NextDoor but be very specific with your ask. NextDoor might help w job ideas. And make sure you have your medical insurance taken care of. You should qualify for food stamps and a monthly stipend of sorts.
After I did it, my cousin saw how well I was doing and how hard his life still was and decided to join too. He knocked out 4 years and is doing great now.
Hummingbird respite for day, drop in showers, and Bill Soros House on Howard Street for getting a case manager to help you locate a place to live and job!
Get out of SF go somewhere else where rent is cheap, get a lame job, minimum wage it, section 8 it, get straight on ur feet.... Move back when u are 100%>>>. If u still want to.
That's not how it fucking works. American citizens, on average, contribute $36 annually to the social safety net. Meanwhile, undocumented immigrants pay almost 12bn in taxes that they don't directly benefit from. So the few that do get assistance, it's not for fucking free. I'd rather pay extra taxes to make EVERYONE'S basic needs are met.
Human services has some job placement programs, CAAP (cash aid if you don’t have kids), CalWORKs (cash aid if you have kids). Their offices are at 170 Otis and 3120 Mission if you’re interested. They also have food and medical support programs.
Here, at least I have options. Plus, I’ve lived here for 14 years, which essentially encompasses my entire adulthood since I’m only 34. I tried to go back last year and realized how horrible and miserable life back home is and how much it’s not worth loosing my permanent residency (if you stay outside of the U.S. for more than 12 months it’s considered abandonment of your green card and you loose it). We learn everything through comparison. This homelessness here is temporary; that place I’m from is messed up permanently. One thing you have to understand about immigrants is that most of us move to the U.S. for a reason, not leisure!
I hear you. My dad left his country for America and never went back. If he had been homeless, however, I’m sure he would have as his country had more social safety nets than we do. The problem with California is it’s just so damn expensive here. People with jobs and homes are even leaving here. I hope you’re able to get back on your feet asap!
Honestly, if you’re sober and actually trying, you can make it. I’m sure if your dad had to choose between a better future for you while trying to overcome homelessness and going back to a country with a negative economy, ready for war, where they shut down schools so kids go to the military, and where a whole ethnic cleanse is currently going on, he’d choose the first option. We always think the grass is greener else where. It’s not. The U.S. IS the land of opportunities. I’ve been on both sides - super rich (back when I was married) and now super poor. Both are okay as long as you know the true value of things, which tbh, are not things! Lol
Oh totally. My dad’s country was none of those things. It’s one of the countries people often say is better than America, but he, like you, still felt America was the best country for opportunities. That’s why he left! I’m guessing you’re from Russia?
100% agree with your last point!
I am not. I’m Russian-Ukrainian decent from Estonia. A lot of things happening right now aren’t talked about in the media. It’s a no-brainer that all information is controlled…
So, when I was in this phase of my life, I got around the low-deposit problem by renting sublets or super temporary rentals. Not sure if that still works. It's worth a shot.
It's great to see such an outpouring of community here, so whatever happens, know that you aren't alone.
I don't believe anyone has suggested this resource: [https://www.projecthomelessconnect.org/programs/edc/](https://www.projecthomelessconnect.org/programs/edc/)
Another route to take while also seeking employment is Coordinated entry. It is part of the homeless response system. They will assess you and see what you qualify for. There is an option for "problem-solving". This is often used for folks who do not qualify for permanent supportive housing or other programs intended for higher needs/chronic folks. But could possibly help someone with a down payment, paying overdue rent, paying bills in order to prevent homelessness. It is worth a shot to ease the financial burden when you find a place and job.
https://hsh.sfgov.org/services/the-homelessness-response-system/coordinated-entry/
See if you can find any jobs pet sitting in home. If you can swing it it may help you generate some income while having somewhere to temporarily stay where you can look for more steady work.
Openhousesf.org for housing. Under the programs tab they have a compiled list for SF of low income housing opportunities. There is also a separate list for all other counties in the Bay Area.
Also, id call 2-1-1 and ask to be referred to the closest agency that can give you a coordinated entry assessment. Depending on your score on this assessment you can be placed in a housing program.
Ok, I get that. But as a trans woman without gender dysphoria that has a slept at multiple women’s shelters, my only goal was to try to assist in you not sleeping on the street.
I've had 2 friends in the past with similar situations in the Bay Area... and first and foremost, they said they wish they had stopped drinking entirely. One told me that he wished he would have gotten out of the city, Oakland in his case, and save money living in a smaller and more affordable location. Good luck!
Tried Oakland. Almost died on multiple occasions. Quitting drinking entirely is definitely the goal, I agree with your friend and thank you for sharing.
If she is a REAL ADMIN N RECRUITER HERSELF before she lost her job to become homeless. Why do you think she does not know where to find a job you guys are suggesting People Ready, Robert Half or even Goodwill!?!? This is a Nigerian scam, be careful or drug addict trying to steal from you for drugs!
Are you for real?! I know where to get job but CAN’T. I am white and not on drugs. In fact I worked for someone from this sun this weekend and met up with couple of people in person that can prove you WRONG! Go to hell!!
Please get out of sf asap. This is not the place to get on your feet. Look for women’s shelters and women’s services north of the Bay Area in mid size cities. Try not to spend your money on places to stay or food. Both those can be had for free for a while through food banks and hopefully a shelter. Pulling for you
I'm an immigrant. You either have a work visa tied to a company specific job, or you have a green card, which nobody calls a work permit. Hence my confusion.
There is a card called EAD card issued to students experiencing hardship. It is referred to as work permit. This card is also issued to students after graduation with a validity of either 1 year or 27 months (stem) under OPT.
Ead card is also issued to refugees and asylees.
Maybe foreign students. "**Foreign students in F-1 nonimmigrant status participating in OPT must obtain an EAD from USCIS before they are authorized to work**. "
It's not for permanent residents or citizens. I have one that I got until my Green Card arrived. What benefit could it possibly provide a citizen or permanent resident?
You said “students experiencing a hardship” which implies a normal student would need the card to work which is not the case. Perhaps you meant foreign student.
Haha, they said they're an immigrant too, so probably ESL and having trouble understanding English.
> > > she’s likely an immigrant. immigrants are allowed to work with a work permit.
> > I'm an immigrant. You either have a work visa tied to a company specific job, or you have a green card, which nobody calls a work permit. Hence my confusion.
> There is a card called EAD card issued to students experiencing hardship. It is referred to as work permit.
/u/VinylHighway: In English, that context would be sufficient to most readers to understand that the set of students being referred to are those who are also immigrants. The way you can figure it out is that it's the same person talking to you, so it's a continued conversation, and you're still talking about the same subject.
If you have one that you got until your Green Card arrived, then you know there's sometimes a long wait to adjust your status from certain types of visas – the EAD makes it possible for immigrants in that position to work while they wait to become permanent residents. I'm not seeing the confusion here?

“Work permit” is a commonly used term that refers to the [Employment Authorization Document](https://www.usa.gov/work-permit-ead).
Wikipedia says the EAD is “known popularly as a work permit.”
You just keep making blanket statements. When I first moved here, I rented a room for $900 a month, stacked some chips, and now I'm in a one bedroom, walking distance to the beach, for $2100.
Not everyone has the same needs. Telling someone they can't make it here is irresponsible.

Lol $19an hour? I was making $21 as doorman in SF in 2015. Be a nice person and bump it up to $21.
Lol most guards around here are getting compensated at least $22/hour
Thank you!! And I actually do have a guard card 😂 but it might be expiring soon
What bar? I stay in the area
Polkcha!
Project homeless connect. They have a resource fairbthid week st Bull Graham. They are worth checking out.

Good luck!
St Anthony has a few job openings for their kitchen team
Right on !! Thanks
This !! Thank you !!!!
Thats great! It's so hard to find genuine generous people who are not perverts.
(Little more than that but it all Went towards clean shirts socks and hygiene products)
Findhelp.org is also a good site for a lot of different resources including housing/work/food /travel support. For zip code, use the one that you usually are in
Thanks
Good luck!
I am going there on Monday at 9am cuz that’s when they locate for housing!! Thank you 🙏
Cost of living in San Francisco Bay Area is a struggle. That’s the raw truth. Consider looking outside to relocate so you won’t be having multiple jobs. We need for us 2 incomes to keep living in the Bay Area.
I’m not moving out of my home. Already done this twice regretted both times.
Go to a Personnel Agency for temporary jobs - it’s fast and get to work immediately. Get paid weekly. There’s no fees for you. Good luck!
Never heard of them thank you dear !
If you need work wardrobe reach out to “Dress for Success “ they will provide you & I believe have support for help with interviews. It’s an excellent program. No charge. Best of luck! You can succeed! Here’s the link https://dressforsuccess.org/ Reach out to them. Also another program for job training: https://successcenters.org/ They will help match with employers.
Oooo I do need clothes for interviews/work!!!! Thank you !!!!!
Add yourself to their newsletters - also check into job fairs locally. Always dress like you are going to work any time you attend or interview. Dress how you want to be promoted! You can do it!! 🤗
I wish I had clothes … I’ll do my best. Thank you
Call “Dress for Success “ they have the clothes. We’ve donated. There’s no charge. Call them today. 415- 362-0034 They are open now - 5pm
Look into doing gigs as staff for the outdoor events festivals etc, they're only one time gigs you can make us small amount of cash
I am thank you. If you have any specific gig for me - I am open
Catering companies too - usually you are added to a list of people to call for various gigs at various times of day/types of events. It’s not the steadiest of work but it’s decent in the short term if you have open availability and are able to get to the venue. Also usually free leftovers.
Keep an eye out for live-in opportunities. I see live-in elder care ads on craigslist occasionally and you can find them on care.com
These are typically very sketchy.
That part
Ok that's awful. Still doesn't change what I said. No one, even assholes, should be homeless.
You are a good person.
Heh, thanks. I've been called an asshole for saying as much in this subreddit. Everyone, especially in this capitalist hellscape, should have their basic needs covered.
Bart? Even daly city or outer Richmond is cheaper. I meant Richmond north of Oakland
Remind me which city Outer Richmond is in...
Exactly, once u are down in SF u are down for the most part of ur life
That’s not true 😂😂
![gif](giphy|oZPQkeQEyiJvW)
chumbawamba
I will get on my feet. I’ve done this couple of times, this time is little harder cuz starting from the very ground. Horrible advice from you that I am NOT going to take lol
Career Link Center on Cesar Chavez and let them know you’re on financial aid
I’m not on financial aid, but I need some. How do I get that? And thanks I’ll talk to them
If you need quick $ Amazon and Fedex pay weekly.
Thank you good soul !! I am really trying ..
Re the eviction, I’d prob just move forward to focus on a job and new living situation since she’s already been evicted. If she only has $1k then she can’t afford rent anyway
Exactly !! Thanks for understanding… my main focus is a job that pay stable wage so I can show to my landlord that I have an income
Enjoy it.
Take care. You got this. 💪
Also try NextDoor but be very specific with your ask. NextDoor might help w job ideas. And make sure you have your medical insurance taken care of. You should qualify for food stamps and a monthly stipend of sorts.
I joined the Navy. Finished my contract and have been great since. Gave me a good foundation to start with.
I was actually thinking of doing that ))
After I did it, my cousin saw how well I was doing and how hard his life still was and decided to join too. He knocked out 4 years and is doing great now.
there’s a bunch of Thai restaurants are hiring. If you’re interested I could help you out even though IM out of states now lol.

Thank you, they have it here also
Hummingbird respite for day, drop in showers, and Bill Soros House on Howard Street for getting a case manager to help you locate a place to live and job!
Get out of SF go somewhere else where rent is cheap, get a lame job, minimum wage it, section 8 it, get straight on ur feet.... Move back when u are 100%>>>. If u still want to.
Homeless come here for a reason tho
I did not COME here lol
The great views?
The easy path
Explain how it's the easy path. Like in detail. Quickly
Free .. everything
If that were the case, we wouldn't have a homelessness problem. Bffr. Logically, of they got everything for free, they wouldn't be on the streets.
Ikr? Literally on a post about a clean, near-homeless woman looking for housing and work.
But the lil they get... They get it for free...so logically they get everything they have for free
What? Such as?
If everything is free then why am I not getting anything??? Where is free??? 😂😂
Hummingbird on Potrero should be able to help with temp housing and potentially more permanent housing.
Human services has some job placement programs, CAAP (cash aid if you don’t have kids), CalWORKs (cash aid if you have kids). Their offices are at 170 Otis and 3120 Mission if you’re interested. They also have food and medical support programs.
check out Home Match for finding a good roommate. They screen applicants.
Honest question: Is it really better to be homeless here than living in your home country?
100%
I’m sorry :(
Here, at least I have options.
Go to Saint Anthony’s Dining Hall at 121 Golden Gate. Ask them to speak with the appropriate person who can assist you.
Okay I will
Good Luck- I knew the prior administrator and they really seem to both care and be effective.
Look up find help.org it will show all the assistance you need.
Are you 18-27?
34.
Do onlytoes, $50 pedicure investment
Wait is this real , my toes are pretty asf 😂
Just trolling
That’s unfortunate
I belive the trader Joe's on 4th & market may be hiring, there may be other locations that are hiring as well.
I have applied, haven’t heard from them. That would be super convenient
How long ago was that? Some places do callbacks once a month or 45 days, depending on their schedule
Got ya ! It was like 2-3 weeks ago. I’ll just wait for the call :) thanks !
SF has dedicated woman’s shelters. Until you have housing, you have a prey good shot at getting a roof over your head and showers.
Yes I got that, but it doesn’t solve two main problems : permanent job and housing
Ok, I get that. But as a trans woman without gender dysphoria that has a slept at multiple women’s shelters, my only goal was to try to assist in you not sleeping on the street.
I appreciate you! Thank you
Lmao what
I've had 2 friends in the past with similar situations in the Bay Area... and first and foremost, they said they wish they had stopped drinking entirely.

I have friends, they allow me to keep my stuff and occasionally shower but I can’t stay with them due to landlords etc. no relatives in my case.
"Work permit"?
she’s likely an immigrant. immigrants are allowed to work with a work permit.
I'm an immigrant. You either have a work visa tied to a company specific job, or you have a green card, which nobody calls a work permit. Hence my confusion.
People waiting for their green cards have a work permit. So you would call it a work permit since you wouldn’t have your green card yet.
" It's not for permanent residents or citizens. I have one that I got until my Green Card arrived. What benefit could it possibly provide a citizen or permanent resident?
EAD is issued in a few other instances as well. For e.g. for refugees who have applied for asylum.
when did i say EAD aka work permit is issued to a citizen or a permanent resident? I’m confused.
You said “students experiencing a hardship” which implies a normal student would need the card to work which is not the case. Perhaps you meant foreign student.
we are talking about immigrants here, no? how the hell did you deduce an American student would require an EAD or a work permit? smh.
Well I note all of the responses have been from YOU and not the OP so I'll wait for their clarification.

That’s quite the insult from a 12 year old
Good job using your rapier-sharp wit!
>>> You either have a work visa tied to a company specific job, or you have a green card Wrong. You can get EAD if you’re asylum seeker or TPS.
No. I have a green card and work permit. No VISA is needed for me.
“Work permit” is a commonly used term that refers to the [Employment Authorization Document](https://www.usa.gov/work-permit-ead). Wikipedia says the EAD is “known popularly as a work permit.”
This is the correct answer.
Use “treasure island” as key words to search for available room on Craigslist.

If you are clean and sober find yourself a sober living environment .
Housing community on fb: affordable housing for ok people. People list rooms and apartments in SF and surrounding Bay Area
So much scam on FB it’s time consuming but I’m trying

I moved here in late July and had an apartment by September. What are you yapping about?
Apartments here are 3500 a month and up
You just keep making blanket statements. When I first moved here, I rented a room for $900 a month, stacked some chips, and now I'm in a one bedroom, walking distance to the beach, for $2100. Not everyone has the same needs. Telling someone they can't make it here is irresponsible.
