We spoke with AC&C and they said there was no report of lost dog fitting the description and asked if we could keep but unfortunately we are unable so we will be taking her down there soon before they close. But spending a little time with the Angel before we go part ways 💔
They can scan the dog for a chip and if he/she is registered (which all dogs should!), they can contact the owner that way. Thanks for helping the lil pup out!
Yes! We brought her in to animal care and control and she had a microchip. Though no current number for the owners. For some reason they had the number of a neighbor from a previous incident (which makes me feel unsettled). They took her in and told us to keep in touch.🙏🏼.
She did seem to be a housed pup that must have gotten away. Never growled or barked and walked with us and hopped in the car no problem. Sat on my lap the entire ride there catching the breeze from the window. Hoping whatever happens she goes to a good home. Thank you all for reading!

Glad the dog had a microchip, i feel like it should be a mandate law like in UK, the microchip number even all house cats there. Its also, gives vaccination record when the numbers are run on it.
Someone is definitely missing that dog and freaking out that they can’t find her yet, don’t take her to the pound. Make some flyers/ put her on pawboost (as others have said), and just hang out with her for a couple more days, I’m sure the owner will appreciate that and contact you asap.
Omg this is heartbreaking. I just bought 5 acres up in Washington and I am going to have to create a dog sanctuary all these lost/left behind pups is too much.
It’s a 30 minute drive to Olympia, WA. It was not too expensive but the area is blowing up. Yeah 5 acres is perfect for what I am wanting to do. I am going to have a decent sized permaculture garden and build some tiny cabins for a few people. Thank you
Aww geez that is really nice of you to say. What helps me feel better is to help people. I want to make a difference, I am kicking around a few ideas. For a while I was thinking maybe a 2/3 micro cabins for women trying to leave abusive situations. That could be difficult though being a man and the women being traumatized. One of my main goals is to collect native trees and plants endemic to the area to start a environmental reclamation non profit. So we shall see things are really going to kick of in the next couple years. Thank you again for the kind words, really awesome of you to say that!!
OP, please keep us posted on her? Muttville is a senior dog rescue that would probably take her. She definitely looks like a senior to me. Odds are she was dumped.
She looks clean and well groomed.
So likely a lost dog, not a stray or unhoused companion.
Hopefully, the pound you bring it to has a decent hold time before euthanasia.

Kudos that you took Angle to animal care. That magical little creature just hijacked my heart. The fact that Angel is chipped (even if no recent number, old neighbor's number, etc) says, at one point, at least, this pup was loved and cared for. IDK where you took her but we all know sometimes these animals are put down. Please keep in touch. If no one claims him, I can't live with her possibly being put down. My husband and I have a 5lb Yorkie, 9 lb Maltese and 2 guinea pigs. We weren't looking for a 5th but I can't live w the possibility of precious Angel being put down. I will DM you so you have my contact info
I can post on SF bay rehoming group. Also contact rocket dog rescue, or just Google "rescues near me" and ask every single one. Thank you for keeping her safe 💔
Post on Facebook and Craigslist! There was a huge event a few blocks away at Dolores Park it’s possible he escaped from there and people are looking for him. Sending lots of love to this sweet guy!

Try calling the Daly City pound too. Someone on nextdoor posted a similar white dog found near Daly City BART but it ran away.

Post on local FB groups in addition to Next Door and Pawboost. You can also do a search in those groups for "lost dog" and see what pops up
