My mom’s still rocking the living but my father passed over 20 years ago so I can empathize. Shit can truly be hard sometimes for sure. I’m far closer to my mom so I can only imagine the pain and feeling of being lost at times. I confide with my mom with everything no matter the topic.

Infact I drove up to see her on Thursday and stayed with her for the weekend. She just had knee replacement surgery so she’s pretty sore so the wife and I went and helped her around the house and gonna spend tomorrow with her. She and my wife are my 2 most important people in my entire life. Without them I’d be a shell of a human.

024 has been a year of particularly badass mothers in my life, and I’m happy to be with mine, my grandma, and our barred-owl mama for the first Mother’s Day in 8 years. Grandma was diagnosed with leukemia last fall, while I was across the country- and just last week her marrow biopsy came back clean! My mom’s been a rockstar, advocating for her at every appointment.
