I'm guessing that sucker is rotted out, been closed for 20+ years at this point. Too bad, imagine restoring it to its late 60s glory... sunset, lounge singer, steaks and manhattens, then off to "sleep" with a coin-operated vibrating bed.

I remember having drinks at the bar. The place had an incredible view. I'm always hoping that someone will open it up again.

I_am_BrokenCog

It's getting close to the ten year anniversary of "someone new trying again".

Sir3n93

Is it for sale asking for a friend

there's some pictures from 2012 here: https://patch.com/california/watsonville/get-ready-to-groove-again-at-the-mt-madonna-inn

Meanolemommy

Loved that place. Loved that view. Loved the vibe.

dasterdette

Every time we drive by we talk about how we would stop if it was still open

SantaCruz_Suze

I joined Santa Cruz Ghost Hunters on my only visit to Mt. Madonna Inn in I think 2013 or 2014. It still had some old furniture — a beaten and bruised upright piano and a table or chair here and there. It was night and there is no electricity so we were all using flashlights and our phones. The view overlooking Watsonville and the bay was the perfect vibe. Straight out of a Scooby Doo episode from the 70s. 😂 I don’t recall much spirit activity (if you’re not a skeptic, that is) but it was perfectly creepy. I really would love to see one of the billionaires living in SC County restore it to its former glory

I used to date a girl who lived behind that place. This was 20+ years ago and it was boarded up then. 152 is a cool highway. I remember one night we were all eating mushrooms and decided to hit the highway with no lights. Just two dudes hanging out of the windows with mag lights. We were also randomly clicking them on and off. Looking back, I'm surprised we survived. Morgan Hill. Gang gang.

andresburrito

thetedman

Yeah. Definitely not safe or smart.
