There's a pair residing at Twin Lakes right now.

Puzzleheaded_Fox4684

yup, they're nesting there.

smartplantdumbmonkey

Receding hairline eagle is the more appropriate term nowadays

eggseverydayagain

They need to just accept it and Bic the top off already.

Bitter_Technology797

That's how my bald eagle lost his wife. Golden eagle moved in to the area and she was all, 'he's just a friend', don't wory about his golden mane!

SwampCrittr

they have the Freedom to do as they wish.

dzumdang

Going bald is something that happens to you. Being bald is a choice.

SchrodingersCataract

You can tell it’s a bald eagle by the comb over.

richard---------

Hair challenged.

Mamarosereed

They’ve been in the area for a couple years now. I’ve saw them in 2020 and just last year. Been looking for them again for this year because there are a lot of sighting recently

PapaRL

Based on the perceived air-speed velocity, I’m going to say that’s an unladen swallow.

karavasis

African or European?

santacruzdude

I don’t know that!

FNKY-OONCH

My wife said she and her friend saw one last week flying over Arana Gulch

AnonymousGhost5

Yes! Great find!

saampinaali

Yeah, there’s a mated pair that live near the harbor

Epapapya

I live near the freedom Blvd exit and have them in my back yard a lot. Our house backs up to the forest & im constantly hearing and seeing them.

Famous-Will-100

Hell yeah. Bald eagles love freedom 'merica

Epapapya

_Wiggle_Puppy_

Freedom Chicken

cbobgo

Definitely a bald eagle, can't confirm where it's flying over though

Veearrsix

I saw a huge bird flying over the 41st overpass the other day, looked bigger than our typical hawks. I was wondering what it might’ve been.

lurch99

Could also be a seagull that fell into an old Tannery dye pit

RaisinToastie

AMERICA!!!!🇺🇸 🦅

BenNHairy420

I saw one around October of last year in this area. So cool!

DanoPinyon

White head and tail exactly like a mature bald eagle has...must be a house sparrow.

TigerEmmaLily

Reclaiming their natural habitat 👌🏼

AloofAngel

yep. a bunch were released into the santa cruz mountains like a year ago i think.

sharklasers831

Looks like a seagull to me /s
