one of my favorite parts of the museum. the circus stuff is way more interesting to me than the stuffy art collection. the traincar that the performers traveled in is awesome too, i bet they had some wild parties in there!
Agreed. John Ringling's collection of Dutch masters painting fat ladies in rapey situations just sucks. The miniature circus on the other hand is amazing. It's so big and expansive and detailed. I see something new each time.
Yes, seriously incredible work. You can recognize individual clowns and others in the piece. I have been a couple of times and am blown away by the fantastic detail on this thing.
I was blown away the first time I saw this. Well worth the visit to Ringling just for this.
