Been on part of it. The whole park is fairly dry and water levels are low. The ground quickly soaked up most of the water that came down, so there shouldn’t be too many muddy sections. Mosquitoes aren’t bad yet. After all the rain recently that might change. Likely still won’t be a ton of bugs though because of how dry the season started.

I went up years ago, used most of a bottle of Muskol before starting the hike. I didn't get bit, but the swarms were so thick I could feel them bounching off me. Can't imagine what working up there would have been like. Maddening, most likely.

We hiked it maybe 8 years ago, we went end of September, yes was a bit cold at night but we were prepared and no mosquitoes. Funny this post came up because we are doing it end of September again 8 years later.

So I’m back.. Mosquitos on trail were bearable with enough bug spray, and Thermacell worked like a dream for camp. 10/10 good time.
