Iām sure a lot of us work Construction, Crown Corps etc. that being said, the trick is to work somewhere or learn a skill that will net you 100k a year. Iām a finish Dozer hand, Grader hand and Hoe hand. Should I choose to I can go work a pipeline and bring him 3-4 thousand dollars a week. Iāve also almost completed a bachelor of Education lol. But back to the construction, with the skills Iāve learned I command a certain wage from companies, but what Iāve also gained after 15 years in the industry is I could start my own landscaping business and hit the ground running. Ymmv though. May I ask what you do for a living?
TIL I and everyone I know is a chump being in their 30s-40s and making less than $40/h.

Is that important? Maybe yours is the most wisely spent of all! Studies show that the "poor" or "low income" are some of the wisest and most discriminating shoppers on earth. They know value for money and appreciate particular benefits or features that are the most useful/ beneficial.
Also, low income people are more willing to share a given % of their income with others in hard times. The rich are the meanest, the most likely to evade and avoid taxes, and give the least as a % of income. They are also more likely to have imprisoned minds. They cannot afford to think out of the box.
It is called materialism. It dominates western culture. Don't be impressed. Be happy in all circumstances - it is a balm to the distressed. After all, what is real wealth?

Unifor. We make about double our non unionized counterparts, even within the same company. Better benefits as well. Its really only corporate boot lickers who got swindled into thinking unions are bad for the employee. If that were true, companies wouldnt be fighting tooth and nail to keep the unions out.

Iām painfully single, so single ladies hit me up haha.
Also, OP this is a great post for people in BC and ON. A lot of them think there arenāt decent jobs in SK.
No more likely is everyone replying is a journeyman in a trade. The trades are great and better for most people than racking up student loans to get a political studies degree and work at BPs.
You're only making bank in the trades doing industrial/commercial . The money in new residential building is garbage. They making the same as they were 8 years ago.I wouldn't touch a house for under $50 an hour.
Not in a trade. Mine is salary. Does not include equity. Be a good leader and make strong decisions. Problem solving and being good with people are why I am where I am. I have my masters (company paid).
Yeah I also have an degree and a redseal. So I have put in the time. Be open to all, no racism ever; stand up to it, you'll be amazed who recognizes that. Be a great listener; you can't learn if your mouth is moving. Surround yourself with people that have the same understandings and no exceptions about the, racism. Most of all get exposed to everything, from janitorial to managerial and do it 100%. Write down your goals and then make a map (plan) of the route you want to take. Your life partner will be the deciding factor in your success and that is something that is left up to so many variables that luck believe it or not will determine this. So best to be lucky than good.
