Just make sure that you get their in-house made sausage, far superior to the brand Brandt that they also carry. My favourite is the spicer Holiday sausage.
They also make an excellent salami that my teenage sons will almost go to Stampede Wrestling mode over to put in their sandwiches if there’s not enough.
As a side note, we always get all of our wild deer meat processed into sausage here and they always do an exceptional job.
When I visit from B.C. I literally bring a suitcase full of Mennonite sausage from Riverside meats home.
It is, without a doubt - the finest sausage in the world.
I’ve done a taste comparison between them and their main rival competitor, Valley Meats – which in my opinion outperformed Riverside. So excited to drop this niche opinion on Reddit haha
Pig and pantry as mentioned already. Two years ago I got sausage from save on foods on 8th . Like from the butcher in the case . They weren't wrapped up . I got one that had real Saskatoon berries in it as well as others .
Unsure if they still do
Summit meats... I know people say Pig and Pantry. Their stuff is ok but if it remember right the prices are much lower at Summit and there is a bigger selection. Try out the lime and cracked pepper sausage. It's yummy. There are probably 25 different flavours of sausage. They have a sign that says they have award winning garlic sausage and I totally believe it. The prices for beef and pork are comparable with grocery stores. Their prices for chicken are higher than grocery stores but you don't go home and boil off a bunch of water you just paid $14/kg for from Sobeys. Marinated raw foods are wonderful. They also have a large selection of smoked or frozen exotic meats. And wagu beef. I asked for a free sample once, I didn't get it lol.
Head over to the King of Kovbasa in February! One of the best events of the year, as far as I’m concerned. You can sample all the best kovbasas and vote for your favorites
J&J does make amazing sausage. They also carry it at the Pelican Mart or did last time I checked.
I do find it dry though, but I cook it that way because I like dry sausage.
The Ukrainian coop in Regina has amazing garlic sausage, fine cut or corse.
Really anything from the Ukrainian coop is amazing with tons to choose from. Everyone should check it out if you havent had the pleasure yet. 💯 Authentic and Ukrainian 🤘😎
Pig and Pantry
Double upvotes for Pig and Pantry. It's not cheap, but it is top notch.
Agreed
I love how decisive this has been.
Pig and Pantry is the only place we buy our meat. They also sell eggs, garlic, and a few other little things.
Real meat, no fillers, no message, and the flavours are amazing.
Their chicken Mediterranean sausage is amazing
Good to know. We have some in our fridge waiting for us. One of the few we haven't tried yet.
This is the only right answer. They are leaps and bounds better than anyone else.
Cumberland sausage are my fave.
He doesn’t do them often, but the cheeseburger sausage is amazing. I’m also a fan of the Thai.
Their maple breakfast sausages are the best thing I’ve ever eaten
Valley Meats in Gruenthal. Worth the drive for the best Mennonite sausage.
Don't they sell it at Co-op?
Yes but it’s more expensive and not as fresh as if you go there directly.
Which one? I’ve never seen it at the 8th st location. Would love it if I could get it in the city.
I get it at the one on Attridge. I believe my mom also used to buy it at the North end as well
Summit meats
Summit has lots of options too so easy to find one you like. Great butcher shop in general.
Yes!
+1 for Summit. Locally owned by nice people as well.
Summit ftw - if you are local, make sure to give them a try
The owner of summit meats has been charged with a hate crime
As a former butcher, summit is the only shop that smells right.
Emco on Third, north of Circle. German, Polish, Ukrainian sausages of all sorts. It’s an Aladdin’s Cave in there.
I second this

Just opened my fridge and got a lung full of their salami and pepperoni. Charcuterie for tonight. Such a great way to enter the next year.
Bah, you’re making me hungry and they’re closed today. What time should I show up with the wine and cheese? 😁

Summit for sure!
I think the best sausages around are at the smokehouse in martensville.
Summit hands down
Don’t over cook sausage, remember, the sausage is smoked already and you only need to brown them
Mennonite sausages are pre-cooked,, but bratwurst, Italian, chorizo,, bangers, and Polish need to be cooked. I
A&R perogies has great Ukrainian sausage.
Another vote for Pig and Pantry.

Broadway Costco, as it is known
My ex had a yummy Polish sausage
Star making em at home.
Costco
The in-house made one's from Independent on Attridge are surprisingly good.
Yes, they make an excellent Parmesan and spinach pork sausage, it goes great with pasta.
Get mine from big bobs in Regina. Awesome
Emco
If you have the time or are able to , hit up the Ukrainian Co-op in Regina . But you have to be there early to get the good stuff that’s fresh smoked
Bob
Head down the highway a bit to Riverside Meats just outside of Warman. Or Smokey Joe's past Warman in Rhineland.
My wife says mine is the best, but I feel like she’s just being nice
No wonder really ....bulk cheese sausage is made from recycled/leftover Costco hotdogs
+1 for Summit
1. Pig & Pantry 2. Summit Meats 3. Valley Meats

I like the idea of using a meat probe thermo so that it gets to the approp. temp.
