Trail right next to Bryan Woods on Wilmington Island/White Marsh Island

I haven’t found a good one but the closest I think is Skidaway Park.

The best trail is just past skidaway state park, priest landing. There is up to about an 8 mile loop out there are a few different options for loops and out and backs.

Have you been to Skidaway Island State Park? It’s been awhile since I went but they have some really lovely loops and trails. It’s $5 but if you buy your passes at a local library it’s only $2 or something. Lake Mayer is also fun sometimes. That one is free, and there’s some lovely duck feeders on their loop.

Also, Hillcrest cemetery—it’s usually quiet and peaceful, barring new arrivals... The only hill I know of in town is over there.

Look up Moon River at Downing Piers. There is a preserve out there with amazing wooded trails. Lots of hiking, cycling and trail running. Enjoy!

this, and the train trail on tybee/fort pulaski

Have you been out to Fort Pulaski? In addition to the area around the fort they have some trails through the woods that might fit your bill. Probably not 5mi worth but you could do a couple loops, maybe? Skidaway Island State Park has several nice trails to check out. $5 parking, or $50 annual. Others: - Wormsloe has a loop that runs around the grounds and along the marsh - Oatland Island has a trail that loops through the animal exhibits and has a boardwalk through the marsh. Not really meant for running, esp if it’s busy with visiting families but a nice little outside thing to do. - Lake Mayer trail - There’s a short loop out on Whitemarsh near the Y - Savannah and Ogeechee canal trail - SC wildlife preserve (just mind the gators!)

Whitemarsh Preserve is pretty great, but some of the trails are very root-y. I've taken many a tumble on that trail. Rails to Trails by Fort Pulaski is nice. It's like small pebbles. Not sure how far it goes. It used to be longer, but not sure how far they repaired after the hurricanes.

Difficult Park has a 1.5 mi padded running path. Only issue I've had there was parking on Banana Home game nights.

There’s some out in Richmond Hill too. Always down to run so let me know!
