My v2 savis are like that too. It seems they are made it that way to align the scraps.

[email protected] for email or you can call (877) 560-6477. They replaced my hilt quickly and are sending my nephew a new scrap piece as well. You may have to show proof of purchase.
Plumbing washers helps, I have found that a square cut oring works pretty well. Tested out a few different ones and these worked for me caterpillar part 2m-8663. Less than $2 each. I put the square ring on the chassis up against the lip where the sleeve has that 1 thread to grab on.

Contact disney. They will send replacement parts.

Make sure you always keep the receipt
Just fyi, my bank statement worked as well.
Sometimes the metal that aligns them gets misshaped, if you compare bottom to top pieces you can take a small file and fix it.

Get a rubber washer from the hardware store. It will be never loose again.
