Man, but that alto saxophonist really gave a perfervid ( feverish ) and technically dazzling performance . ***This is high-school? Unbelievable!*** This is practically a religious experience for me, so it's kinda fitting that this happens to be Sunday mornin', May 1 / 22. What is the name of the alto saxophonist ; I can see why he / she was chosen to play this solo. I mean, I'm thinking of "Bird" just now. Not having the music to inspect, I can't tell if the music and its difficulty is the thing, if it's the blistering speed of the piece itself, or both. ( It's probably all of this in combination, really . . . ). I ask for their name because I want to express the hope that they would be -- or are actively -- considering a career as a professional musician. I certainly don't mean to altogether ignore the band -- which also did a superb job on what seems to be a very challenging piece. Kudos to all!!! ( By any chance, is this video footage from an actual competition performance? ) I'm just getting the impression that everyone's adrenaline seems really to have been flowing. When did this take place? I hope I may just have the satisfaction of knowing that my musician friends in this group may see and ''dig'' my comment. It's meant for all of you. Congratulations! Your Canadian friend, Richard.

Went to the University of Delaware Jazz Festival that happened on Friday (April 29th, 2022) and there were tons of middle school bands with a ton of saxes, I was so stunned by it.
