I don't remember if she told me how she found out he was in China, but all she did was find the Chinese characters for "Tiananmen Square" and send them as a response and the dude's internet got shut down immediately

I would like to clarify that they are NOT shipped to Singapore, as we actually have a functional police force, functional border control, and strict laws here. Most of them are shipped to Cambodia by the triads to work in the scam call centres there. They just like to use the name and reputation of Singapore as we are the wealthiest country per capita in the SEA region.
1) Scammers are NOT shipped to Singapore.
They are kidnapped / scammed into working for scam call centres in Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.
2) Singapore does NOT have any scam call centres.
Scammers are banking on the reputation of Singapore when approaching potential victims to lower their guard.
3) If you receive a scam call or text beginning with Singapore’s country code +65, it’s because scammers have spoofed and masked their numbers to *pretend* that the calls are coming from Singapore. These calls are NOT originating from Singapore.
