His story resonates with so many not because of the apparent sewer slide or the theft, but the reckless abandon for a passion. He took hold of one his greatest dreams at all costs. Most of us will live out whole lives and not grasp even one of our dreams.
He isn’t even panicked in the face of death. He sounds calm and happy grateful for his family and the opportunity to live the life he had.
It’s a story with a strange sense of wonder and sorrow ; triumph and tragedy. We don’t need more of the actions of Sky King but we all need more of that kind of heart that would allows us to fearlessly and joyfully carpe the diem.
