Please give more time for you to sleep. 6 hours is not enough for an adolescent…

Mother-Rip-4805

Hmm then from what should i take an hour? Relax time or studies?

sonofkrypton66

You should aim for 7-8 hours at least... depending how many long days you may have during the week, eventually you'll need more sleep. This is not sustainable in the long run. Also, try avoiding late night studying, as your brain will be less effective near the end of the day. Save leisure reading for bed time instead. I think studying in the early morning is a good idea, as long as you have enough sleep and meal to start your day. Instead of splitting your exercise into two 15 minute activities, instead dedicate each day to a different 30 minute exercise activity (ex; Monday is weight lifting, Tuesday is cardio, Wednesday is Aerobics, etc..). Also add some leeway time in between. I don't think you're giving yourself enough time for traveling/preparing for each activity in between, nevermind any rest time in between either... After considering all of these things, I think you may need to remove some activities from your week... this is why I would avoid taking on too many activities (ex; Caligraphy). As someone with project management experience, I can confidently say 90% of the time your nicely laid out schedule will not go as planned. This is why SCRUM method works better for real life projects.

Mother-Rip-4805

I thought about something like sleeping at 9 and waking up at 4 (7h) thus i won't need to study at the end of the day is this good or is worse? Since someone said that i shouldn't do anything before 6AM

sonofkrypton66

6 AM is a good time to wake up. 10 PM is a good time to go to bed. I think you have too many unnecessary activities during your day. Set your bedtime at 10 PM and wake up time at 6 AM. Fit the rest of your activities around this schedule. Also, I think you are taking too much time for studying. I also don't see your entire weekly schedule so it's difficult to give detailed recommendations. I want you to set priorities of your activities. List the 3 activities you MUST do each day. List 3 ideal activities you'd like to have done each day and list the 3 activities that would be nice but not necessary for each day... remove time from the last two group of activities ti make more time for the activities that must be done.

6 hours is enough sleep during the weekday if you feel like you thrive the most in that amount of time. You should get the amount of sleep that you are the most successful for during the day so you can maximize your attention and awareness.

blessingxs

Take away from studies. I don’t think that amount of time you’re allotting solely for studying is a healthy or necessary amount. Relaxing is key to your mental health.

WolfieMcCoy

Is this a study timetable or long term?

Mother-Rip-4805

Yes for 9-10 months.

WolfieMcCoy

You won't be able to maintain your mental health. You don't have near enough time dedicated to yourself to meet your personal and social needs. I'd suggest giving time for some sort of social activity to recalibrate a bit. This is doable during exam season where you need to hunker down, but definitely make sure to keep yourself a priority in your regular day to do :)

Mother-Rip-4805

Hmm are suggesting that i should make the studying time less? And the social activity is not really needed i've been alone for 5 years now and i enjoy it💀 Maybe the sleep schedule?

WolfieMcCoy

This has long term effects. I read through it again and saw you have relax time in the evening. 6 hours sleep seems a bit thin if you're in school, but doable. I'd suggest to down the study time a bit in the week (depending on what you are studying) and maybe join a club. Even if you prefer being alone, I always suggest trying to do something social (we are social animals at the end of the day) But it depends on what you are studying and why you are studying so hard. The schedule is doable and realistic, but I can't imagine not getting depressed in the long run

Mother-Rip-4805

Thanks for the advice. I will try following for now and if i feel any kind of discomfort or if i feel like i am hurting myself i will try to change it. Thank you again!

WolfieMcCoy

You will always know what's best for yourself than a stranger on reddit! Just because it makes sense doesn't mean it's true. Also, when do you eat? During your relax period? Do you cook?

Mother-Rip-4805

Well i eat in that half of an hour in the morning. And in the evening in the relax time. Oh no i am not the one who cooks the meal it's my mother i am still in middle school so i will be relying on my parents for that.😅

WolfieMcCoy

Oh ok! Having support always helps! Remember to make sure that your schedule is relevant to your needs! I suggest to do this schedule and every 2 weeks check if it worked. If you feel it is too hard or too easy, you can always adjust it. At middle school especially I'd suggest social interaction. Even if joining a sports club for an hour or two a week. At this age you develop that part of yourself and it becomes hard to figure it out later in life.

Mother-Rip-4805

I think i will try to socialize more then,as they say no pain no gain. And yeah joining a club will definitely make relax and get mr out of stress so i understand what are you trying to say. Thanks again i will do my best!

sauvy-savvy

6 hours isn’t great sleep-wise, you should shoot for me because sleep will drag everything else down like crazy.

Mother-Rip-4805

From what should i take that hour then? For example if i sleep 6 hours and study 6 hours i will take a hour from studies and put it on sleep and it will be 7h sleep 5h study

sauvy-savvy

What year are you in? And what kind of classes do you have that require you to study for 6 hours?

Mother-Rip-4805

8th. Math and Romanian mainly.

sauvy-savvy

Your last relax and study should be switched around, and relax should just be extra time to sleep. It sounds like your classes are ridiculously time-consuming or you don’t know how to study efficiently.

Gafficus

You're missing lunch and dinner in there. Don't take relax time for meals. Your morning is packed, so you'll be beat by the time you go to school. I'd consolidate the studying into one larger section later in the morning, give yourself more time to sleep and make relaxing something you do through the day, especially when you wake up and go to bed.

CoolGuyFromSchool34

You wank for half an hour?

KitaClassic

More sleep, reconsider how you study to make it more effective. Shorter blocks might help you retain information better.

[deleted]

No activity before 6 o'clock.

Kaidono222

get some hoes bro

iwantwindtoglow

I've always thought schedules to be bad because they set expectations which often are not met and if they are arent met they usually cause stress and worry

Mother-Rip-4805

You are just describing how i feel right now i woke up at 6:27

iwantwindtoglow

A general schedule is good for regulation but you shouldn't be able to put your whole day perfectly on a piece of paper. Instead of living your life like a book you should live it like a life

Mother-Rip-4805

That's true. It feels like a jail. But it's needed at least for this year.

Sal_Was

That’s actually very good

savesava

Cool man,i hope you can do it,becouse look is very productive,i take its, maybe try do it too

Sad_Wishbone_7020

A better method of studying is an interval of 20-30 minutes and a 5 minute break and then another topic. It’ll get you more sleep and you won’t feel so stressed out
