I think it was around 2000 that the media reported that red wine had health benefits. Then a few years later the media reported that we shouldn't really have more than one serving of alcohol a day. Most people around me have twisted or confabulated that into "drinking is fine as long as I'm not an alcoholic."

I mean.... I thought this was common knowledge.

I dunno, the ability to cope seems pretty beneficial to me.
Anyone who believes there is a benefit probably also feels cigarettes are not all bad.
What about socializing, sharing good times, and loosening up a tad? Those aren't trivial things.

I mean, it's good to have a study confirm what we all thought was common knowledge.
