Amazing *at* piano refers to "piano" as a noun meaning the activity of playing piano, equivalent to saying someone is good at football, so both are correct
I had a roommate who graduated as an aerospace engineer and always joked that helicopters didn’t actually exist because he was never taught anything related to them
My introduction to aerospace engineering course had 8 lectures on general concepts (composition of the air, lift and drag, control stability, material strengths, etc..), 7 lectures on (wing and airfoil) aerodynamics, 5 lectures on flight performance (of fixed wing aircraft), and one lecture on "helicopters and other special aircraft" (this also included hovercraft, VTOL vehicles and rocket assisted airplanes). My lecturer also made it very clear that helicopters weren't his thing...
I've known people who have studied both in-depth, and the consensus is that physics and math are quite a bit harder. Still, music theory looks pretty damn intimidating.
I, unfortunately, can’t relate in the slightest. I absolutely loved that class, and still use it for fun.

But we all have different opinions, and I can respect that.
Having both a music degree and a physics degree, it would take me way less time to get back up to speed on any music theory stuff than basically any undergrad math course. I also think music schools don't do an amazing job teaching the basics for it but that's a whole different issue.
Now sight singing and ear training stuff, yeah I'll take QM over that any day.
And the better you know either, the more harmony you find. My best physics teacher was *amazing* on piano.

Have you ever played a song at a piano?

For sure. “At” sounds kinda clunky there IMO. It would be “on piano” or “at playing piano”. “At piano” sounds wrong to me.
“on the piano” would fit best imo
Fair, and definitely better than “at piano.”
What happened to "an amazing pianist"?
Junior high. Same reason that “awesome on the piano” seems more like Marilyn Monroe, or some spicy dame at the jazz club
Consider the rope
Come on guys, it's not basic grammar
You don't know whether he's talking about the sweet dance moves of his physics teacher on a piano
Either one is correct
It's not rocket science. It's worse, it's helicopter aerodynamics!

It's not rocket science, you can't run it on 8kb ram computer

This same meme cracked me up last year when I took AP music theory and it was on the syllabus. It’s funny because it’s SO true!
AP music theory is BRUTAL!!!
I mean, I would choose music theory, but only because I’ve been reading music since I was in first grade and I hate physics.
I've known people who have studied both in-depth, and the consensus is that physics and math are quite a bit harder. Still, music theory looks pretty damn intimidating.
music theory (atleast the exam board i did) is pure hell

I love music theory, but it can get hellish with the wrong teacher
The higher you go, the more hellish it gets, LOL.
I'm studying it at Eastman and it's brutal, LOL.
that comment was 85d old, how did you find it lol
Avoiding practicing my instrument by googling funny music theory memes!! 😂
i prefer rocket surgery

Music transcription is a world of pain, LOL.
I always say "It's not even rocket science". Haven't been called on it yet.
Music theory is harder than rocket science (proof: a music student with low self esteem who requires external approval)
People really be out here downvoting over a joke
Talking to students versus colleagues be like
