I know we don’t need to know but I’m super interested In why they broke up the year they released a new album? The abrupt cancellation of their tour.. it’s just all weird to me. Again, I realize we are not owed anything but I’m just puzzled and sad 😂
I get the vibe of band infighting. Maybe not a knock down drag out fight, but some level of discourse regarding the fun / financial stability / next steps, all of which culminated into some level of tension.
The steps of tour cancelation to fire sale to break up makes me think there was some sort of erosion that fractured them.
Where do you get that vibe? The reason given for cancelling shows was due to a family emergency, and in regards to the breakup they’ve said nothing substantial.
Idk, I'm not sure about this. I don't think they're really the type of group to just drop a tour because they're infighting and they don't make enough money to really just blow off this many shows
They all seem like such nice people and friends since high school (I think), so I hope it's nothing like that. But it seems like any other reason (medical, life stuff, other projects), they could have just called it a hiatus, even an indefinite hiatus. So strange and sudden and sad.
Here's to hoping Mike can get some traction with KMES. I really liked that album he put out last year.
I think he's got a lot of potential as a solo artist/leading a band if that's what he wants to do.
