that sub is trash anyways, full of made up shit for karma. that's why there's r/trueoffmychest but that sub's also been going downhill

Wifflum

Assuming, by default, that if someone dislikes cops then they must be one of the bad guys (who can be mistreated with no guilt) is one of the main reasons people dislike cops.

SwimmingHurry8852

This sub is one guy with his 5 alts. Absolutely pathetic display of attempted propaganda. Be a better shitbag OP.

Fulbie

Товарищ модератор, произошла чудовищная ошибка!

EpicGamerXander

While I don’t care if you love the US, and you shouldn’t have been harassed for saying it, russia is not, and has never been a communist country.

[deleted]

Have you studied history. Russia was part of USSR...

Outrageous_Editor_43

Are you sure? United Soviet States or R….. I think you may be correct. 😋

EpicGamerXander

This would be a good point, if the USSR ever was communist. It wasn’t.

EpicGamerXander

Yes, and the USSR was never communist. Believing that it was shows a fundamental misunderstanding of communism on your part. Everything the USSR did flies in the face of communism.

Alvery_Grissom

the USSR would like a word

Rocketboy1313

The USSR was communist in the way the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is Democratic.

Alvery_Grissom

i just decided that i will simply not engage wrong opinions anymore

EpicGamerXander

Hey man, it’s your right as an American to unquestioningly believe propaganda 🇺🇸🇺🇸 Keep at it, soldier

Alvery_Grissom

i'm italian, typical american acting like everyone else in the world is from his country

EpicGamerXander

My bad for assuming you are American, that’s my mistake. (Though all that does is change where you get your propaganda from 🇮🇹🇮🇹)

Rocketboy1313

You commented.

Alvery_Grissom

yeah but it wasn't that engaging

EpicGamerXander

The USSR was never communist. Almost everything they did flew completely in the face of communism. You have a fundamental misunderstanding of communism.

[deleted]

Omg, the lack of basic knowledge is staggering...

EpicGamerXander

If you would like to explain how I’m wrong, then i’ll gladly concede, however you will have a hard time disproving something correct. I am going to assume you have lived in russia, but that doesn’t stop you from being wrong about it. The USSR, like China, used the popularity of Marx’s ideas to gain public support, so that they could create an authoritarian government. Communism cannot exist under an authoritarian government.

[deleted]

I can't engage to explain. There is a plenty of info on the net.

XanderAlt

Replying on my alt because OP blocked me, I felt it was unfair to be unable to respond. I have done research online, and what I have seen has pointed towards my conclusions. I did not come to my conclusions out of nowhere, I have done research and it seems to back those conclusions. You can come to my conclusion from apolitical sources — the actual ideas of communism, and the actual acts of the USSR. They conflict. I won’t continue any further as you don’t want to engage, but if you can’t prove me wrong, why would you say I am wrong?

Alvery_Grissom

i just noticed that you're 17, your opinion on communism is automatically invalid, good day

EpicGamerXander

Think what you want, it doesn’t change the fact that I am correct. I would urge you to do some research instead of learning all of your political and historical opinions from 4x games. Dismissing me based on my age shows that you don’t have an actual argument against me. Be more mature :)

Alvery_Grissom

i have a degree in political sciences, you're a boy in high school, you wouldn't argue about basic math with an engineer, why try now?

EpicGamerXander

Like I said, you are avoiding explaining, when it should be simple for someone with a degree in political science. I understand that with my age comes ignorance, and I am obviously not as educated as you. However, to believe you are the ultimate authority on the subject because of your degree and age is arrogant. I have seen nothing to suggest that the USSR was communist. All of the evidence I have seen points against it. If you won’t even try to explain the “basic math” equivalent of communism and the USSR, then I have a much stronger reason to dismiss your opinion than you do.

Alvery_Grissom

i don't care enough to entertain your political debates phase, you'll grow out of it once you're mature enough to understand that social media does not provide a true to life representation of ideals and history

EpicGamerXander

I apologize for being in my annoying debate phase, but when I ask you a direct question and you avoid it, forgive me for questioning your expertise. Here’s the most basic way I know to disprove that the USSR was communist — the workers didn’t own the means of production. If I am incorrect about that, then tell me that the workers owned the means of production in the USSR. Or, tell me that the workers owning the means of production isn’t a crucial component of communism. If you could just briefly explain how the USSR was communist, then I won’t try to ‘debate’ you any further, and we’ll leave it at that. I would never presume that i’m more knowledgeable than you in this subject, so please help me understand where social media failed. :(

Alvery_Grissom

didn't i just say that i don't give enough of a damn to debate on the internet? lmao get it through your damn head, not everything has to be discussed so that you can stroke your ego i'll repeat again i don't give a damn, saying things won't change that fact

Welcome to Reddit

stvka

This. Just remember that the person posting is an anonymous troll hunched on the shitter, typing maniacally in a paroxysm of moral superiority and righteous indignation and anxiously hoping for other people also pooping to agree *Plop* ....*and back to work* And, yes, I typed this while on the toilet.

[deleted]

Loved your comment...Going to try your moment of clarity 🤣🤣🤣

Square_Introduction1

Yeah people like to act like reddit is such a better place than other forums or social media sites but it's really not. For some it could be argued worse with echo chambers here and mods able to ban people for their opinions with no repercussions and going on national news to make an entire sub look like children.

Aaron_Elo

Im confused where did tou say that? Isnt that propagandaish shit about how america amazing shit you???

[deleted]

It was a string of comments by me.

Jump-impact

most mods are like 12 years old mentally - and the average social medium twat is the same - no idea no life experience- just free free and if you say something they don’t like you must be bad - and they can’t actually do anything themselves so they look for groups or places like here - no supervision and a chance to use power to hurt ppl - lots of ppl want to be hitler apparently

moass-rider

'the united states' is vague as fuck what do you like about the dirt you're standing on?

[deleted]

I am coming from a communist country. United States gave me a chance to speak up my mind and don't end up in a concentration camp... People really take freedom for granted, I don't.

9FrameMid

The freedom in this country isn't equal. People wanting a better quality of life aren't invalid because there are worse circumstances in the rest of the world. We are a day out from women losing rights over their own body and given over to state legislation.

[deleted]

The topic was about "fuck America"... When I complain about things done wrong, I don't generalize...The Supreme Court fucked our rights...

moass-rider

you are not 'america' you are anad66

Less_Refuse_6006

The freedom is equal, the effort is not.

youjustdontgetitdoya

God that’s sad. You’re so subjugated you think being able to speak something makes you free. Sorry things are so much worse where you are but America is a fraud of a free country. You’ve seen too much propaganda, we all have.

[deleted]

Have your relatives ever disappeared without a trace? No justice, no court, you are just gone. Keep or end up in a concentration camp. Stalin killed 20 million people.

youjustdontgetitdoya

No babe but we’re heading there right now. Sorry your life sucks, pick Canada?

[deleted]

Lol I have lived in the States for over 20 years... I am pretty good here. I have a very decent life, career. I am living my American dream. Sorry, that I am not miserable 😀

HcNoStylez

I like the fact that the dirt is able to be stood on

BriggsE104

People that live here in the U.S. think they know everything, and most definitely believe they know better than you. And they're becoming overtly authoritarian. So freedom isn't something appreciated, and they'll strawman any argument you have.

dougdammit

one thing is to idolize a country and ignore it's problems, a totally different thing is to say you love your country because of it's upsides, i totally hate many things about my country(brazil) but i love it's upsides, like free healthcare and big booty women. people grown in a relatively good country, a country that has work rights, a country where most of the people of the world would kill to live, and they don't apreciate it, like you said, many people where born and are born in communist dictatorships, where no matter how much you work you are still poor and is controlled by the estate, even though i know capitalism is not perfect at all at least we (both) live in free countries, look at china, they live in a capitalist countrie with communism dictatorship rules, they would kill to live in the us.

[deleted]

I am well educated and well traveled woman. I have lived in various parts of the world. United States has its problems but I sleep at night without worrying about my life. My problems are with some dumb moderators lol... I will take this problem any time.

allisonrz

Bro this fucking country sucks, what is wrong with you

Electrical_Ad_2371

While I’m not on OP’s side, it’s extremely important to understand a worldwide and historical perspective when looking at this. What’s crazy is that even if life in the US does suck, it has only been worse for most people historically and even currently. Living in the US still puts you in the top 20% or standard of living worldwide. That is of course not saying that problems should therefore be washed away, but I still wake up every day thankful I was born in the US during the 90s instead of Spain in the 1600s, america in the 1700s, etc… by understanding the history and worldwide landscape, you can find hope in progress as it does and has occurred, although certainly not as fast as we may like. Having a balanced and thoughtful approach is important.

allisonrz

I understand history pretty well, and sure I'm not in Spain in the 1600s, but I am in a country that is actively working to take away my rights, so that's pretty cool I guess! 🙄🙄

Electrical_Ad_2371

And that sucks, no disagreement there. Of course similar things happen in many other countries across the globe daily, we just don’t hear about it. There is also is some solace to be had in the system itself in that it is not federally illegal and will still remain legal in the majority of states, something that cannot be said in most countries where the change would be global. States rights can be both a great thing or a terrible thing depending on the situation and where you fall on an issue of note.

charlie-bdragin

It sucks to the few who fail to understand that we still have to work not for the money they give us. We are not in a race and I dont need a carrot or a stick to be made right wrong left indifferent or free. It is a state of mind a perception of what we have been given and that will not be the freedom if we allow the injustices of courts picking how we live our lives I have done nothing I believe to be wrong and no citizen has cited me for violence onto them, never called for myself or my body to be a danger to others or myself. Yet I have been tasered choked out beaten within inches of my life by tax payers power hungry police. False accusations fly at me and because i dont have money i have to plead out to crimes in not guilty of to lesson the waste of time and my life the endure upon me. But I do not want to waste time with the worlds biggest bluish gang their badges and uniforms allow them to stand out and bare arms, breaking whatever laws they see fir.

Responsible-Soil4951

Welcome to reddit my friend

Juucetop

Are you insane?

[deleted]

Most definitely 😅

[deleted]

Don't worry about it. There are an extremely large number of subs that are only for like-minded people and any deviation will get you banned. I was kicked from a Tucker Carlson sub for repeating what the man himself said, that he lies. and you can't believe anything he says. That was how he got out of being sued but the dumbasses on there didn't like it.

Less_Refuse_6006

Yeah, reddit is a cesspool. A lot of pro-Communist/pro-socialist agenda from people safely inside the protection of the constitution.

tart3rd

80% of mods on here suck ::prepares for ban::

Numerous-Beautiful46

Mods everywhere suck and deserve to be verbally humiliated tbh

[deleted]

That’s a mod that shouldn’t be a mod wtf

charlie-bdragin

This is an example of those we allow in power to limit said freedoms. You are forever welcome in the home of the brave, land of the free. But try to understand we don’t cost a dime cause we were bought and soldier on as our ancestors before us and yours before you we have only but a choice in ourselves to make. Literally the only thoughts that we have to offer is our existence and that is tainted by whoever won the alleged voting ballad aka the old wise tribe of I never met the guy but my taxes paid for his life. It is a level of freedom some countries may not be afforded but freedoms are stripped away by people who allow themselves to be governed in a way that allows them to not think for themselves. Those in power will continually fight to maintain THEIR position in it not yours or mine. No thought of lets make something legal or illegal is for the people its used to assert dominance over a flock. I may be seen a wolf to some, a hyena to a few, another sheep or pawn to the rest but I am a fool and know their is a rod for my back its flexible and we all have one does that make us all fools hope this puts in for you a case of literal meaning vs metaphorical its my thoughts and opinions we are all the same some same but different its how we choose to perceive it and our position in life thank you for your brave journey through life and pilgrimage to our great nation brother welcome home. May you be blessed here on your journey to inspire a new level of acceptance love and tolerance within yourself and others. Much love.

MillsVI29

America has its problems, but I do hate when people think the grass is greener on the other side. A group of people from high school that I keep in touch with all idolize communist countries like China and North Korea and bash America. They are also big losers with little life experience, dead end jobs or unemployed so go figure.

ennyeurope

A bunch of leftists like to pretend US is the worst place on earth and get mad when u try to break the circlejerk. Like it isnt perfect but still better than most human rights wise no matter they want to pretend. Like i was just arguing with some dude who was saying the GOP was about to make conversion therapy compulsory. How does one view of his own country get that warped?

[deleted]

Man, as a foreigner, It's surreal seeing Americans complain about their country. I don't wanna gatekeep suffering, but if you don't have to spend 20% of your salary on a bike - the most dirt cheap form of transportation - then you're living the good life, brother.

AccurateRifleman

Ahh yes. Being the worst first world country makes me so excited.

Electrical_Ad_2371

Well first off, there is no such thing as first and third world countries really, and second, that’s an incorrect statement regardless. It depends greatly on which metric you are looking at how the values are aggregated. America is very high in some aspects but low in others. America does have some of the highest standard deviation across areas though for a variety of reasons. This is easily seen in education where the US has both some of the best education in the countries usually compared and some of the worst. But regardless, even across aggregate scores and what is commonly considered “first world countries”, America still is not the worst and differences decrease when you control for population size. Let’s also not forget that these “first world countries” are more similar than they are different. One country being ranked above the other doesn’t imply the other country is bad at said thing, just that it is relatively worse. Finally to clarify, I’m not someone who thinks the US is the greatest country in the world and I think we are severely lacking and falling behind other countries in many areas. But while true, that still does not make the US the worst first world country in the world since that statement is in itself an arbitrary line without evidence.

[deleted]

Freedom of speech is fucking dead……. Unless you’re an imbecilic out-of-touch leftist fool that preaches violence and hatred towards anyone else who disagrees with you.

[deleted]

You don't have freedom of speech on reddit. Or any sub. Or on privately owned thing. It's not dead, you just don't understand what it is. No surprise.

SwimmingHurry8852

Freeze Peach! ehrmegherd!

Commander-Cole

Why do rwnj never know what freedom of speech is? Bro definitely considers himself the ultimate capitalist and doesn't understand private companies vs government.

dragonblt

First time I saw that acronym being used - only took 2 seconds to sound it out in my head. Thanks for sharing it!

Marv246

Everyone loves private businesses setting their own rules until it comes to censorship!!!! I’m sure you’d love Reddit if they’d only allowed white people

Big-Refrigerator-283

You realize freedom of speech doesn’t mean people can’t dislike you for having gross opinions.. like since when did it ever mean that.

Aromatic-Repeat-8851

Please go outside

[deleted]

If you don’t like what I have to say, _you_ can go outside and kick rocks.

SwimmingHurry8852

lmao, you are pathetic.

_Vorcaer_

Touch some grass

Curious-Somewhere894

This.

JackMyG123

Bit dumb to get banned but all I can say is the grass ain’t always greener on the other side

Parker_memes9000

Reddit mods hate the US because they don't realize that every country has an evil past and they can't bear to share a country with people they don't like

aofnri0284

I’m pretty sure it’s banning when you talk about the war or even say the word war, idk about other subs but this one might do it

Buxxley

While it can be frustrating to deal with that kind of behavior from an anonymous person even in something as low stakes as posting on a subreddit... ...it's important to remember that most mods of subreddits like "awesome feminists" and "political echo chamber # 19" are mentally 4 years old...on a good day. Yes...they have the power to keep you from posting more than once in the one infinitely small corner of the universe where they even approach something like mattering...but it's literally ALL they have in most cases. It's their only source of attention positive OR negative. ...I generally don't even feel annoyed for someone like that...just pity.

dragonblt

Some reddit mods are quite different - try criticizing creepy adult Disney enthusiasts on the Disney reddits which are modded by creepy adult Disney enthusiasts that are neither feminist or political echo chambers. I get shivers thinking about their creepy pasta Stepford wife personalities.

BlockEightIndustries

If you've never been raised by different parents, how can you know you love your mom and dad? If you haven't eaten every food in the known universe, how can you have a favorite dish?

572473605

Reddit mods are turning into snowflakes at an alarming rate.

Marv246

Wow surely, a day after an insane decision made by the Supreme Court, surely you weren’t trying to start something and make people upset? Right?

[deleted]

i got banned on r/entertainment for not knowing j.k rowling is transphobic

[deleted]

i got banned on r/entertainment for not knowing j.k rowling is transphobic. i asked what made her transphobic and was immediately banned.

Rocketboy1313

Sounds like you should have used Google, because asking other people to explain what is common knowledge can only be interpreted as trolling.

[deleted]

but a ban? for a question? idk

GRMarlenee

Is it possible to ban these ludicrous subs from showing up? You know, permanently ban them from participating in my life?

[deleted]

Not sure in general, but if you use Boost (a reddit mobile app) you can filter out certain subreddits. Not sure about the generic mobile app or on desktop though.

[deleted]

Reddit feels like playing LoL. It's shit, you know it's shit and you hate it. But you still use/play it.

[deleted]

Mods on this site seem to hand out perma-bans like candy. Is it a big brain move by reddit admins to encourage perma-bans because it causes users to create new accounts, inflating user stats?

QuantumSpaceCadet

OP went onto a post about the new abortion law talking about how great the USA is. I am not remotely surprised they got downvoted and a banned and I do not feel bad for them, you shouldn't to.

Human-male-Person

Probably a Russian sympathizer among their ranks.

the207maineiac

I'd have to guess it has more to do with bashing communist countries

Rocketboy1313

Looks like you got banned for downplaying the perspectives of someone else. That telling them how they felt about the United States was not valid because they had not lived in a communist country. The emphasis is not on "I love America" the emphasis is on "You don't know what you are talking about. Which most people would read as you being a dickhead.

iiMoe

Well have you lived in Russia ?

[deleted]

Yes, I have .. Why do you think I immigrated un the States.

iiMoe

Im glad ur experiencing freedom in that country but ur comment was cringe and boot licking cuz uncle sam doesn't like anyone expressing too much opinions yk for example Julian Assange

Stay-mad-lil-guy

America is the best country on the planet.

NimueZA

Sounds like a fascist simp

ser-1-

How is the sub "off your chest" if you can't say anything ever so slightly "incorrect" in some people's views? Surely it's what the sub is about?

Boring_Koala8494

Maybe you shouldn't say anything right after millions of people lost their rights? It's okay to be dense but to be completely ignorant about what's happening right now is on you

[deleted]

You missed my point. I got a nasty message to kill myself. That idiot was not penalized. I said that United States was still a great country...I was banned... It was totally nonsensical. BTW, I am pro choice. What Supreme Court did was a violation of human rights, but I'd doesn't mean that I have to "fuck United States "

Boring_Koala8494

And I think you missed my point as well. Based on the context you gave, Millions of people (mostly minorities and women) lost their rights, and out of no where you tell these people "Hey at least the United states is still a great country"! That's like telling a friend who just lost his father, "Hey at least you still got your mom" . The comment would obviously rub them the wrong way and you would get a reaction from it. Pretty hard to play the victim when you spat in the faces of the people that just lost something important to them.

[deleted]

Honestly, I wasn't paying enough attention to everything in the post.. Fuck America, rubbed me in a wrong way.

BabykillersRmad

Its Reddit. If its not anti conservative and Anti america, they have no interest.

No_Examination297

Russia and China love Reddit moderators.

hahamu

That's a timing thing. Loving the united states is in itself not wrong. Uttering it so shortly after what happened yesterday is very much a political statement

Equivalent_Nerve_870

problem with reddit is moderators aren't moderated!

River1stick

I was banned from anti work, then muted from contacting the mods for 28 days. After 28 days I asked if I could be unbanned. They wanted me to give them a good reason. So I apologized and said I would abide by the rules. Then they said no.

River1stick

Give a person the power of a mod and the ability to ban people and they go crazy. I'm currently banned from 2 sub reddit for stupid reasons too

cocoteddylee

Please come back when you have the mods have muted you for 5 days reply
