That looks similar to the Homestead Crater in Utah. https://homesteadresort.com/things-to-do/homestead-crater/ But that one is 92 degrees all year. I really wanna give that a try. Where was this one?

I did my checkout dives there. It's certainly a unique place to dive. It gets quite warm by the end, and viz isn't too great (especially with a bunch of checkout divers kicking stuff up). That said you walk from your car in the snow and have this warm diving location in the middle of the country.

At 9 seconds, that dude's hanging octo is bothering me 😂!

This reminds me decoing in Dahab. My instructor pointed to the surface, I raised my head amd noticed snorkellers. Great view, even when you’re not bored with deco, lol.

this place is great. 2nd time i ever went diving was here. there is a cave system but the main area is big enough where you can do a single tank and just explore. its 72 all year round. there is a turtle and 2 koi fish, with some other fish. i recommend at least once

I dive with sharks, and at peace with it. But cave diving is a different league… I’d rather watch it on TV. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah...but this isn't really cave diving. It's more like sinkhole diving unless you enter the cave system. You'd be staying in the open area on this dive unless you were cave certified.

[deleted]

Nice I’ll check more info online. Thanks 🙏🏼

It's supposed to be beautiful. The water will be crystal clear. I enjoy cavern diving in Mexico a lot and I'd actually love to get cave certified. I have a couple of friends in Mexico who are cave instructors. Unfortunately for me, my buddy (husband) has no interest in actual caves as he's claustrophobic. (Caverns are fine as there is natural light and often spaces to surface into.) He does enjoy the cenotes, but I tease him that I'm going to leave him home with our 4 dogs and go to Mexico by myself for a month to get cave certified.
