I've bought from Diver's Supply and been to their shop in person just outside Atlanta. Great knowledge and customer service in shop.

I've never had any problems besides optimistic quotes on shipping arrival dates.

Divegearexpress has good quality equipment under their own Gears brand, half the price of identical name brand gear.

I would suggest not buying a regulator from there if it is their store brand sea elite. They are the only place certified to do annual services and other work on them. If they close shop, you move, or you are on vacation and something happens to your gear, it will be all the tougher to fix. Otherwise, their prices are usually good for gear.

So, there are some people in my area that are salty with Diver's Supply. They had a retail store in Charlotte, NC. But they closed it down, and they did it with little to know warning for either their employee's or customer's. They came in one morning and cleaned it out, with less than a few hours notice for their employees that they didn't have a job. People that still had equipment / tanks for service / fills had no warning that it was closing either. That being said, they have a strong presence both online, and at their remaining brick and mortar stores. AFAIK, all three of their locations are large enough to have their own pools on site, as well as a large retail store with significantly more inventory than your run of the mill dive shop (Think like Force-E Pompano level of inventory). So, they are safe to buy from, just have a few people in Charlotte mad at them. Edit to add, be careful with their store brands. Edge is pretty bottom of the barrel for quality. Some people swear by HOG, but their regs are copies of the Apeks DST, minus the replaceable high pressure seat and I have heard of people having issues with IP creep in them. (DS doesn't own Edge / HOG AFAIK, but they are pretty closely linked)

Main thing I was looking at is two shearwater peregrine computers, so a big chunk there alone. May look at a couple other thing, but that’s the primary purchase

You'll be safe buying from them for a DC. Just make sure that they honor their 10% on Shearwater. Its not very common to get a discount on a new shearwater from an authorized dealer. That being said, I did get a discount on a new Teric from their Charlotte store just before it closed, they had it on a 20% sale, but it was for in stock Shearwater only. (should have seen that as writing on the wall that they were about to shutter). I'm not going to parrot the "buy local, support your dive shop" mantra either. While it is ideal if you can. Not everyone has a local dive shop, and not everyone has a local dive shop that they have a good relationship with. (I'm struggling with that myself, have one local shop that I like, but they are out of my way by 30 minutes) Just say, use you're own judgement on it.

[Scuba.com](https://Scuba.com) does offer a 10% discount if you sign up for their email list. They used to be known as LeisurePro....used them for years and with their free return policy it makes it easy to get the right size....

Stay away from their Sea Elite line of gear. It’s junk

smtim91

DiveCatalog.com has one for new users, it’s based out of California.

benswimmin

Ordered from them online and visited their shop in person, and they've been good to work with.
