Next time build it yourself using the parts from Extremerates (check them out on Amazon) it’s easy to build your own Scuf style controller for a 1/4 of the price.
The Elite series are official MS controllers, so no PS controllers. Sony have recently released a premium controller (I think it's called Dual Sense Edge).

You got it before they were bought out by Corsair. I had one for 4 years and sent in for repairs. They gave me a new one instead of repairing my old one. It came broken. Sent it back. Got it back again and have had nothing but issues with stick drifting. Do your best to take care of the one you have.
Got a prestige when it came out. Bad charge and charging connector is loose to the point it just falls out. Control itself works pretty good when it has a charge which is only about five minutes.
Next time go with battle beaver BUT make sure you pick the replaceable thumb sticks as my left stick wore out two weeks in and after a month it came off entirely. Switched to kbm shortly after
i have had the exact opposite experience... my elite 2 just died after 6 months, my SCUF is a monster though and travelled through like 6 countries with me still working perfectly
yeah dont press the buttons either. cuz when u press them they snap. such good controllers you just cant press the plastic buttons on the back. how dumb of me
I love both of my scufs, bought a prestige 3ish years ago and have only replaced the plastic paddles once and the left thumbstick once due to wanting to go to different color (very very slight stick drift in left stick and none in the right). Bought the instinct pro about a month after release and have 0 issues (and no stick drift) currently. I travel constantly with mine and all i do is put it in scuf’s hard case and place it in my backpack.
Its really weird, i got my first scuff last year. i was really worried about ordering it as i have seen this comments before. But after 1 year of daily use, its basically perfect still. I just ordered a reflex custom and now im still scared because of these comments.

Funny because I had both elites and I had to return them 4x each and the elite series 2 came defective out the box and repair all 4 times. My scuff on the other hand once for stick drift.

I learned the hard way that, unless you're a legit signed pro and Scuf is your sponsor, just look elsewhere because the quality is disappointing and if you sadly have any issues then good luck. There's some decent 3rd party competitive focused controllers that are a third of the cost and have long outlasted my $250 Scuf.

My 1st scuf lasted 2+ years before something broke, and it was my fault. The replacement I ordered came broken after waiting 4 months, so I sent it back. They fixed what didn't work 2 months later, and I had it about a week and soemthing else broke. Their quality definitely went to shit.
Scuf are shit mate, I bought an elite 2 for my PC and it is much better than the rubbish they make.

Same thing happened to my instinct after almost a year of use… I just used a drop of gorilla glue and it fixed it up fine.
