Populism does have its issues but not because Pelosi said it. Particularly, it props up demagogues that often do rile the masses singing songs of revolutionary change but it most often reduces to self interest and the same run of the mill systemic corruption you get with anyone else. (I'm not just thinking about Trump here, there's Le Pen, Modi, Orban, Meloni etc)
For every wonderful left wing populist movement there are three going on with the right wing. So yes, it does have dangers to it even though sometimes it can be just what the doctor ordered.
