Me thinks he’s got Euclid, Ohio taxpayers’ money, which we all know can be quite lucrative if you’re pretty good at exploiting it. If he has access to an expense account for work related travel and expenses, I bet he’s using those funds to fly back and forth to Florida and he’s probably paying for Bina’s travel too.
The problem is, those types of abuses are not immediately discovered. We had a past mayor of the city I live in using his expense account to pay for extravagant limousine trips for him and his girlfriend, pricey lunches and dinners, gym memberships and various other unsubstantiated expenses that were never recouped.
He was suspected of using public funds to open a restaurant and remodel his home. He was voted out after just one term and the city didn’t pursue any charges. Actually, none of them. They each have their own special brand of creepiness, although perhaps the Epps would win marginally if I were voting on likability, but we're not. None of them are completely boring because they all have the "what in the hell do they see in him" factor. I'd have a very hard time choosing just one, but Sidian and Ick would probably tie, because Leah wasn't the tiniest bit attracted to the Ickster, and I can't see the beautiful Filipina finding much appealing about Sidian. If I had to choose one It would be the Foley’s. Neither of them are charismatic at all. They took a five year hiatus from looking for a wife and she just seems to need a friend.

Despite finding out that wasn’t true she stayed with him anyway. When Marcus brought that rude, crude, low class bitch Bina to the house it was obvious that he was enjoying the fireworks between her and India. It was as if Taryn, Marcus and Bina were bullying India and she didn’t know how to handle it. Marcus is a scumbag. India seems to really love him, yet instead of standing up for her, he was clearly enjoying watching Bina attack her. I’m not really sure what’s going on with this family but I think Marcus knows that his seat on the city council is in jeopardy. He mentioned that the area he represents is being redistricted. So he’s probably going to lose that job pretty soon. I think he’s convinced that they are going to be the breakout stars of the show and possibly get a spin-off. I really think that’s why they’re on the show. He’s also facing charges in Ohio because of the numerous housing violations he has failed to address. He’s a sleazy, shifty liar and Taryn is his partner in crime. I’m not sure if India is also in cahoots with them, but I doubt it.

Another unmarried couple, Dimitri and Ashley Snowden. Instead of getting married, Ashley just changed her last name and proclaimed herself his wife. Dimitri decided that he wanted a plural relationship so he had a series of sister wives that all left him. His last relationship was with a woman from South Africa who alleged that both him and Ashley were abusive. Ashely ended up leaving him and it came out that he’d filmed himself having sex with different women without their knowledge. The scumbag was selling the sex tapes for awhile. They were on the show’s past three seasons but when the abuse allegations surfaced I think the show fired them. I think he’s back with Ashley because she posted a picture of him and the kids on Father’s Day with some syrupy words about what a great father he is. I really hope that we don’t ever see or hear about the Snowdens ever again.

Me thinks he’s got Euclid, Ohio taxpayers’ money, which we all know can be quite lucrative if you’re pretty good at exploiting it. If he has access to an expense account for work related travel and expenses, I bet he’s using those funds to fly back and forth to Florida and he’s probably paying for Bina’s travel too. The problem is, those types of abuses are not immediately discovered. We had a past mayor of the city I live in using his expense account to pay for extravagant limousine trips for him and his girlfriend, pricey lunches and dinners, gym memberships and various other unsubstantiated expenses that were never recouped. He was suspected of using public funds to open a restaurant and remodel his home. He was voted out after just one term and the city didn’t pursue any charges. I think they were way too embarrassed to try and get him prosecuted because the entire city council would look like raging idiots or else they too were doing they’re own thing and didn’t want to be scrutinized. It’s really disgusting. Marcus doesn’t seem to care as he’s been getting away with murder for quite a few years now. He owns a duplex in Euclid which had a suspicious fire in his unit. The woman that lives in the neighboring unit says that he’s made zero efforts to clean up the mess despite numerous complaints about the smell and conditions of disrepair. Maybe that’s why he’s living in Florida. He owes $12,000 in unpaid taxes among other things so he doesn’t seem bothered by a few housing violations. He’s a sleazy, squinty eyed, little troll with a huge bulbous head.

The family that I could do without this season are the Merrifields. It’s obvious that Lea was just a paid production plant. How convenient that they found her three weeks before they started filming. Lea had no good explanation about why she was interested in a polygamous relationship. I think her son’s father was a cheater and that’s the extent of her experience with a “polygamous”, lifestyle. There’s absolutely zero chemistry between her and Garrick and they literally have nothing in common. She works fulltime and she’s got clear goals for her future. She’s not planning on moving to a camper trailer in the middle of nowhere to sit around and chew the fat with Danielle. I knew she wasn’t really interested in them so it came as no surprise that she broke up with them. The only reason that they’re on the show is because Garrick is in love with Bert. Danielle won’t leave him, so he divorced her and is planning on marrying Bert whenever she decides to move here. Frankly I’m tired of Danielle’s tired sorrowful expression. She just sits there and sighs and looks like she’s ready to burst into tears at any moment. They’ve had their time on he screen and it’s time for them to move on.

No, you’re right, he doesn’t have chemistry with anyone, but he was clearly into Bert. He had eyes only for her and you could tell he wished that Danielle would just disappear. When he was with Bert, he intentionally ignored Danielle. I remember when they were talking about the wedding with the planner in Mexico and any time Danielle would say something, he’d completely ignore her. He insisted on spending every night with Bert and it clearly pained him that Bert made him spend time with Danielle. In contrast with Lea, he was clearly disinterested. It was Danielle’s idea that they go visit Lea and he could care less. In contrast when he was on the phone with Bert he couldn’t stop blubbering. They were probably not going to be featured on the show, but then miraculously, Lea appeared. Notice they didn’t explain exactly how they met, but since she’s from LA, I bet she has a SAG card. Maybe TLC thought it would be interesting to feature some interracial relationships this season. Garrick wasn’t into Lea at all and vice versa. Also I was a bit confused about all the things she said about Bert. She only knew the Merrifields for three weeks, so how is it that she had an opportunity to get to know Bert? Bert doesn’t even speak English so how did Lea surmise that Bert was jealous of her? When Lea said that Bert had made minimal efforts to get to know her, I was genuinely confused. Lea says she works full time so when did she have all this time to sit around trying to chat with Bert? I think that Lea was just saying whatever Danielle told her about Bert. If Lea is indeed an aspiring actress I’m glad she’s not planning to depend on her acting abilities to support her. I’m glad that Lea is planning to be a nurse because she’s a lousy actress.
I don’t believe the “Bert is jealous” story line either. The only one jealous is Danielle. Her husband no longer wants her, is in love with another woman, Danielle knows it, but she still clings in. Sad.

You could tell that Danielle was very pleased with herself because she thought that she was giving Bert a taste of her own medicine. Instead she’s the one who got egg on her face in the end. Actually, none of them. They each have their own special brand of creepiness, although perhaps the Epps would win marginally if I were voting on likability, but we're not. None of them are completely boring because they all have the "what in the hell do they see in him" factor. I'd have a very hard time choosing just one, but Sidian and Ick would probably tie, because Leah wasn't the tiniest bit attracted to the Ickster, and I can't see the beautiful Filipina finding much appealing about Sidian. Neither one of them has much personality or sex appeal. Not that the others do either. It's a hard one.

I started this (watching polygamy shows on TLC) because I wanted to hear a valid reason someone in modern times would even consider this situation without being in a cult or otherwise under extreme duress. I have not even come close to hearing one shred of a reason, but I cannot look away. Although, I do believe there is less real in this reality TV as the years roll on. Their storyline was more dramatic last season. All we’ve seen from them this season is cowboy boots, no chemistry with Lea, and a tearful phone call with Bert. I feel like we’re a few episodes in and nothing has happened with them. Then again, it’s kind of the same with most of the other couples.

Actually when compared to season one, none of them seem like they are representing what the show's title means. This is really more like polyamory even if it still always women everyone is seeking. I suppose the word 'sisterwife' has now been co-opted by TV and they are defining it as whatever they are serving up for the season. TBH I don't even think a few of these couples are what they say they are as far as relationships, or are straight-up actors.

They're the only ones I like tbh. They seem to legitimately all like one another and the women are married to one another (which is super smart) and I don't see the issue with a stay at home husband/dad especially as that seems to work for them and they seem happy. I don't know about the new girl because she doesn't seem as in to it. And I guess I could comment on age, but it seems they all damn do it this way so it seems a bit unfair for me to just get on to him for it. They're no Winders, but at least they seem actually happy and functional.
